Cook has return ed from a recent visit with her children and their families on the west coast. At Spokane, Wash., she was a Riiest of her son, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Cook and three children, and visited In Seattle, Wash., her former home and was a guest of several friends. At Santa Barbara, Calif., she visited Mr. and Mrs. Robert J. Lawrence and in Encltas with Mr. and M.s. John Brown and three children. Mrs. Laurence and Mrs. Brown are her daugh ters. PATRICK'S HALL MANLEY, NEBR. 2L Liberty Chapter Of Omaha Pays Visit Here Tuesday afternoon Liberty Chapter 273 Kensington, Order of the Eastern Star, of Omaha paid a visit to the Nebraska Home. The ladies arrived in a char tered bus at 2 o'clock to visit this beautiful and well arranged home for the aged members of the Masons and Eastern Star and meeting the residents of the Home. Business session of the ken sington was held In the spacious and wonderfully arranged cha pel of the Home. Mrs. Walter Cleghorn of Omaha, presided at the session, following this the ladies enjoyed a tour of the building with Mr. and Mrs. V. F. Evers serving as guides through the spacious structure. The visitors enjoyed a social hour with refreshments of ice cream and cake served in the dining room of the Home Members of the visiting party brought with them most attrac tive jewelry to be placed in the "store" of the building. Couple To Observe 25th Anniversary Mr. and Mrs. Glen Terryberry will observe their silver wed ding anniversary at the Lion's Community Building, Platts mouth, Sept. 18 at 7:30 p.m. Friends are invited to attend the open house celebration, and extend best wishes to the couple. Mr. and Mrs. Terryberry are farmers west of Plattsmouth. They have two children, Rollin and Elaine. The family is active in church work, social functions, 4-H work and Saddle Club. The day was spent visiting and a delicious picnic dinner was enjoyed by all. Billy received many gifts Union Auxiliary Has Guest Day UNION The American Le gion Auxiliary met Tuesday afternoon at the Legion Hall, for their regular meeting and Annual Guest Day and Invita tion. Mrs. -Charles Attebery was in charge of the initiation there are four new members and two were initiated, Mrs. Keith Hos tetter and Mrs. Evan Hickey. Mrs. Harry Gobleman and Mrs. Verl Ackley, Music chair men were in charge of the Mu sical Program. E & R Circle 3 Meeting, Luncheon Circle Three of the St. Paul's Evangelical Reformed Church met in the church parlors at r:30 for a luncheon served by Mrs. Carl Kreager and Mrs. Ray mond Harold as hostesses. In the absence of Mrs. P. A. Meisinger, Miss Amelia Mar tins gave devotionals assisted by Mrs. Alvin Meisinger and Mrs. Elmer Haffke. Mrs. Fred Lugsch read the scripture. There were 18 members and four visitors present. The door prize was drawn by Reverend Seybold. Bingo was played with several winning prizes.
