Later in the day, the Isaacs vis ited Mrs. Frank Pace in Weep ing Water and were supper gu ests. Mrs. Frank Koterzina and M's. Walter Stohlmann were .shopping in Lincoln Wednesday of last week. Mrs. Lawrence Erhart was a caller Monday afternoon at the Leo Erhart home. Mrs. Frank Wildrick was a dinner guest Tuesday at the Ralph Wildrick home. Afternoon and evening callers were Mrs. Joe Ilabel and Jeffery, Mrs. El vin Shyrock and sons, Keith Ewaink of Gretna and Larry Tro jan of Ashland. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Heim were Wednesday evening guests at the Claude Heim home and the evening was spent viewing color slides. Monday afternoon and supper guests at the Elwin Isaac home in Manley were Mr. and Mrs. Troy Jewell of Weeping Water. Mrs. H. W. Baughman of Om aha celebrated her 95th birth day Thursday. Open house was held at her home March 15 and because of the storm many well wishers who were unable to at tend called on her Thursday. Mrs. Baughman is the mother of Mrs. Frank Pace of Weeping Water and the grandmother of Mrs. Elwin Isaac and Mrs. Joe Sheehan. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Deckert and family of Omaha were Sun day afternoon and evening lunch eon guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Amelang. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Orell and daughter spent Easter weekend at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Sederberg and Mrs. Donald Sell who both live in Red Oak, Iowa. Mrs. Leonard Vaughn and children and Mrs. Henry Doer mann were in Humboldt Tues day on business. On their re turn they stopped to visit- with Mr. William Bbeck and Mrs. James Dawson on a farm near Johnson and with the Stanley Oestmann family in Johnson. Jimmy Dobbs spent Sunday nt the Russell Coont shome near Springfield. Jeff Salberg, who spent the winter in California, returned home Sunday. He accompanied Fred Huff who had also spent the winter there. Eddie Ingram and James Lar son are spending several days at Hot Springs, Ark., at the horse races. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Norris and Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Nor ris and Kathy of Avoca and Mr. and Mrs. Don Urwln of Louis ville attended the baptismal ser vice of little Steven Ken Nor ris, son of Mr. and Mrs. Rich ard Norris of Avoca, Sunday morning at the Methodist Ch urch in Nehawka. After the ser vice they were all dinner guests at ttie Richard Norris home in Avoca. Mr. Herblc has been visiting this past two weeks with his son, E. C. Herbic and family. Mr. Herbic will return to his home in Alma, Kan., the last of this week. W. L. Blair who recently at tended the horse races at Hot Springs, Ark., with Richard Mei singer and Paul Addyman, went on over to Fayetteville, Ark., to visit with the Bill Arnold fam ily. The Arnolds were former Louisville residents. Mr. and Mrs. Randall Koop and son Curtis of Lincoln are moving this week to Boulder, Colo., where Mr. Koop has been offered an Insurance job. They will spend a weekend at the Harold Koop home before going on to Boulder. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Davis re turned home Saturday from a three weeks cruise in the Car ibbean. They made the trip on a freighter that carried 12 pas sengers. They reported a very nice trip cruising the Atlantic, Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean. They saw some beautiful scen ery in the Islands and rode out a storm without becoming sea sick. They took many pictures, both moving and stills of the places they visited and the wa ters they cruised. . .Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Beck were Tuesday evening supper guests at the Edward Grell home. Mrs. Fred Brand and Heinz attended the confirmation of Mi chael Koever at Avoca Sunday and were dinner euests of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Koever and fam ily. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Wendt and Mrs. Jim Sheehan and Cin dy of Manley were in Omaha Monday. Sunday dinner and supper gu ests at the Raluh Wildrick home were Mr. and Mrs. John San tee Jr. and family of East Om aha, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Lan caster and family of Plattsmouth and Judy Haswell of Ashland. Evening callers were Mr. and Mrs. John Groat house and family of Louisville. The Louisville Rural Fire Dis. trict held its annual meeting at the. Louisville Fire Hall Thurs day evening and held election of officers for the ensuing year. All officers were re-elected for another term. Messrs. Earl Puis and Eldon Ragoss were re-elected from Center and Mt. Pleas ant precincts to serve another term on the board of directors. Mrs. Delbert Scott of Papil- lion and Mr. and Mrs. Elwin Isaac and sons of Manley vis ited at the Joe Sheehan home Sunday. Mrs. Scott also called on Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Sheehan and children. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Grell and sons and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Beck and John were shopping in Plattsmouth Saturday eve ning. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Dumke and Lee of Avoca were guests Tuesday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Voigtman and family in Jefferson, Iowa. Char lie Voigtman of Jefferson was also a dinner guest. The Rev. and Mrs. W. M. Hal stead of Bloomfleld. Iowa, at tended the wedding of Miss Pat ti Gess Friday evening. Mrs. Clarence Crawford who entered Bryan Memorial Hos pital in Lincoln last week under, went surgery cn her arm and returned home Saturday. The Louisville Lions Club will entertain the high school "L" Club at dinner Tuesday evening, April 2. at the Methodist Church with the ladies of the WSCS serving the dinner. The com mittee in charge is particularly pleased that they were able to secure Jerry Bush, head basket ball coach at the University of Nebraska, as speaker. All high school "L" Club members will be guests and many of the fath ers of the boys will also attend the dinner. Mr. and Mrs. Chauncey Wool hiser and Linda of Omaha were Wednesday evening callers at the Joe Woolhiser home. Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Urwin attended the baptismal services Sunday morning of the three sons of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Mei singer of Springfield at the Springfield Methodist Church. Mr. and Mrs.' Jim Dwyer of Glenwood, Iowa, also attended. After the services they were all dinner guests at the Glen Meisinger home. Mr. and Mrs. Simon Johnson and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Johnson and Jeanine were Sunday din ner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Sack. Clyde Knutson entered the Methodist Hospital in Omaha Tuesday for observation and checkup. Mrs. O. R. Faust visited from Thursday until Tuesday at the home of her son. Mr. and Mrs. Merle Faust and family in Blair. She helped with the birthday party of her granddaughter, Cheryl March 20. Sunday dinner guests at the Glen Miller home were Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Meisinger of Platts mouth. Jerry Woolhiser of Omaha spent his Easter vacation with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Woolhiser. Bobby and Kevin Brockley, sons of Dr. and Mrs. Robert Brockley of Lincoln, spent the weekend with their grandpar ents, Mr. and Mrs. LaRue Wil liams. Henry Hopp was taken to the Methodist Hospital in Omaha Tuesday evening by Fussel-! man Ambulance. He was suffer ing from a heart attack. Tt this writing he is slowly improving. Mrs. Jerry Pennington of Sch ertz, Tex., wrote to tell her folks, Mr. and Mrs. H. F. Thur man that she is spending a va- cation with her husband at Goose Bay, Labrador. She says the snow is beautiful and that 1 tunnels are used to get from place to place when the snow is heavy. Mrs. Thelma Heilig and Alan of Nebraska City called on Mrs. Leo Erhart and children Satur day afternoon at Manley. Mrs. Clara Sjogren, who has been visiting with her daughter, Mrs." Carol Alley and sons in California, is expected to arrive home Wednesday. Firemen were called out to put out a fire in trash along the creek behind the OPPD build ing. No damage was reported. Sunday dinner guests at the N. F. Hennings home to help her celebrate her birthday were Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Hennings of Lincoln, Mr. and Mrs. Vern er Hild and Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Hild, all of Plattsmouth, and Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Hennings and family. Mrs. Velma Youngquist and daughter, Mrs. George Griffin and daughters visited Friday af ternoon with Mrs. Belle (Grand, ma) Higgins at the Ebeler Rest Home in Elmwood. It was her 92nd birthday. Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Hauschild, Betty and Billy of Manley call ed on Mrs. Kenneth Hauschild at the Willis Lorensen home in Weeping Water Sunday after noon. Mrs. Kenneth Hauschild received first and second degree burns about the face Saturday when a stove in her home blew up. She was treated at the hos pital and released and is spend ing several days recuperating at the home of her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Zastera and children of Two Harbors, Minn, arrived Wednesday and are spending several days visiting with Mrs. Zastera's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Inman and with Mr. Zastera's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Zastera Sr. in Platts mouth. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Heim joined some friends Sunday eve ning in Omaha and enjoyed an evening of entertainment at Pe ony Park. James Workman returned to his home Tuesday from Meth odist Hospital where he was a patient 10 days. Mrs. Wendell Feighner was taken to Methodist Hospital on Monday suffering from bronch ial pneumonia. Mr. and Mrs. LaRue Williams and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Nes sen are planning to leave Mon day evening March 30 for a three weeks visit to the West Coast. They plan to visit with relatives in Boise, Idaho, for a few days and with Mrs. Wil liams's sister, Mr. and Mrs. Lu ther Morgan at Portland, Ore., and with Mrs. Nessen's brother and family, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Lesan and family in Eugene, Ore., and with other relatives in Oregon and California. Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Sack, Mr. Vernon Urwin and Mrs. George Urwin were shopping in Platts mouth Friday. Louisville Woman's Club The Louisville Woman's Club met March 19 at the home of Mrs. Edith Koop with Mrs. Ruth Huffman assistant hostess. Six teen members and a guest, Mrs. Gertrude Koop were present. It was voted to donate to the Cancer Fund, Red Cross and the Fund for Crippled Children The program was on the trav els of Mrs. Frieda Aschbacher in Germany and Switzerland last summer. Mrs. Aschbacher had many postcard pictures of the places they visited including a factory where Volkswagens are made. This is the annual election meeting. Dutch Academy Club The Dutch Academy Club met at the home of Mrs. Her man Schliefert with Mrs. Wal ter lleier as co-hostess. The club song was Easter Parade. Do nations were made to the Red Cross, Cancer Fund and Heart Fund. The president gave a re port on the Council Meeting at Weeping Water. The lesson, Let's Eat Fruit, was presented by Mrs. Law rence Smith and Mrs. John Lu ken. Next meeting will be at the home of Mrs. Arlie Ragoss. The Happy Hour Club meet ing was held March 13 at the home of Lettle Stohlmann with Mildred Heier as co-hostess. The precident, Hazel Dolan, presid ed. Seventeen members answer, ed roll call. The club voted to give $2 to the Crippled Children Fund and $3 to the Red Cross. Mildred Heier reviewed the book, Preachers' Kids. Refresh ments were served. Center Extension Club Thirteen members and three guests gathered at the home of Mrs. Anna Harms March 19 with Mrs. Leonard Stohlmann as co hostess. Guests were Mrs. Sherman Salberg, Mrs. Jerry McKinstry and Mrs. Hal 1 1 e Mills, the latter becoming a new member of the club. Roll call was answered by members naming their favor ite fruit.
