Mrs. Edward Sprieck was hostess to the ladies of the Murray Study Club Thursday afternoon. President, Mrs. Evelyn McKul tky, asked the group to stand and repeat the Lord s Prayer to open the meeting. This was fol lowed by the flag salute. After a short business session, consisting of the Secretary's re port of the last meeting and plans made for the Christmas party on the regular date with a covered dish luncheon at noon and gift exchange In the after noon at the home of Mrs. C. D. Spangler, Mrs. Clara Druecker devoted a short period of time to a continuation of her lessons on Parliamentary Law. The meeting was then turned over to the leader, Mrs. Harley Lloyd, who presented an inter esting lesson on "Fifteen Great Hymns." After giving the his tory of the hymn, the author and the circumstances under which it was written, the first stanza of each was sung by the group, accompanied by Mrs. Leona Boedecker at the piano. At the close of the meeting a social hour was enjoyed and refreshments were served by the hostess, assisted by Mrs. Alta Young. Mrs. Tritsch Hosts Sunnyside Extension MURRAY (Special). Sunny side Extension club met with Mrs. Richard Tritsch Tuesday afternoon with ten members, two guests and six children in attendance. Dec. il v.a3 the date set for the ChrLtr.ias Party. Mrs. Ciaia Druecker will be hostess .o the group at a lunch ton o.i December 15. It was de cided, ai3o, that the group will sponsor tha Heart Fund Cam paign for the Murray area dur ing the month of February. Mrs. Elmer Tritsch presented the lesson "Watchdogs for Mrs. Consumer." At the conclusion of the meet ing, Mrs. Tritsch served refresh ments. Shower At Tritsches For Miss Marler The Misses Mary Ellen Tritsch and Carolie Hunting were host esses at a miscellaneous bridal shewer honoring Miss Charlotte Marler. . Twelve guests, former school friends of the bride-to-be"were entertained at the Tritsch home. The honoree received her gifts from a decorated kitchen cart, and later the hostesses served refreshments. Miss Marler will wed Mr, Phil lip Lawrence this Friday at the Evangelical and Reformed Church here. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wal ter J. And it won't be long before we again can be preeners." Hazel Gold Wed Sunday At Portland Miss Hazel Alene Oold became the bride of Keith R. McAlear, Sunday, Nov. 29 at 1 p.m. in the Chapel of the First Christian Church at Portland. Ore. The Rev. Harold Glen Brown officiated at the double ring ceremony in the presence of a few close friends and relatives. The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bruce E. Gold of Platts- mouth, was given in marriage by her uncle, Mr. A. M. Cock ran of Portland. Mr. and Mrs. R. J. McAlear. Missoula, Mon tana are parents of the groom. For her wedding, the bride chose a white wool sheath dress, matching hat and wore a cor sage of garnet roses. Miss Judy Bowers of Portland was maid of honor and Mr. Ted Winger was best man for his brother-in-law. Following the ceremony a re ception was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. M. Cochran, aunt and uncle of the bride. After a short trip to California the young couple will reside at 837 Murphy Road, Mont Crest, Medford, Oregon. Verna Neeman Weds Mr. Workman LOUISVILLE (Special) Miss Verna Neeman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Bowman of Weeping Water and Danny Workman, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Workman of Louisville were united in Holy Matrimony at the Immanuel Lutheran Church at Louisville. Rev. Lyle R. Mueller performed the double ring ceremony. Mrs. Fern Jochim played the organ. The bride was given In marri age by her brother, Delmer Nee man. She wore a floor length gown of Chantilly lace over taf feta. The scalloped neckline was covered with pearls and irides cent sequins. Long sleeves taper ed to bridal points over the hands. The bride's veil was of white net with pearls and irides cent sequins surrounding the crown. She carried a bouquet of white carnations, blue mums, and lilies of the valley. Her only jewelry was a pearl necklace. Attending the bride as matron of honor was Mrs. Donald Dobbs, gowned in a blue chiffon dress over taffeta. Her accessor ies were blue. Donald Dobbs served as best man. A reception followed the cere mony in the church parlors. Pauline Nielsen cut the wedding cake. Mrs. Bill Workman pour ed the coffee and punch. For her going away costume the bride wore a green wool sheath with black accessories. The bride groom is a 1953 graduate of the Louisville High School and the bride, a 1959 graduate of the Weeping Water High School. The couple is making their home in Louisville. Libershal Home Scene Of Family Holiday Dinner Mr. and Mrs. Charles Wolever and children, Laure, Marti and Terri Ann of Columbus were here for the Thanksgiving holi day at the home of Joe Liber shal and with Mrs. Sophia Wol ever. Also at the Libershal home and visiting other relatives here were Mr. and Mrs. Joe Noble and children, Jo Ann, Carla, Mike and Mary Jean of In dianapolis, Ind., arriving Tues day. The families ate their holiday dinner at the Libershal home. They left for their homes Sun day. Anniversary Dinner At Gardner Home Mrs. Fred Gardner surprised Mr. and Mrs. Dewey D'Ercole of Omaha at the Gardner home Wednesday evening honoring them on their 25th wedding an niversary. The three-course dinner was served at six o'clock with tur key and all the trimmings in the dining room by candlelight. The centerpiece was silver bells, white candles and Lily of the Valley. Placards also depicted the 25th celebration, and the three-tier anniversary cake was decorated with silver bells. Guests were Mrs. Wilma Lu ehrs, Elmer Gochenour, Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Clifford McGraw, Mr. and Mrs. Dewey D'Ercole and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Gardner. The evening was spent playing pinochle and prizes were won by Mrs. Gardner and Mrs. D'Ercole. The honorees received many lovely gifts. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Keil enter tained Mr. and Mrs. J. H. The couple is attending the University of Nebraska, where she is a member of Zcta Tau Alpha Sorority. The wedding date is Dec. 19, 1959 at the First Presbyterian Church in Plattsmouth. Gary Younker of Denver was an over Thanksgiving visitor here at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Vernie Younker and other relatives and friends, returning home Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. James Cundall and children of Bellevue were here over Thanksgiving as guests at the home of his bro ther, Grover Cundall Sr. and family. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Marler and family had to enjoy the tra ditional dinner, Mrs. Esther Marler, mother of Mr. Marler, A2 Phil Lawrence of Offutt Field. Joining them in the eve ning were their son, Larry and Miss Dorothy Faris. Mrs. Nellie Shea was a guest Thanksgiving at the home of her sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Long at Pa cific Junction. Otto Schlieske, long time em ployee of the BREX shops is re ported as showing much pro gress at the St Josesph hospital in Omaha, where he has been a patient for the past two weeks. He is suffering from a blood ail ment and while able to be around is hospitalized while re ceiving shots. Mrs. Fern Hendricks of Oma ha was a visitor here Thursday as dinner guest at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Vern Hendricks and Marilyn. Thanksgiving guests at the home of Mrs. Anna Stoll were Mr. and Mrs. Francis Stoll and son, George of Omaha. Sunday visitors at the Stoll home were Mr. and Mrs. George Erhart and family of Springfield. Thanksgiving dinner guests at the Dale Philpot home were, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Philpot. Mrs. Blanche Snell, Mr. and Mrs. Grant Deterding; Mr. and Mrs. John J. Koch, Jack and Janet, and Vera Wormley of Omaha. TOUCH Plattsmouth friends of Henry Dooley, many years a resident of this community, will regret to learn that he Is quite gravely 111 at Palmer, Neb., where he is making his home with his son Rev; Carl Dooley and family. Mr. Dooley is now eighty-five years of age and has been in failing health for several years. The home of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Minniear in this city was scene of a very pleasant family gathering on Thursday, Thanks giving day. Attending were Mr and Mrs. Harley Minniear anof children of Central City. Neb., Mr. and Mrs. Harley Meisinger and children of Omaha and Mr. end Mrs. John Stark of Law rence, Kan. Mr. and Mrs. Joy Haswell and family entertained Thanksgiving evening at dinner. Their guests were Mr. and Mrs. Lester Gan semer, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Gansemer, Mrs. Anna Gans emer, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Bruns and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Payton and family. After dinner they spent the evening playing cards. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Ganse mer were hosts at dinner Thanksgiving day to Mr. and Mrs. John Speck and family, Mrs. Anna Gansemer, Mr. and Mrs. Randall Switzer and Nan cy, Mr. and Mrs. Dugan Gregg and family of Nehawka. Thanksgiving Day guests of Mr. ; and Mrs. Ernest King in Thurman la., were Mr. and Mrs. James Allbee and daughter Joyce and Earl and Delbert All bee, all of Englewood. Guests ' over Thanksgiving of Mr and Mrs. Leonard Johns and daughter, Sherl Lyn were Mr. Johns' parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Johns, Jr., and the host's brother, Mr. and Mrs. Emil Johns and sons, all of Ord, Nebr. Mr. and Mrs. Chet Wiles and son, Alan, a college student at Huron, S. D. were hosts at a Thanksgiving buffet supper.
