Miss Beth Randell of Fort Scott, Kan., was a houseguest of the Lancasters in Murray and also attended the wedding. The bride's mother chose for her daughter's wedding a blue linen embroidery princess style dress with matching accessories and the bridegroom's mother was attired in shrimp colored wool jersey with matching hat. Each mother wore a corsage of white roses. Also attending the wedding were the bride's grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Lancaster and Mr. and Mrs. Marion Wor than, all of Murray, and the bridegroom's grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Polley of Platts mouth. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Lan caster, parents of the bride, en tertained at a six o'clock pre nuptial dinner Friday evening at their home in Murray. Thirty-five guests attended. After rehearsal, a bachelor party was held at the Roger Hi Id home, honoring the bride groom; and a bride's party was held in Omaha. Bridal Parties For Miss. Brown Miss Patricia Brown was hon ored at a bridal linen party in Lincoln at the home of Mrs. Harold Demaree with Miss Mar garet Marshall assisting. , The party was a bridge lun cheon affair and was attended by sorority sisters of the hon oree. Attending from here were Mrs. Marvin Brown, mother of the briderto-be, and Mrs. Jack Brookhouser, a sister. Mrs. William Becker and Mrs. Jon Schuetz of this city were hostesses at the Schuetz home honoring Miss Brown with a personal shower. Guests played bridal party games and later dainty refresh ments were served. Also entertaining for Miss Brown was the prospective bride-groom's mother, Mrs. Hen ry Bosking and daughter Bette. The bride, given in marriage by her father, chose for her wed ding a gown of embroidered tul le over satin in traditional all white. A sabrina neckline and briefly draped sleeves contour ed the taut basque bodice. A voluminous skirt showed a red ingote influence over ruffled tulle which brushed the floor in the back. A bonnet of embroid ered tulle held the elbow length veil of imported bridal illusion. A swirl of white roses and green ery tied in white was the bride's bouquet. Miss Carolyn Hile of Russell, Iowa, cousin of the bride, was maid of honor and Mrs. Ted Wil son of Weeping Water was mat ron of honor. The bridegroom's attendants were Robert Eddy, Humboldt, best man; Robert Marquardt. Avoca, groomsman; Irvin Fink haus, Omaha, and Chester Sy res of Hutchinson, Kan., ushers. A reception was held at the home of the bride's parents fol lowing the ceremony. The couple will live at 907 So 9th St., Plattsmouth. D. Fitzpatrick at Louisville. The members all brought cov ered dishes for a picnic dinner. Mrs. Fitzpatrick, Mrs. Richard! Streeter and Mrs. Albert Inman furnished the fried chicken. After the picnic the members moved into the home of Mrs. Fitzpatrick for the meeting. Announcement was made that the Department Scrapbook pre pared by Alpha Muncie had won 1st place at National; the Ne braska History book won 1st place and Mrs. Josephine Bren non, departmental membership chairman had won 1st place in the North West Division in ob taining the most new members. She has words of advice for all moth ers, students and the general public. "We of the American Legion Auxiliary want safety stressed to the utmost. We urge moth ers to caution students at all traffic crossings and for the first week at least to give much as: sistance at all neighborhood school crossings," she said. Here are some of her sug gestions for bicycle riders: 1. Obey all traffic signs and regulations. 2. Keep to the right side of the road. 3. Ride single file at a safe distance behind the vehicle a head. 4. Stop to see that sidewalks and streets are clear before rid ing out of alleys or driveways or from behind parked cars. 5. Dismount and walk bike a cross heavily traveled streets. 6. Signal your intention to turn. 7. Carry parcels or books in luggage carrier. 8. Never ride two oh a bike. 9: Never hitch onto other ve hicles. 10. Do not stunt on streets and highways. 11. Have a white light on at night in front of bike and wear light colored clothing. 12. Keep your bike in good condition. 13. Park your bike in a safe and proper place, standing upright. Riverview Club At Toman Home Riverview Club met for their August meeting at the home of Mrs. J. S. Toman. Meeting open ed with the Lords Prayer ancl a song. A discussion was held on the annual picnic in July which was enjoyed by many. Mrs. Alta Halter, Mrs. Greeley Beil, Mrs. Ralph Gibson, Mrs. Er nest Bintner, Mary and Donna Morris were visiters. Movies on safety were shown as the after noon entertainment. Mrs.. H. L. While there they were guests at the wedding, Aug. 23 of Miss Dian Rohnert and Mr. Gene Mc Connell. Miss Rohnert is the daughter of Sheriff and Mrs. John Roh nert of Lexington. DeFreece-Turner Wedding Rites At Burr Church NEHAWKA (Special) Ruth Eileen DeFreece, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ben DeFreece of Burr and Mr, Alvin Turner of Omaha, son of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Turner of Nehawk'a, were married Aug. 23. The wedding ceremony took place at 7:30 at the Methodist Church in Burr with 150 guests attending. Baskets of gladioli decorated the church. ' Mrs. James Attebery of Un ion and Mrs. James DeFreece of Burr provided the wedding music. Sandra Turner and Kar en Moss lighted the tapers. The bride, given in marriage by her father, was attired in a floor length gown of silk trim med with beads. She wore a waist length veil and carried pink and white carnations. Mrs. Harold Zech of Lincoln was matron of honor. Susie D" Freece and Betty DeFreece were bridesmaids. All atten dants are sisters of the bride. Cheryl Attebery was flower girl and Steven Zech was ring bearer. Best man was Ned Snyder of Nehawka. Duane Gansemer and Lester Turner ushered. Following the reception in the church parlors, the couple left on a wedding trip to Colorado. The bride graduated from the Burr Schools, attended Paru State Teachers College and will teach near Unadilla'.
