Mr. and Mrs. Duane Sack and Kills of Omaha and Mrs. and Mrs. Louis Sack drove to Aub urn to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Whitlow for birthday din ner in honor of Mrs. Mary Schwab on her 90th birthday. Mrs,. Schwab is an aunt of Mrs. Louis Sack. Mrs. George Nickles returned last week after a week's obser vation at Clarkson Hospital in Omaha. Mr. and Mrs Shrader Rhoden and Don were dinner guests on Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Albin of Plattsmouth honoring Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Rieke and son who are visiting here. Wayne has been discharg ed from the Army and after the visit plans to return to Seattle, Wash., with his family to live. Dinner guests on Sunday in the Frank Fitzpatrick home were Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Evans of Clarinda, Iowa, and Mrs. Ray Hiley and sons of Glenwood. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Gauer of Louisville and Mrs. Shrader Rhoden and Don were dinner gu ests Sunday evening of Dr. and Mrs. Donald Jackson of Omaha. Keith Stevenson, professor of Cotner College was afternoon speaker and election of officers was held. Roger Noell, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. A. Noell, was elect, ed president of District 2 of the CYF. Dinner was served and Hershall Dugan of Omaha was in charge of the installation ser vice in the evening. CLUB NEWS Sunnyside Extension Club met at the home of Mrs. Elmer Tritsch Feb. 26 with 8 members and one child present. It was voted to give $2 to the Heart Fund. Mrs. Fred Druecker and Mrs. Raymond Lancaster gave the lesson on Laundry Tricks and Gadgets. Next meeting will be at the home of Mrs. Victor Schwarz. The Murray Blue Birds met at Murray School with Mrs. Frank Fitzpatrick, assistant lea der and Mrs. Rob't Shropshire, sponsorong mother present. All members were present. Leader Mrs. Stuart Schlichtemeier is in the hospital. Members finished cutting pic tures for scrap books they were making to take to the hospital. Games were played and refresh ments served. Wiles of Weeping Water was stolen Wednesday from 16th and Davenport in Omaha and Thurs day was found in a creek bed near the Ponca school. The car was described as a total loss. It had been apparent ly pushed off an embankment. The car was found by John Clark, Florence Station. Obituary Of Buena Vista Kuehn Former Murdock Resident Buena Vista Kuehn, nee De muth, was born at Storm Lake, la., April 3, 1888 and departed this temporal life at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Pemberton, Columbus, Ga., Mar ch 6, 1959 after an earthly pil grimage of 70 years, 11 months and 3 days. , When the deceased was a girl of 12, her parents migrated to Nebraska locating near the town of Murdock where she at tended the public schools and grew to womanhood. On August 5, 1907 the depart ed was happily wedded to Mr. Emil Kuehn. This happy and genial union was blessed with one son and one daughter. They lived at Murdock until the year 1935 when they set tled on a farm near Fullerton. Nebr., where they lived for 11 years, when they migrated to Pittsburg, Calif., where Mr. Kuehn followed the barber trade. In 1950 they located at Long Beach, where Mr. Kuehn passed away, December 19, 1952. Two years after the death of her companion the deceased made her home at Hastings, Nebr., and later lived with her daugh ter at Columbus, Ga., and where she answered the final call. In her early teens she joined the Evangelical United Brethren Church at Murdock of which she was an active member. She was also active in the Women's Missionary Society, the Ladies Aid and the Royal Neighbors. She leaves to cherish her memory, one son, Dr. Gerald Kuehn, Hastings, Nebr., and one daughter, Mrs. Evelyn Pember ton, Columbus, Ga.; three grand children; one sister, Mrs. Paul Schewe, Long Beach, Calif.; many other relatives and a large number of friends. Funeral services were con ducted at the Ebenezer Evan gelical United Brethren Church at Murdock, on Tuesday, March 10, 1959 in charge of Rev. H. R. Knosp of Julian, a former pas tor. Truck Blocked Louisville Traffic LOUISVILLE (Special) A big semi-trailer truck owned by James Larson of Louisville and driven by Gene Richards of Springfield jackknifed on an icy hill at Railroad and Walnut Sts. just south of the entrance to the Ash Grove Cement Plant during the recent snowstorm. The truck was loaded with 600 cases of eggs for Eager Pro duce. It started slipping near the top of the hill and the driv er was unable to hold it.
