Dies Wednesday At Daughter's Home Mrs. Edith Fitzpatrick, 72. died Wednesday morning at the home ot her daughter, Mrs. Lyle Wagers, 1201 First Ave., I'latts mouth following an illness of six months. She was born January 11, 1887 at Woodston, Kans., daughter of George and Viola Princlle Graves. She grew up in the community of her birth and where she 'was married on Aug ust 11, 1915, to Grover C. Fitz patrick. The family continued to make their home in Wood ston until 1925 when they mov ed to Weeping Water. Mr. Fitz patrick passed away in Weeping Water in 1938. Mrs. Fitzpatrick continued to make her home in Weeping Water until 1940 when she with her family moved to Plattsmouth. Mrs. Fitzpatrick was devoted to her home and family and her greatest pleasure was in the care and comfort of the home as long as her health permitted. She was a member of the United Brethren church during her re sidence in Kansas. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Lyle Wagers, Plattsmouth; three grandchildren, Peggy, Connie, Ronnie Wagers, Platts mouth; two sisters, Mrs. Clar ence Balmer, Osburn, Kans.; Mrs. Rose Scott, Stockton, Kan. Funeral services will be Sat urday at 2 p.m. at the United Brethren Missionary church at Weeping Water, Rev. Wipf, of ficiating. Burial will be at Oak Wood cemetery, Weeping Water. The Caldwell - Linder funeral home of Plattsmouth in charge of arrangements. Visiting hours will be Friday afternoon and evening 4 to 6 and 7 to 9 at the chapel of the Caldwell - Linder funeral home. ' Former Resident ! Dies In Omaha ! Carl L. Fickler. 51. a niem- ber of a onetime prominent Cass ! County family, died Wednesday at Omaha at the family resi- dence, 4118 So. 13th Street. He I is survived by his mother. Mrs. j Clara Fickler. Omaha; father, I Lee Fickler, Pine River, Minn.; brothers Fred of Omaha and j Jack of Ashland, and sisters j Mrs. Monty Holmes of Omaha. I Mrs. Harold Erbes of Council Bluffs. Funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Dworak Mortuary, Om aha. In the afternoon they visited in Murdock with Mr. and Mrs. Law. rence Smith. Sunday evening callers at the Harms home were Mr. and Mrs. Don Blotzer and family of Omaha. Theron Jones Dies At Vets Hospital At Omaha Theron Jones. 62, veteran of World War I, died Wednesday morning at the U. S. Veterans Hospital in Omaha after an ill ness of two weeks and- a long period of failing health from a brain tumor. He was born at Laurel May 20, 1896, son of William and Elizabeth Jones and was mar ried 27 years ago to Mae Craig Watkins at Logan, Iowa. Mr. Jones was a resident of the Union community for seven years before coming to Platts mouth in 1943. He was employ ed by the Missouri-Pacific at Un ion, later with the BREX at Plattsmouth and the Martin Bomber plant at Fort Crook. With his failing health he has led a retired life in recent years, enjoying while able in assisting many in the care of! their lawns, 1 TTe was a member of the Pre-;, byterian" Church at Laurel in his younger years and then the Baptist Church at Union. He was a member of the American Leg ion and the Fraternal Order of Flagles. Of a genial disposition. "Cowboy." as he was known to a host of friends, had a large acquaintance throughout the county. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Mae Jones of this city, a broth er and six sisters and a step son. J. L. Watkins of Laun Dale, Calif. Funeral services will be Sun day at 2 p.m. at the Union Bap. tist Church, Rev. C. II. Shank- lin officiating. Burial will be at the East Union Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Satur day at Caldwell-Linder Funeral Home Chapel from 4 to 6 and 7 to 9 p. m. Mrs. Merline Jochimsen had the misfortune Tuesday to cut a finger on her rip lit hand in the electric meat, sheer at their gro cery store. A portion of the side of the finger was cut off.
