Crccnwood Village Election Results GREENWOOD (Special) -The Greenwood Village election Tues day named Kenneth Carpenter, William Green and Louis Wright for two-year terms and Roland Tinnean for a one-year term. Lowell James is a holdover member of the board. Incumbents Again On Nehawka Board NEIIAWKA (Special Nam ed to the school board here were (votes for each listed): Mrs. Ned Nutzman, 81, and Mrs. John Chandler, 71, both incum bents. Also running were Bill Ross, 42, and Elmer Ross, 34. Sharon Ramge At Hospitality Days At The University High school girls from all over Nebraska will visit the College of Agriculture campus at Lin coln on April 14 and 15th to at tend Hospitality Days. Hospitality Days, being held for two days this year for the first time, is designed to give high school girls an opportunity to become familiar with the home economics department of the University of Nebraska. Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Scar lett and son, Joe and Mike, de parted Friday for Ames, Iowa, where Mrs. Scarlett and the boys will spend several days with Mrs. Mabel Rupe, mother of Mrs. Scarlett. Mrs. Rupe has Just returned home from a trip to Europe and also parts of Africa. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Kelly of South Bend were in the city Thursday afternoon to visit witn friends and relatives enroute home from Omaha: Harry Gobelman and daught er Ann of Union were in the city Saturday looking after some business affairs. They report Mrs. Gobelman who has been suffering from Injuries In an auto accident last October is now able to resume her activities to some extent. Mrs. Freda Rhylander is in Rockford, Mich., where she went to be with her brother Rudolph Wallengren who underwent ul cer surgery April 9. Mr. Wallen gren is at the Butterworth Hos pital, Grand Rapids, Mich. He is getting along fine, but will have to remain at the hospital for some time yet. Loris B. Long, local realtor, announced completion of the sale of the Darvyn V. Hoover home to Mr. and Mrs. Ray mond F. Simons. Mr. and Mrs. Hoover and family are moving to South Sioux City, Neb. Visiting at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Louis Amato are Mrs. Norman Matheus and son Way ne from LaPuente, Calif. Accom panying them here was Maude Aitkenhead, mother of Mrs. Am ato. Mrs. Matheus Is a sister of Mrs. Amato. Mr. and Mrs. Don Parish of Madison, S. D. were overnight visitors of Mrs. Glen Vallery en route to Sioux City, la. to visit Mrs. Parishs sister. Myrtle Wood of Wabash was in Plattsmouth today, calling on friends and here and on business. Mrs. Emma Breckenridge, Mrs. Mabel Breckenridge and James of Manley were here Thursday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Akeson. Mrs. Emma Breckenridge celebrated her 90th birthday March 17th, and is an aunt of Mr. Akeson. Mrs. Charles Koke, Jr. entered the Methodist Hospital today where she will undergo major surgery Tuesday. Fred Fischer entered St. Jose ph Hospital Sunday and will un dergo surgery this week. He is in room 270. Glen Wetenkamp was taken by Caldwell Linder Ambulance to the Methodist Hospital in Oma ha Sunday. Mr. Wetenkamp was doing some work at his farm and a tree fell on him. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Egenberger and daughter JoAnn and Mr. and Mrs. Ed E. Egenberger drove to Kansas City, Mo., Sun day where they were guests of Mr. and Mrs. George Rothrock and son. Mr. and Mrs. John Hughes of Albuquerque, N. M., have been visiting relatives around Murray, being called here for funeral services of Mrs. Hugh es's brother, John Royer. They were visiting several days at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Lancaster and were overnight guests of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Bickett Wednesday. Mrs. Les Hutchinson entered the Methodist Hospital Sunday and will undergo observation and possible surgery this week. Mrs. Lowell McQuin entered the Methodist Hospital today and wil undergo surgery Tuesday. William R. Holly of Manawa, la., where here Sunday for a few hours to greet old friends while enroute to Nehawka to visit for the day as guest of Tom and George Troop. Mr. Holly is looking forward to a very pleas ant summer in the activities at Lake Manawa. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Shilhanek and daughter returned home Sunday after visiting a week with their parents in Montour and Tama, Iowa. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Cudda back of McCool were dinner gu ests Tuesday of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Lancaster. Mrs. Cudda back is a sister of Mrs. Lancas ter and attended funeral servic es of their brother, John Roy er of Corning, Calif. The fun eral was held at Caldwell-Lin-der Funeral Home. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Lan caster entertained Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey Zech and three chil dren of Sunny ville, Calif., Mon day. Mr. and Mrs. Zech visited Mr. Zech's aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Lancaster Mon day and Wednesday. Among the patients admitted to St. Mary's Hospital In Neb raska City at the weekend were Carl Cross, Union; Robert At tebery, Nehawka; Richard Wor than, son of Bert Worthan, Murray, Mrs! Christy Hickey, manager of the Coronado apartment house, was taken to the St. Jose ph hospital Sunday morning by the Sattler Ambulance for treatment. Eagle School, Village Election Results EAGLE (Special) Newly e lected members of the School Board here are: Wayne Weyers and Morris Muenchau, 3-year terms; Harry Vollensten, 2-year term; and Frank Frohlich, one year. Village of Eagle trustees re elected were Joe Rudolph and Harry Robertson and newly e lected, O. E. Underwood. Mrs. Ruffncr Called to Phoenix Mrs. E. G. Ruffner returned Saturday morning from Phoenix, Ariz., where she spent three weeks with her sister, Mrs. Peggy Bruce. Mrs. Ruffner was called to Phoenix at the death of her brother-in-law, Lee Bruce. She reports the climate there almost ideal with temperature 80 to 90 in the daytime, flowers in beautiful bloom, and the air fra grant from the citrus blossoms. Injured Lady Is Out of Hospital Mrs. Alice Stapleton of this city was released the past week from an Omaha hospital where she was treated for neck and back injuries. She was Injured in an automobile accident March 31 at 28th and Olive Streets in Bellevue. A car driven by her husband, Paul, and a car driven by Geo rge K. Fox Sr. of Omaha col lided at the street intersection. There was extensive damage to the right side of the Stapleton car and the front of the other car.
