Mr. and Mrs. Hy Kirchhoff at tended a chili and oyster sup per at First Lutheran Church near Avoca. Jerry Eidenmiller. son of Mr. and Mrs. Burton Eidenmiller of Bellevue underwent surgery at Children's Hosital. Omaha. Mrs. Lemuel Lane visited Mr. and Mrs. Eidenmiller and later call ed on her grandson at the hos pital. The FHA Chapter in Weeping Water held a special meeting and fleeted officers: President, Jane Davis; vice president, Bev erly Lee; second vice president, Velda Lee; secretary, Carolyn Thorns corresponding secretary, Linda Parson; parliamentarian, Alice Lauritzen: recreation chairman, Linda Rehmeicr; pi anist, Connie Switzer and pub licity chairman, Janice Holt. Of. ficers will be installed March 23. Miss Minerva Schliefert is the FHA advisor. Remodeling work is being donei at the Congregational church kitchen. A new sink and dispos al unit has been installed. A men's rest room has been built in the basement. Michael John Saathoff. son of Mr. and Mrs. John Saathoff, was baptized at the Congregational church Feb. 15. Sponsors were Mr. and Mrs. Fred Saathoff. The general meeting of the Christian Women's Fellowship was held Thursday at the church. Mrs. Lynn Rothe gave the mis sionary lesson. Hostesses were Mrs. Ed Freeman, Mrs. Leo Christensen. Mrs. James Stew art and Mrs. Lester Shrader. Following the meeting the lad ies prepared and served the Cass Countv Teachers banquet. Mr. and Mrs. James Wiles and Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Terry of Lincoln were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Arvin Patton and family. Carol Nickels was an overnite guest at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Uton and family.
