Mrs. Maple and Mrs. Bur roughs are sisters of Harvey and Alvin Bailer. Holy Trinity Guild Mrs. Leo Schram presided at the meeting Tuesday of the Holy Trinity Guild at the Schram home. She announced the dates of the deanery meeting at St Benedict's church at Nebraska City April 9 and the meeting of the state deanery in Lincoln on May 5-6. Each member answered roll call with religious articles. Mrs. Schram read the message from the national president, Mrs Mark Theissen. The passion and curcifixion of Christ was read from the Bible. Members will send eggs to an orphanage for Easter. Next meeting will be April 7 with Mrs. Gerald Thorns. Death Of Infant Twins Of Mr. and Mrs. Clen Larson Twin daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Glen Larsen of this city, born at an Omaha hospital Fri day passed away at birth. Fun eral services were held Satur day at the John A. Gentleman mortuary and interment was at West Lawn cemetery, Omaha. Surviving are the parents of this city; three brothers, Ken neth, Donald and Terry; four sisters, Carolyn Jean, Diana Lee, Patsy Ann, and Mary Marlene; grandparents, Mrs. Mary Mat ney, all of Plattsmouth, Mrs. Elsie Larsen, Kearney, Nebr. Murray Special Kingsley Lee Kniss, for many years resi dent of the Murray community died February 18 at his home, 1804 So. Primrose Ave., Alham bra, Calif., at the age of 72 years and ten months. Native of Ainsworth, Nebr.. Mr. Kniss came to Murray 1895 where his family were long re sidents for a period of some thirty years. He was one of the early rural mail carirers from the Murray postoffice, serving there for a great many years until transfer ring to California where he con tinued his work as carrier until three years ago when he retired. Mr. Kniss is survived by the wife, Neva, of Alhambra; two sons, James of El Monte, Calif., and Robert of Denver; one sis ter, Mrs. Pearl Lloyd and Ed ward Kniss, both of Murray; three grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. February 21 at the Little Stone church of Turner, Stevens and Turner funeral home. In terment was at Live Oak Mem orial park. Mr. Kniss was a member of the Granada Park Methodist church at Alhambra, also a member of Plattsmouth lodge No. 6, AF & AM. He was also a member of the National As sociation of Retired Civil Ser vice Employees and the National Association of Letter Carriers, Los Angeles city branch. Death Of Infant At Children's Hospital Sunday Sunday at the Children's Memorial hospital at Omaha oc cured the death of Susan Mar ie Hubbell, aeed four months, daughter of Dale and Mararet i Ann England Hubbell. of this city. Survivors are the parents and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Wal ter Hubbel of Glenwood and Mrs. Elsie England of Plattsmouth. Funeral services will be held on Tuseday afternoon at 2 o' clock at the Sattler funeral home. Rev. G. R. Swim offica ting. Burial will be at Oak Hill cemetery. Visiting hours will be at the Sattler funeral home this even ing 7 to 9 o'clock. The family prefer memorials in lieu of flowers. John Pearsley Died At Home In Union Thursday John Pearlsey. 60, lifelong res Ident of the Union community, died at his home Thursday from a heart attack. He was born in November, 1898, at Union, son of Arthur and Ravina Pearsley. He spent his youth in the Union commun ity and Feb. 2, 1946, was mar ried to Miss Mary Weston at Hi awatha, Kan. She survives. Other survivors are brothers Ralph, Leavenworth, Kan., Wil liam, Corpus Christi, Tex., War ren, Union, and Henry, Platts mouth; and sister Agnes Smith of Rapid City, S. D. Mr. Pearsley was a member of the Methodist Church at Un ion and an active member of the American Legion Post 235 at Union. Mr. Pearsley served In the Army in World Wat I and In World War II was a construction worker in Panama. He was en gaged as a heavy equipment construction worker In Panama and since has largely followed that line of work. Funeral services will be Tues day afternoon at the Union Meth odist Church. Rev. Arthur L. Embree officiating. Burial will be at Wyuka Cem etery at Nebraska City with Wil ber Whited. Edward Weston, Thomas Weston, Matthew Mid- kiff. He was uncle of Lucille Horn Gaines, register of deeds, Miss Marie Horn and Miss Helen Horn of this city. Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 10 o'clock at the Lutheran church at Cre ighton. Surviving are five children. Mrs. Horn preceded her husband in death two years ago. A more extended obiturary will appear later in the Journal. LaPlatte Man Dies In Blaze At Rural Home Edward Johnson, 59, resident of the Hensen Lake area west of LaPlatte, died Thursday night when fire destroyed his home. County Attorney Dixon Adams of Belevue said that Johnson's body was found on the bed in the burning home. Mrs. Adams said that a son of Mr. Johnson was bringing the wife of the fat ally burned man home from baby sitting when the fire was discovered. Mrs. Johnson called the fire department while the son pul led his father's body from the burning hose. Mr. Johnson was dead when the Bellevue rescue squad arrived. Cause of the fire has not been determined. Though a sunflower has no muscles, its blossom moves with the sun. The process is called heliotropism.
