Jicha, 19, son of Mrs. Dorothea Jicha, Elmwood, Neb., is scheduled to participate with the 4th Infan try Division's 124th Signal Bat talion in Exercise Dragon Head at Fort Bragg, N. C, Oct. 26 Nov. 9. Specialist Jicha and oth er battalion personnel will be flown to the North Carolina fort from their permanent loca tion at Fort Lewis, Wash. The 4th Infantry Division, a major Strategic Army Corps STRAC) unit, constantly main tains an immediate readiness force for airborne deployment to any area in the world. The exercise will mark the first time that STRAC forces have been operated as an inte grated force with units deploy ed in a realistic nuclear com bat area. Jicha entered the Army in May, 1958, completed basic training at Fort Carson, Colo., and is regularly assigned as a photographer in the battalion's Headquarters Company at Fort Lewis, Wash.
