The cub Scout leaders held a meeting on Tuesday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Doyle. The general meeting of the Christian Women's Fellowship was Thursday in the Christian church. Mrs. Greedus Hofker was a guest. A father-son ban quet will be held in the church Jan. 30. The junior circle will meet Feb. 5 with Mrs. Maurice Hammons and the senior circle with Mrs. Plunkett. Hostesses were Mrs. Knaup, Mrs. Bar ter and Mrs. Plunkett. The Weeping Water Band Mo thers Club met Monday at the music room of the school. A committee was appointed to pur chase 48 trays to be used for serving lunches. The Mothers March for the March of Dimes will take place Thursday night, Jan. 29. This is sponsored by the members of the Junior Woman's Club. Mr. and Mrs. Don Fleming and Johnnie were Tuesday eve ning guests of Mr. and Mrs. Lyl Fleming. The WSCS held their January meeting Tuesday at the Meth odist Church. The Weeping Water Volunteer Fire Dept. were hosts to a chick en or steak dinner Friday at the Cass County Auditorium with the wives and guests present. Mrs. E. Thomas Stacey enter tained two groups of ladies on Thursday and Friday mornings at a coffee to raise extra funds for the March of Dimes. The babv has been nam ed Thomas Arthur and weighed 9 pounds, 2'2 ounces at birth. Mrs. William Baker of Weeping Water is maternal grandmother. A-2c and Mrs. Roger Luhring of Homestead. Fla., are parents of a boy born Jan. 9. He has been named David Walter and weighed 7 pounds, 3 ounces. He has a brother. Raymond.
