The Roy Chriswissers were sup per guests of the Bud Chriswis sers Tuesday at Plattsmouth. Mr. and Mrs. Buck Jones of Auburn have moved to a farm northwest of Nehawka. Mr .and Mrs. John Chieppa, Pamela and Frank of Chicago were guests the past week of Mr. and Mrs. Merritt Pollard Sr., and other relatives. Sunday evening they were guests at a steak fry at the Harold Pollard home. Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm Pollard and Marilyn. Wednesday Mr. and Mrs. Chieppa had as their din ner guests at Steinhart Park at Nebraska City Mr. and Mrs. Merritt Pollard, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Pollard. Mr. Chieppa left for home Friday and Mrs. Chieppa and the children left Tuesday evening. Sunday noon the Harold Pollard family were dinner guests with the Chieppas at the Merritt Pollards and all were Sunday supper guests at the Harold Pollard home. Mrs. Chieppa and children called at the-Wm. Jorgenson, Tillie Swar tz, John Tanner and Jim Pol lard homes. A new traveling library has arrived and there are many ex cellent books for the adults and especially the children. Mr. and Mrs. Searle Davis, Plattsmouth, hate donated the book, "Intro duction to Nature" by John Kiernan to the Nehawka lib rary in memory of Mrs. Marion Tucker. Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Arbuthnot of Papillion were guests Friday afternoon of the Fred Hansens. Thursday Mr. and Mrs. Ryal Brazee of Shelby, Nebr., their daughter, Mrs. Don Funkhowser and daughter, Donette of Palm dale, Calif., Mr. Waite and Mrs. F. O. Stalnacker, Shelby were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hansen and family. Mary Ann and Thomas Neu kirch were overnight guests of the Emil Lutz family. Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Emil Lutz and family took the children home and were dinner guests of the Neukirchs at Sterling. Mr. and Mrs. Mervin Alvis and Donita were weekend guests of the Lutz family and also were din ner guests of the Neukirchs, Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Arm strong, Odell, Nebr., were over night guests Saturday' of Mr. and Mrs. Roland Hogue and family. Mr. and Mrs. Sheldon Mitchell and family were euests Sundav I of Miss Laverna Inaw'prson nf Omaha. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Warden and sons, Miss Bessie Murdoch, Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Murdoch and children attended the Murdoch family reunion at Pioneer Park in Lincoln Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Diedrick son, Susie, Sara and Sharon of Ravenna, Nebr., were Tuesday guests of the Cecil Murdochs. Joining them for a picnic sup per were Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Thorne and children, Mrs. Mau de Philpot, Guy Murdoch. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Orndorff, Nebras ka City called Sunday evening at the Murdoch home. Mrs. L. B. Trombla and dau ghter, Lynda, Wichita, Kans., left Monday morning for their home after spending several days with her mother, Mrs. Ona Kunkel. Mrs. Kunkel was a din ner guest Wednesday evening of Dr. and Mrs. L. N. Kunkel of Weeping Water. Other guests were Mr. and' Mrs. Ermond Moore, Diane, Douglas and Ter ence of Darlington, Md., who were guests for several days of Dr. and Mrs. Kunkel and visited other relatives near Weeping Water. Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Kime visited Alvin McReynolds at Clarkson hospital in Omaha Sunday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Han sen returned Sunday from Los Angeles, Calif., where they vis ited Mrs. Hansen's brother and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Chris wisser. Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Kuntz of York accompanied them and they remained to visit their son, Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Kuntz and family of Santa Mon ica. Mr. and Mrs. Hal Hansen and Stevie returned Sunday from Bartlesville, Okla., where they were the guests of Mrs. Hansen's brother, Mr. and Mrs. Louie Kuntz and family for several days. The Nehawka Grain company has completed a new storage building erected by the R & C steel company of Lincoln. The, capacity is 140,000 bushels and within ten days it will be filled with grain. The total storage of the company is now 380,000 bu shels. Mr. Ed Stanley is the manager. Dr. and Mrs. R. R. Andersen and Gary returned Friday from a 16 day trip to Wyoming and South Dakota. At Dome Lake, Wyoming they visited Mrs. Ro bert Wunderlich and children. They were guests of Mrs. An derson's brothers, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Loula, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Loula of Martin, S. Dakota and at Winner they visited her brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Emil Sfeinke Nehawka 4-H First Aid Club Miss Esther Barkhurst R. N. gave a talk of first aid to mem bers of the Nehawka First Aid club Monday afternoon at the church. She demonstrated arti ficial respiration, bandages and dressings and pressure points and how to control bleeding. Miss Evelyn Wolph, leader, was hostess. Lois Whlttington, news reporter. Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Edmonds and Danny, Mrs. Gladys Ackley and children went to Ft. Cal houn Sunday to visit the Gilbert Edmonds Jr., family. Monday they took the four children of Gilbert Edmonds Jr., with them to Elmore, Minn., where they were guests for -four days of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Dreiman and fam ily. They returned Thursday and met Mr. and Mrs. Ed Hron of Council Bluffs at Ft. Calhoun and all observed the birthday of Gilbert Edmonds Jr. Marvin Edmonds and Alan Crossman have gone to Califor nia. Enroute they visited Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Edmison and family at Stillwater, Okla. They were guests of Marvin's aunt, Mrs. Inez Hessner at Rialto, Calif., then went to San Fran cisco and planned to visit rela tives at Delta, Colo. Roger Dodson, who has been employed in Lincoln for the summer will spend three weeks at home with his parents before entering the University of Ne braska. Mrs. Fred Beaty's guests Fri day for supper were Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Hunzeker and family of Anapolis, Md. Wednesday callers were Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Hanks, Lincoln; Mrs. Dorothy Smith and Mike and Steve of Redwood, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Gooden and four children of Stratton, Colo., were guests of Mrs. Gooden's mother, Mrs. Visa Brown for the past week. Jimmy, Tara Louise, Sally and Mickey Cole of Shelton, Nebr., have been guests of their uncle and' aunt, Mr. and Mrs. John Bucholz the past two weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Bucholz took them home from Lincoln for the weekend. Donna Belle and George Ed- misten, Mrs. Mabel Good and Lenore, Nebraska City; were dinner guests Thursday evening at the Louis Eaton home to ob serve the birthday of Mrs. Eat on. Evening callers were Mrs. Riley Eaton, Mr. and Mrs. Mar vin Hoback and Mike, Platts mouth; Mrs. Pearl Lawson, Ar nold Lawson, Bloomfield; Mr. and Mrs. Ardell- Lawson, Sioux City and Narion Eaton went home with Donnabelle Edmisten and remained until Saturday when they went to the home of their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Cogdill of Union to visit until Tuesday. Dinner guests Friday at the Louis Eaton home were Mr. and Mrs. Artie Cogdill of Minlow, Kans., and Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Cogdill. Thelma Ketelhut and Mary Lindsey spent the past week with their cousins, Linda aid Karen Engelkemeier of Murray and attended the confirmation of Linda at Christ Lutheran church Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Lindsey and David attended a family picnic at the Ted Brannon home near Union. A family picnic of the John son families was held Sunday at the Albert Johnson farm home. David and Jim Johnson, sons of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Johnson, accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Law rence Oregg and Larry to the Black Hills Wednesday. Mrs. Bob Wunderlich and children, Judy Attebery and Sandra Waller returned home Tuesday evening from a nine weeks stay at the Wunderlich cabin at Dome Lake, Wyo. Dur ing their stay they had as guests Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Gordon Jr., and children of Omaha, Dr. and Mrs. R. R Andersen and Gary of Nehawka Mr. and Mrs. Henning John Son, Mr. and Mrs. Dick John son and family were all day guests Thursday of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Martin of Crab Orchard. Mr. and Mrs. Dewey and fam ily, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Ruby and son of Union attended the rodeo at Sidney, Iowa Sunday. Joyce Fornoff is spending this week with Mr. and Mrs. Merle Iske and family at Ft. Crook. Mrs. Cecil Garrett underwent major surgery at St. Marys hos pital in Nebraska City, Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Hansen returned recently from a trip to Colorado. They visited friends at Ft. Collins and Broomfield and went to Estes Park and Pikes Peak. A miscellaneous shower at the home of Mrs. Roland Hogue Sat urday afternoon complimented Miss Bonnie Allgayer of Avoca. There were forty guests. Co ihostesses were Mrs. Bernard Armstrong of Odell;, Mrs. Robert Ackley, Weeping Water and Mrs. Dayle Johnson of Lincoln. Mr. and Mrs. Lester Shrader, Mrs. Ray Ehlers and Mrs. Ray Mayfield left early Saturday morning for Davenport, Iowa, where they are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. F. K. Moore. Sunday they will attend the silver wed ding anniversary of the Moores at the home of an aunt at Han nibal, Mo. Mrs. Moore is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Shra der. Mrs. Louie Allgayer and child ren and Gary Mayfield went to Garland Thursday to spend the day with the Ray Mayfields Alvin McReynolds is at Clark son hospital in Omaha for a check up. Nancy Bucholz, daughter of Mr and Mrs. John Bucholz will be a senior at Campion Academy at Lpveland, Colo. Mrs. Gladys Ackley will move to Peru Saturday with her three children. She plans to enter Peru State and get her degree in education. She will be a first year student. Mrs. Ackley has had some credits at Peru and taught in rural schools. Mrs. Paul Poppe, Kansas City, Kans., spent several days the past week with her mother, Mrs. Gertrude Carper and her sis ter, Mrs. Homer Corasman and children. Susie Poppe came Wednesday from Kansas City and will stay until Saturday. Mrs. Corasman, twin daughters and son Alan, will move to Oma ha next week. They have been staying with Mrs. Carper since June until they could find a home in Omaha where Mr. Cor asman was transferred from California. Mrs. Christina Chappell was a guest for several days the past week of Mr. and Mrs. Louie Carsten of Avoca. Earl Ramsy, son-in-law of Mr. and Mrs. James Chappell is at Doctors hospital in Omaha following a heart attack. Mr. and Mrs. Chappell visited him Sunday. Harvey Chappell, their grandson is staying with the Chappells during his father's hospitalization. Mr. and Mrs. George Dickman were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Harden of Omaha at a fish fry at Jonathan Lodge in Omaha Saturday. Madeline DeCabooter, Omaha, is a guest this week of Dianne Dietl. Mrs. Floyd Lawson and Arnold, Bloomfield; Mr. and Mrs. Ardell Lawson, Sioux City; Mrs. Mar vin Hoback, Plattsmouth were dinner guests Saturday of Mrs. John Eaton. Mrs. George Ken nedy and Mrs. John Dale., Oma ha were her overnight guests Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Merle Meyer and children returned home early Wednesday from a two week trip to California. They visited the Knotts Berry Farm, Disney land and attended a. Lawrence Welk TV show. They were guests of Merle's brother, Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Meyer and family at Torrence and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Meyer and family at Lomita. They also visited an aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Gusta fson and their daughter, Doro thy and family at San Diego. Mrs. Wilmer Harshman at tended a miscellaneous shower Sunday at St. Joseph hall near Paul honoring Miss Leta Heng. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Roberts and family, Mr. and Mrs. Gene Adkins and Gail were dinner guests Sunday of the John Ro berts of Avoca. Mrs. Alma Berner of Weep ing Water, Mrs. Harvey Bailer and Dickie spent Tuesday and Wednesday with Mr. and Mrs. Carl Linhardt and family of Powersville, Mo. Mrs. Howard Heesch and Tamyra Lu were guests of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Bane of Piano, la., the first of the week and they returned home with Mrs. Bailer enroute home from Powersville, Mo. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Berner and family of Otoe were supper guests Friday of the Harvey Bai lers to mark the fourth birthday of Dickie Bailer. Beverly Barkhurst was a guest the past week of the Henry Thieles of Plattsmouth. Mr. and Mrs. John Barkhurst and fam ily .attended a picnic Sunday at the Boy Scout camp at Hum boldt of Scout commissioners. Wednes day they played Weeping Water and the Pee Wees lost, the Mid gets won. Those who coached the boys all summer were Bob Akins, Gus Neumeister, Gail and Marion Hoback.
