Group No. 2 of the Ladies Aid planned and prepared the banquet and their husbands did the serving. , Mrs. James Mills gave the address of welcome. Sondra Backemeyer the response. There was a drill by the small girls and Janet Schewe sang a solo. Corsages and prizes were giv en to the small girl with the most teeth missing, Angela Smith; small girl with the big gest smile; each got a parasol; teenager who gets up the ear liest, Ardythe Odhlerking; mo ther with most daughters, Mar tha Kruse; mother with young est baby, Dorothy Lau; oldest mother, Mrs. Martin Nickel. Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Mills and Judy went to Sutton Tuesday afternoon and attended the an nual Spring Concert under the direction of their son. Frank. Others who attended and had dinner at the Mills home were Mr. and Mrs. Les Christenson and Mr. and Mrs. Bob Christen son of Holsteln. Postamster Verl Brunkow of Murdock, having made his an nual inspection of rural mail boxes in connection with the de partment order to do so, has found many boxes which "de serve commendation and also many which show irregularities in regard to posatl regulations," he said. Many notices were sent both of commendation and also telling of the Irregularities and the postmaster "hopes to have the undivided support of all pa trons in the clean-up and paint- up campaign for this 'yeaf", A neatly painted support and box with the name neatly print ed on its side which faces the carrier as he approaches, is a credit to a farmstead, the post master said. The name may be printed on both sides if desir ed. Brunkow says he hopes the 138 rural mail boxes around Murdock will reflect a real cre dit to the Mail Service.
