Mrs. Frank Buell Saturday was released from the hospital where she underwent tests. She will recuperate at home. Sunday dinner guests at the Emily Gonzales home were Mr. and Mrs. Jim Mills and Judy of Murdock, Mr. and Mrs. Gail McDonald, Mr. and Mrs. Clark Gonzales, Dudley Leavitt and Sherry Stolz. The 91st birthday of Mrs. Lau ra Sutherland was observed on April 3 by cards, callers and telephone calls. Her daughter, Mrs. Ed Hall spent the day with Phone 5-2167 her and in the evening the grand children called. Although Mrs. Sutherland does not get out much she Is able to stay alone In her own home. It is reported that Mrs. Wil liam Hulfish has not been so well lately but is some better at this writing. They expected her daughter, Grace, Mrs. Gordon Brooks, to come. Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Borne mier attended funeral services Sunday for Fred Meierhenry at Fremont. Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Bratt, Carolyn, Barbara and Larry of Lincoln called on their aunts, Maud and Jessie Creamer last Sunday evening;. Mrs. Syd Moore at the piano and Mrs. Dwight Clem ents at the organ played a duet. Mrs, Eldon Mendenhall gave a missionary talk followed by a book review of The Greatest Faith I Have Ever Known by Fulton Oursler, given by Mrs. E. Horton. The chests made a nice sum which goes for missionary work. Maud and Jessie Creamer en joyed a visit March 28 with their cousins from Glenwood, Iowa, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Har bert and daughter, Mrs. Mam ie Gammon. They also visited the Ralph Creamers. Mrs. Mary Churchill and son Stephen visit ed her parents, the Ralph Cr eamers, over the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Elden Oehler king entertained for Sunday din ner Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Drake, Kevin and Kirby and Mr. and Mrs. TenBroeck of Lincoln who fire moving to Parsons soon. They are Mrs. Drakes parents. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Engles spent the weekend at Denver. Her mother stayed with the chil dren. She is Mrs. Reagen oi Auburn. Mrs. Grace Blessing and Mrs. Alfa Quelhorst of Murdock at tended the Grace Plybon sale in Elmwood Saturday and call ed at Emily Gonzales's home. Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Clem ents, Gregg, Robbie and Rickie drove to Minden Sunday to see Pioneer Village, in observance of Gregg's 10th birthday. Gary Clements accompanied them Mr. and Mrs. Guy Clements arrived home Tuesday from Phoenix where they spent sev eral weeks with their daughter. Dr. Betty Clements. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Sey mour were Thursday afternoon callers at the Frank Buell home. Mrs. Seymour Is a granddau ghter of the Buells. They were on their way to Ft. Dix where Mr. Seymour will embark for Iceland for a year of service in the armed forces. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Hawks and family drove to Brownville Sunday to visit her folks, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Osburn. We hear that Jim Remaley entered the hospital last Fri day for observation. Last Saturday Mrs. Ralph Snavely was taken to the hospit. al seriously ill. At last work, it was not determined what caus ed her trouble. Mr. and Mrs. Alva Reid call ed on Mr. and Mrs. Dick. Under wood and Mr. and Mrs. Silas Cantley Sunday. Mrs. C. W. Guyer drove to Ashland to see her daughter, Mrs. W. E. Scheel who had sur gery on her back. Music News The Elmwood Music Dept. will present its Spring Festival April 10 at 8 p.m. at the Com munity Building. This will in clude numbers from each grade room and the contest numbers from the high school. The high school people are working on their songs for the contest at Wahoo April 17. Mothers' Tea The girls Pep Club held its annual tea in honor of the moth ers of all high school students April 3. The theme was Spring in Bl oom.
