Womans Fellowship of the Concreutional church met with Mrs. Walter Noerrlinger Thurs day. Mrs. Ernest Norris co-hostess. Mrs. Ernest Norris led the devotional service. After the re gular business meetint? Mrs. El mer Hallstrom and Mrs. May nard Brims took charge of the Christmas Party. There was also a gift exchange. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Danhleff, Mrs. Kristine Sailing, Miss Mat iide Madsen and Mr. and Mrs. Hans Jensen attended the open house Sunday for Mr. and Mrs. Juilus Nielsen, Lincoln honoring their 25th wedding anniversary. John Stubbendick received word of the death of Mrs. Fritz Winters at Crete Friday. Mrs. Winters was the mother of Mrs. Irving Stubbendick, Syracuse. Mrs. Ernest Emshoff, Mrs. Dena Ruge, Frances Ruge, Mrs. Henry Maseman, Mrs. John Eh lers were dinner guests of Mrs. Amelia Balfour near Nehawka Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Kirkhoff, Cheney, announce the birth of a daughter, Dec. 8. She is the former Clara Ludwig. Mr. and Mrs. Louis Ruhge, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Linhardt were guests of Mr. and Mrs. William Luce at dinner Satur day evening and later attended a Hockey game. The ware house of Mr. and Mrs. . Noel Golden was a com plete loss by fire last week. Mr. and Mrs. Golden run a hard ware at Palmyra. Kathy Ann Noerrlinger, dau ghter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Noerrlinger, received rites of christening Sunday. Rev. Zer llnger officiating. Sponsors were Mrs. Walter Noerrlinger and Mrs. Harm Folkerts both grand mothers. A turkey dinner was given later by Mr. and Mrs. Noerrlinger. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Wilson, Mrs. E. Rawalt visited with Mrs. Floyd Amsbaugh, Mrs. Lena Brummer and Mrs. Jack Bishop in Omaha Saturday. Cullen. The Friendly Farmerettes en tertained their husbands at a Christmas party Sunday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Crounover. Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Hane man and family, Avoca, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Noerrlinger and family, Cook, Mr. and Mrs. Chester Noerrlinger and family, Omaha visited Mr. and Mrs. Donald Noerrlinger at Biggers, Ark., over the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Jacobson and Rose Ann visited at the Wm. Roberts home at Wahoo Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Jacobson and Neil Johnson made a busi ness trip to Plattsmouth Mon day morning. The Avoca public school will present a Christmas program at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 22. The grades will present "The Red Candles". The high school chorus will pre sent traditional and modern Christmas carols. All the music is under the direction of Don Mattox. This is free to everyone. Ernest Emshoff was unfor tunate and broke a bone in his foot when a piece of machinery fell on it. It was later placed in a cast. The August Birthday met Wednesday, Dec. 10 Mrs. Allen Ehlers for Christmas party. Three members were added to the club, Mrs. Ralph Meyer, Mrs. Hattie Sudman and Mrs. Wilmer Woh lers. The afternoon was spent playing cards. Prizes went to Mrs. Hans Jensen, Mrs. Karl Neumercter and Mrs. George Meyer. After a gift exchange the secret pals were revealed. The next meeting will be in August at the home of Mrs. Elvin Ems hoff. Coffee guests Saturday even ing at the Allen Ehlers home were Mr. and Mrs. Allen Ehlers and Debbie, Weeping Water, Mr. and Mrs. George Blessing and Barbara, Elmwood and Mr. Gay lord Bose. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Rughe, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Carsten and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ruhge and Ricky joined other relatives at a supper at the Frank Green home at Nebr. City, honoring the Richard Greenrod family visiting here from Denver, Colo. Mrs. Kristine Sailing, Miss Malitda Madsen and Mr. and Mrs. Henry F.
