BE IT ORDAINED, by the Mayor and City Council of the City of Plattsmouth, Nebraska. SECTION 1 CLASSIFICATION That all persons, firms or cor porations supplying natural gas service to the City of Platts mouth, Nebraska, and the in habitants thereof, shall provide two classes of service to its customers as hereinafter speci fied and defined: 1. Firm Gas Service Firm gas service is de fined as gas service that is supplied on a noninterrup tible basis. Firm gas service shall be made available to all domestic and commercial customers whose maximum requirements are less than 1,000 cubic feet per hour. 2. Interruptlble Gas Service Interruptible gas service is defined as gas service that is supplied on an inter ruptible basis. It shall be subject to curtailment or interruption on demand of the gas service company when necessary to protect the service of its firm gas customers. SECTION II -MAXIMUM RATES That no person, firm or cor poration supplying natural gas to the City of Plattsmouth, Ne braska, and the inhabitants thereof, shall effective with meter reading periods beginning on and after December 27, 1959 charge more for such natural gas service than the following maximum rates: 1. Firm Gas Service Rate Availability - This rate is available only to domestic and commercial customers whose maximum require ments for natural gas are less than 1,000 cubic feet per hour. The gas service com pany shall not be required to serve any customer at the following rate whose re quirements amount to 1,000 cubic feet or more per hour. RATE 1st ... 600CF-less$1.50PerMo. Interruptible Gas Service Rate Avaliablity - This rate is available only on a contract basis to commercial or in dustrial customers whose re quirements for natural gas amount to 1,000 cubic feet or more per hour, and who install and maintain suffi cient stand-by equipment and standby fuel to take care of customer's entire re quirement during periods of curtailment of the use of natural gas by the gas ser vice company in order to protect the service of its firm gas users. Rate - The rate interruptible gas service shall be such rate as may be mutually agreed upon between the Plallsmoulh Journal 241 PHONE DON WARGA. customer and the gas ser vice company, but shall not be higher than the firm gas service rate set out above. SECTION III -GAS COST ADJUSTMENT 1. Northern's Docket G-12153 (Rate Case No. 6) As the result of an applica tion filed and now pending with the Federal Power Commission (Commission), Docket G-12153 (Rate Case No. 6, Northern Natural Gas Company tNorth erni, wholesale supplier of na tural gas, was permitted to in crease its wholesale gas price to Central Electric & Gas Company (Central), the distri butor of natural gas, on August 27, 1957. Such increased price is being collected by Northern under refunding bond pending final determination by the Com mission of the reasonableness of such increase. If the Com mission orders Northern to re fund to Central any monies col lected under such refunding bond as a result of Docket G 12153 (Rate Case No. 6), Cen tral agrees to make a "cost of gas" credit refund to its firm gas customers. Such refund shall be made to such firm gas custo mers within a reasonable time after receipt of Northern's re fund. 2. Northern's Docket G-15335 (Rate Case No. 7) As the result of a further ap plication filed and now pend ing with the Federal Power Com missioner (Commisioiu, Docket G-15335 (Rate Case No. 7), Northern Natural Gas Company (Northern!, wholesale supplier of natural gas was permitted to increase its wholesale gas price to Central Electric & uas Com pany (Central), the distributor of natural gas, on November 27, 1958. Such increased price is be ing collected by Northern under refunding bond pending final determination by the Commis sion of the reasonableness of such increase. If the Commission orders Northern to refund to Central any monies collected under such refunding bond as a result of Docket G-15335 (Rate Case No. 7). Such refund shall be made to Central's customers within a reasonable time after receipt of Northern's refund. 3. Northern's Docket G-19040 (Rate Case No. 8) As the result of an applica tion filed and now pending with the Federal Power Commission (Commission i Docket G-19040 (Rate Case No. 8j, Northern Na tural Gas Company (Northern), wholesale supplier of natural gas, will be permitted to in crease its wholesale gas price to Central Electric & Gas Company (Central), the distributor of na tural gas, on December 27, 1959. Cowpenthwait Of Manley Fatally Injured Near Gretna Kenneth Cowpenthwait, 17, of Manley, was killed in an auto accident at Gretna Monday when the car in which he and three other youths were riding went out of control on a street in Gretna, sideswlped a parked pickup and hit a tree. The other three youths were, injured in the accident but not fatally. He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Cowpenthwait, Sr., the father being engaged in work at " the Louisville Ash Grove plant. In addition to the par ents, other survivors are: a sis ter, Mrs. Eldon Kammerer of Weeping Water and a brother, Dan Allen at home. Funeral services were held to day at 2 p.m. at the Methodist church in Weeping Water. The Hobson funeral home of Weeping Water in chargeSSf arrangements. Former Weeping Water Marshal Dies Tuesday Funeral services will be held at the Hobson Funeral Home at Weeping Water for Irvin Rook stool who passed away Tuesday at an Omaha hospital. He had been ill for the past two months. He was born at Mitchell, S. D. October 8, 1882. He married Mar tha Tyson at Nebraska City, March 8, 1904. The Rookstools later moved to Canada where they lived until they returned to Nebraska City in 1927. Shortly afterward the ymoved to Weep ing Water where Mr. Rookstool served as the city marshal for some fifteen years. Surviving are Mrs. Rookstool, two daughters. Mrs. Thelma Rich, Denver; Mrs. Leta Wil coxen, Weeping Water. Other rel atives include two sisters, five brothers, two grandaughters and four great grandchildren. Death of Mrs. William Long Mrs. William. Long, 88, long time resident of the Elmwood community, died Wednesday evening at the home of a daugh ter, Mrs. William Christopher son, 2234 North 56 street, Lin coln. Mrs. Long was mother of Mer le Long of this city. Funeral services will be Sat urday at 10 a.m. at the Roper and Sons Mortuary 13th and N streets at Lincoln. Burial will be at the Elmwood cemetery. She is the firm's bookkeeper and was assisting her daughter-law, Mrs. .Bill Nelson, in that capacity. Mr. and Mrs. Swatek were looking forward to visiting their daughter. Wilma Gilloueh ly and family of Chicago, but the trip has been postponed since the accident.
