, . . . ' , - V. - ' V I a EDITORIALS Marriage and Motor Bikes Over in Kasinirwold a lass named I'aulinc Dunhill, who is described as .seventeen and pretty, recently uttered .some rather interesting: words. It all start ed a few weeks ago. I'aulinc left Kasinjfwold with her fiance, Ken Robinson, a farmer, and was du" to be married. It seems that, however, before the actual marriage, Pauline took a shine to the best man, David Lawn, and so she handed Ken the brush at the last minute, leaving a note behind, saying she had run off with Dave, and that he should remem ber that he had always said that her hap piness came first. Another switch was in the books, though, and Pauline found that David ran out of money before marriage - time. This was too much for Pauline, who had jilted a farmer (apparently with money) and so Pauline decided to go back to Mother. The latest quote from Pauline was, "I don't want to marry ether of them. It was their motorbikes that really attracted me." While this is something of a compli ment for the motorbikes of the two gentle men involved, it does not seem to reflect much credit on their personal qualifica tions, for they obviously rate second to the motorbike. All of which proves, once again, that anything can happen in love and war which are, after all, very sim ilar in many respects. Down Memory Lane jr YEARS ACO -w The local law enforcing officials have boon searching for clues that might reveal the death journey of Boyd Hubler, 28 war old river worker. Possibilities that the slaying might have occurred anywhere from Omaha to Union where he lived for two years have made the task more dif ficult. The weapon, that of a part of a dismantled shot gun, leads to the belief that it was prepared in use as a slugging weapon or a murder that it was used to complete The classes of the Platts mouth high school have held their elect ion of officers.
