Funeral of Jacob C. Hennings at Louisville Services were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the chapel of the Fusselman Funeral Home at Louisville for Jacob C. Hen -nlngs, longtime resident of Cass County. Rev. Harlan Brei of ficiated. Wilbur Hubbell was soloist, singing Sweet Hour of Prayer and Be Still My Soul. Burial was at Glendale Cem etery with Henry Gardner Jr., Lloyd Hell, Elmer Hennings, Harry Schafer. Emil Schafer and Clarence Hennings as pallbearers. Funeral of Benedict J. Schram at Omaha Funeral services were held this (Thursday) morning at 10 o'clock at the Troia funeral home in Omaha for Benedict J. Sch ram of Weeping Water whose death occurred Sunday. The body lay in state at the Troia funeral home Wednesday afternoon and evening. The ser vices were conducted by Father John P. Stears. Burial was at St. Mary Mag dalene cemetery in Omaha with Michael Ricker, George Ricker, Paul Schram, Jr., Joseph, Clar ence and Conrad Schram as pall bearers. The Caldwell-Llnder funeral home of Plattsmouth was in charge of arrangements. Funeral Services Cuthmann at St. John's Church Funeral services were held this morning at 9:30 at St. John the Baptist church in this city for Conrad Guthmann, 80, who passed away Sun. at hi3 home in Pittsburg, Pa. The family of Mr. Guthmann were early day mem bers of St. John's and where he had worshiped in hi3 younger days. f Rt. Rev. Msgr., Joseph Przud zik, pastor of the church, cele brated the mass. Burial was in the Holy Sepulchre cemetery with George J. Jaeger, Edward and William Fitzgerald. John L. Hadraba, Joseph Wooster, Peter Kaufmann of Omaha as pall bearers. Tuesday afternoon at the cha pel of the Sattler Funeral Home was held the last rites for Glor ia Jean Bressman, Omaha high school student who was killed in an accident in Omaha Dec. 15. Rev. E. H. Marquardt of Om aha officiated at the service and Mrs. George Jacobs was organ ist. Burial was in Oak Hill Cem etery with school friends from South High as pallbearers Joe Montello, Bob Riieyj Jim Chlupacek, Harlan "Jura,-Ricft-ard Janousek and Leo Pribyl. Rose Early Day Union Resident Dies Cass county residents will learn with regret of the death of Virgil E. Rose, 91. at Cole ridge, Nebr., on Wednesday, Dec. 2 at the Coleridge Nursing home where he suffered a heart attack. He had been failing since Friday preceeding his death when he sustained a fall at the home. Mr. Ro;e was a member of a pioneer family of Liberty pre cinct, born February 11, 1868, in a log cabin near Union, where : his parents were early settlers, j On February 26, 1891, Mr. Rose! was married to Ella Sherwood! at Union and they continued j to make their home in that j community until 1912 when theyj located in the Coleridge com munity. i Mr. and Mrs. Rose celebrated , their golden wedding last Feb- j ruary at their home with mem- ! bers of their family and friends. Surviving Mr. Sherwood are ! the wife, Ella; one daughter, ! Mrs. Velma Schultz, Sheridan, j Mont.; two sons, Frank of Twin ! Bridges, Mont., and Reginald, Coleridge. Mrs. John Hobscheidt, Sr., of this city is a sister of Mrs. Rose. Last rites for Mr. Rose will be Friday at Coleridge and burial th.ere. SES Fills 29 Jobs in November Plattsmouth and Cass County Operations of the State Employ ment Service in November in volved 29 jobs filled of which 9 were agricultural, 19 new non farm job openings received, 22 persons directed to nonfarm job opportunities, 13 new applica tions for work and 52 visits to! the office for services.
