LlffERloI' Dear Editor: Much has been said and printed about the Cass County Commissioners and Highway Superintendent lately. Because of this, it has promp ted me to write a few lines. Quoting from the Sunday World Herald of Nov. 29. 1959, page 10-B, It states that "9 counties are over-asking U. S. secondary funds and 58 counties get ex tra apportionments in addition to original shares. This excess came from money not used by other counties and reallocated by the state." Further down, in the fine print of the article we read that among "counties and amounts lost since 1954, Cass County is $30,369." From this it looks like may be we need an investigation as to just what is going on in this county. The more we talk and visit with taxpayers over the county It all adds up to the fact that many people are thinking that perhaps this mishandling and wasting of public funds, espec ially the Federal Matching andi, Mail Rdutefunds ,' should" be Investigated' by a Grand ' Jury i Very Truly Yours Richard O.
