After a military service, a reception was held at the Officers Club. Mrs. Jones is a granddaughter cf the late Chas. Jackman. Rev. Everett Jackman performed the service and Rev. Herb Jackman was soloist. They are Mrs. Jon es's uncles. Mr. and Mrs. Willis Rhodes and family of Kearney visited over the weekend at the Elmsr Johnson home. Susan Gerdes, daughter of Melvin Gerdes of Cedar Creek entered the hospital in Omaha Monday and underwent surgery. He returned home Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. John Ashbach er and family of Omaha spent Sunday with Mrs. H. E. Hill. Paul and Mary Wagoner are staying this week with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Les ter Wagoner while their folks are on vacation. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Payne and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. John Ritter were Sunday after noon visitors at the Tom Ten nant home. Evening callers were Mrs. Earl Hickman and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Ingram. Mr. and Mrs. Eli Gaudreault and Mrs. Malvin Wiles went to Gothenberg Friday to attend the funeral of Mr. Gaudreault's nephew, Marcus Del Gaudreault, 15. The young man and his par. ents had been vacationing in Id aho during the recent earth -quakes. He was, knocked 65 feet to the floor of a canyon by a falling boulder. He was rescu ed and taken to a hospital in Twin Falls, Idaho, where he died two days later. Mrs. Wiles spent Friday nite with Mr.and Mrs. Marcus Gau dreault at Curtis and Mr. and Mrs. Gaudreault were guests of his brother, Mr. and Airs. Gus Gaudreault at Farnam.
