Mrs. E. Thomas Stacey was a bridge and dinner guest of Mrs. Jess Adkins in Omaha. Mrs. Clayton Cooper attended the Sack family reunion in Lin coln. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Van Horn and family attended the Sudduth family reunion in Platts niouth City Park. Clayton Cooper and children were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Cooper and Mr. and Mrs Norman Urwln called in the eve ning. Mrs. Ed Bumeard of Platts mouth entertained a a pink and blue shower for Mrs. Rolland Cooper of Omaha. Mrs. Stuart Meisinger, Aimee and Ellyn of Plattsmouth were guests of Mrs. HaroLd Meising er and family. Marcla accom panied them home for a visit. The Cass County Pistons 4-H Club met at the home of Steve and Jim Meisinger with all the boys but one present. A number of men of the Con gregational Church worked on the parsonage lawn, sodding it. The Congregational Church parsonage was dedicated last week. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Laur itzen and family of Neleigh were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Rasmus Lauritzen Sr. and their houseguests, Lloyd and Mark Lauritzen of Corpus Christi, Tex. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Richards of Lincoln visited Mrs. E. E. Moore. Mrs. Oliver Mayfield enter tained at a coffee for some of her high school classmates, Lu cille Wendt of Murdock. Mrs. David Baxter and Mrs. Willard Wipf. Mrs. Lewis Baker was al so a guest. Mrs. Willard Wipf entertain ed at a surprise birthday party in honor of her twins, Carol and Terry, on their 8th birthday. Twenty-five guests were present. Mrs. Frank Pace accompan ied Mrs. Elwin Issac and boys of Manley and Mrs. Joe Shee- han and Margie to Omaha for picnic dinner with Mrs. W. L Anderson and family. They al so called on Mrs. Troy Jewell in Immanuel HosDital. Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Cooper were dinner and supper guests on Friday and Saturday of Mr. and Mrs. Rolland Cooper of Qm SI whirlpool aha. They helped with the paint ing. Mrs. Clayton Cooper and chil dren were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Urwln. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Meising er and family were Saturday evening supper guests of Mrs. Emma Kaffenberger of Platts mouth. Thev were Sunday after noon guests of Mrs. Henry Mei singer of Plattsmouth. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Steinkamp and Mrs. Dallas Durham and family of Chapel Hill, N.C., were Sunday afternoon and lunch guests of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Gardner and family at Lincoln. James Stacey spent a weekend at the home of Patty Rutt in Hastings. Charles Stacey spent a week end on a Phi Kappa Psi rush party in North Platte. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Irons were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Don Hoffman and boys at Elmwood. They had picnic dinner Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Irons at Elmwood. Rol land and James Hoffman accom panied them home for a few days visit. Paula and Steve Freeman spent a couple days with Mr. and Mrs. Harold Bruns and fam ily. They were also to visit with Mr. and Mrs. Clarence King and family while their mother was a patient at the Bruan Hos pital In Lincoln. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Cook and family of Omaha and Mrs. Ella Cook enjoyed a 10-day vacation trip to Colorado. They visited Ralph Cook and family at North Platte, Mr. and Mrs. Forrest Allen at Boulder, Colo., and Mrs. Dorothy Cook and familv at Denver. They returned home on Thursday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Cook and children were Thurs day overnight and Friday morn ing guests of Mrs. Cook. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Freeman of Avoca, Mrs. Harold Bruns and Mrs. Clarenr- Ki nor visit ed Mrs. Raymond Freeman in the hospital in Lincoln. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Betts, Mr. and Mrs. Everett Haith, Mrs. Don Horner and Merline Betts of Nebraska City and Willard Betts of Julian were dinner gu ests of Mr. and Mrs. Lee Strat ton. They attended funeral ser vices for Jack Betts at Hobson Funeral Home. Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Hale and daughter are living in the apart ment of Mr. and Mrs T TJ Starr. Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Cook of Nehawka and Mrs. Addie Wells of Camas, Wash., were guests of Mrs. Adam Cook. Mrs. Cook visited with Mrs. Edna Philpot. Bert Philpot was a morning gu est of Mrs. Cook. Mr. and Mrs. John Schutz and Mrs. Otto Pitz of Plattsmouth were dinner and lunch guests of Mr. and Mrs. George Bat es. The Brownie Girls met Wed nesday morning at the home of Mrs Lewis Baker, assisted by Mrs. Ed Mogensen and Mrs Willard Wipf. The girls learn ed the proper way to set a tab le and are to do so for a week at home. The girls were to meet again at the home of Mrs. Bak er. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Irons vis ited with Mrs. Paul Singleton and Christie in Lincoln. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Meising er and family were Sunday eve ning guests of Mr. and Mrs Victor Stoehr in Plattsmouth. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Baker of Dayton, Ohio, and Mrs. Ves ta Baker of Lincoln spent a week with Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Baker and family and were to visit other friends and relativ es while here. Mrs. John Johnson and Mrs. Roy Tennant entertained the Grace Circle at the Methodist Church. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Althouse and family of Elmwood were evening callers at the LeRoy Haertel home. Ruth Lambert of Honolulu vis ited Mrs. Mable Lambert last week. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond New kirk and daughters of San Di ego, Calif., and Mr. and Mrs. Ray Rouse called on Mrs. Mil dred Comstock. Mr. and Mrs. Louis Clymer of Brady visited from Sunday till Wednesday with Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Clymer. Mrs. Henry Maseman was in Lincoln last week with her grand daughter, Jody Schroeder. Her parents were on vacation. Mr. Louis Stueckrath finished his summer school course and he and Mrs. Stueckrath went to Colorado for several days. The girls, Renee, April and Kim were at Plainview with her par ents. Mrs. Fred Kirkhoff was hos tess at her home at a miscel laneous shower honoring Kay Titterington, Lincoln, Sunday.. Miss Titterington is the brido elect of Dorman Kirkhoff, son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Kirk hoff, Cheney. Other hostesses were Mrs. John Rippe, Mrs. Wm. He spent his entire life in and a round the Avoca Community. After his parents passed a way, he worked at the Ams dell Sheldon and Jerome St. John farms where he made his home. He was a painter. For the last eight years he liv ed at the Christensen Rest Home where he died July 28. Funeral services were held at Out Of Elberta Freestone From Calif.
