The students each played a Christmas selection of their choice, and exchanged Rifts. Later refreshments were serv ed by Mrs. Lutz assisted by Mrs. Kenneth Wondra. Mrs. Nottley is a native of Canada, residing eleven years in the United States in Omaha, Sioux City and tiro past two years in Murray. Her husband, also formerly of Canada, has been a citizen for ten years. They have a daughter Clarelda. Said Mrs. Nottley in receiv ing her papers "This is a nice Christmas present." Christmas Party For Gas Employees The Gas Company held their annual employe Christmas Par ty Friday evening. Alter the dinner at Mack's Kitchen, the group journeyed to the Blue Flame Room at the Gas Office for an evening of games. Out of town guests were Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Deane, Mrs. L. D. Densmore and Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Fenstermaker from Lin coln. Miss Campbell Home For Holidays Janet Campbell arrived home Friday night to spend the holi days with her parents and many friends nere. Miss Campbell has just com pleted an airline stewardess six weeks course in Dallas Texas. She will receive her orders in early January at which time she will tvport to her station. Mrs. Irus Gerdes was receiv- ed as a new member. After the business meeting, gifts were exchanged. Mrs. Leroy Meisiner gave the lesson on Watehdoirs for the Consumer, a study of the laws and bureaus which protect the consumer. i Christmas decorations and lunch were prepared by the hos tess, Mrs, Meisinger. Naomi Circle Meets At Davis Home Naomi Circle of the Methodist Church met Dec. 17 at the home, of Mrs. J. Howard Davis with Mrs. Grace Parker and Mrs. Robert Humbton as assistant hostesses. The devotions were given by Mrs. G. O. Schwenneker usms the Christmas story and the ori gin of the carols. The carols were sung during this part ol the meeting. The business was conducted by the chairman Mrs. H. B. Perry. Plans were made for the fam ily night Dec. 30. A gift exchange was held af terwhich Marilyn Hutchinson played piano solos. Refreshments in keeping with the season were served by the hostesses. Kenosha Extension Club At Bcil Home Kenosha Extension Club met at the home of Mrs. Greeley Beil for a regular meeting Dec. 16. Roll call was answered by tell ing "your most memorable Christmas." Mrs. Raymond Cundall read the Christmas Story and "yes, I Virginia there is a Santa Claus. " Members joined in singing "Si lent Night" and read the Ne braska Extension Club Home Creed in unison. Subjects were chosen for the next year study course as hats, vacation in Nebraska, house plants and insect enemies. Mrs. Louis Sack ge.ve the les ion 'charm and personality." Members exchanged food gilts. Lunch was served bv the hos tess Mrs. Beil and assistant ho tess, Mrs. Sack. The next meeting will be Jan. 20 at the home of Mrs. John To man with the lesson to be "Home Storage." 15oy Mr. and Mrs. LaVerne Mei singer have become the parents of an adopted baby boy. He has been named Jon Charles. Nevv Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Mclntyre of Belgrade, and Mr. and Mrs. Otto Meising er, Great Grandmothers are Mrs. Bertha Hellbusch of Valley and Mrs. Elizabeth Stoehr of this city. Norris will observe their Golden Wedding anniversary with open house Sunday, Dec. 27, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Congregational Church in Weeping Water. Friends are invited to call without further in vitation. Mr. Norris was County Commissioner from the Second District 11 years. Both have been active in church, lodges, County Fair and Mrs. Norris in Woman's Club, Red Cross, 4-II and Ex tension Clubs. They have a son, Clarence, Weeping Water, and two grandchildren. Dancing Class Has Party Saturday Antholee Rizzi was hostess at a Christmas party Saturday af ternoon at St. John's Hall for members of her dancing class, their mothers, brothers and sis ters. Cartoons and movies of last year's dancing recital were shown. Ice cream, cookies, pop, coffee, and candy cane treats were served to fifty guests. Shcllenbarger PLATTSMOUTH, NEBR. Mrs. Mynard Club Meets at Jacobs' The Mrs. Mynard Extension Club met at the home of Mrs. George Jacobs. The meeting was opened by the reading of the Christmas Story" by Mrs. Mel vin Shafer. Following the business meeting, the lesson, "Your Christmas Tree," was presented by Mrs. Leonard Peterson. A Christmas Cookie exchange was made by each member bringing a dozen cookies and recipe for each other. The next meeting will be at the home of Mrs. Leonard Peter son. Holiday Dinner And Party For Legion and Ladies Members of the American Le gion Post and its Auxiliary and their mates met in the 40 & 8 Club Rooms Tuesday evening for their annual Christmas covered dish supper and party. . The buffet table held an abundance of food including the ham provided by the hosts. The attractive centerpiece was made by Mrs. Lloyd Fitch. Following the dinner the guests enjoyed a games party and several prizes were awarded. Tom Solomon received the door prize. All enjoyed a gift ex change. The remainder of the evening was spent visiting and danc ing. Don Warga, Adjutant of the Post, announced forthcoming parties on New Years Eve and one in February, the date to be announced later. Fairview Women Meet ELMWOOD The Fairview Woman's Club met with Mrs. Lloyd Miller Dec. 17 for its annual Christmas covered dish dinner and gift exchange. There were nine members and three visitors present. Next meeting will be with Mrs. Don ald Fredenburg Jan. 21.
