He is suf fering an ear infection and also in one foot. He will be there this week. Roundup At Police Court Police court docket today dis closed that Saturday was round up day before Judge J. H. Graves, a number of cases be ing disposed and settled. Ronald Kruse, Falls City, charged with speeding on Chic ago avenue, place a cash bond of $20 that was forfeited. Robert E. Schultz, who was charged with intoxication, abus ing an officer and destruction of city property to wit the win dow glass in the city jail, closed his account for a total of $49. W. R. Whitt, charged with careless driving also settled a claim of $15 and costs or $19. There is no error so crooked, but it hath in it .some lines of truth. Martin F. Tupper. Mrs Emma Campbell Dies Saturday Of Heart Attack Saturday afternoon at the family home, 902 Lincoln ave nue, Mrs. Emma Campbell, 64, died as the result of a sudden heart attack. Mrs. Campbell had just started the noonday meal when she was stricken. She was a member of one of the pioneer families of Cass county and has made her home in this state for her lifetime. She was born April 14, 1894 at Oakarchie, Oklahoma, daughter of Robert and Rose Frans Cog dill. Mrs. Campbell is known to a large circle of friends in the eastern portion of Nebraska to whom her death comes as a severe blow. Her chief interest was in her home and family. She was married on January 23, 1913 to Ira Patrick Camp bell, at Hartington, Nebr., but the greater part of their married life was spent in Cass county. Mr. Campbell preceded his wife in death June 3, 1957. Surviving are two sons, Alex Campbell, Arvil Campbell, both of Plattsmouth; three daugh ters, Mrs. Cecil Carr, Mrs. Hur cle Garrlnger, both of Platts mouth, Mrs. Arley VanLaning ham, Yuba City, Calif.; five sis ters, Mrs. Perry Nicklcs, Mur ray; Mrs. Willis Bartlett, Oma ha; Mrs. Arthur Watson, Santa Cruz, Calif.; Mrs. Frank Mar tina, Martinez, Calif.; Mrs. Ray Fiery, Ponca City, Okla.; seven grandchildren. One brother, Sam Cogdill and two sisters, Mrs. John Klaurens and Mrs. Albert Horn preceded her in death. Funeral services will be Tues day at 2 o'clock at the Caldwell Llnder funeral chapel with Rev. Keith Delap, pastor of the First Presbyterian church officiating. Music will be by Mrs. Earl Carr, soloist and Mrs. Twyla Hodge, organist. Burial will be at the Lewiston cemetery southeast of Murray. Pall bearers will be Albertus Campbell, Robert Campbell, Her bert Campbell, Darold Hobbs, Robert Nickles, Steven Sitzman. Flower Bearers will be Mrs. Greeley Biel, and Mrs. Harold Hull. THE PLATTSMOUTH, NEBRASKA, SEMI-WEEKLY JOURNAL Monday, September 29, 1958 PAGE FIVE Death Of Mrs. Zorah Jorgensen Funeral Tuesday Mrs. Zorah Jorgensen passed away in Omaha, Sept. 26, and funeral services will be Tues day at 2 p.m. at the Congretional Church in Weeping Water. Surviving are two sons, Lt. Col. Gerald R. Jorgensen of Fairfax, Va., and Dr. Reginald M. Jorgensen of Montgomery, Ala. Also three sisters Mrs. Avis Shrader, Nehawka; Mrs. Amy LlndquLst, Moline, 111., and Mrs. Dora McGill of Yuba City,, Calif. Hobson Funeral Home of Weeping Water are in charge of the arrangements. Services For Former Weeping Water Resident Funeral services for Loren A. Barrett were held Wednesday, Sept. 10th from the Christian church at Burlington, Kans., a former resident of Weeping Water. Burial was at the String town cemetery. Loren Alva Barrett, son of George and Olive Barrett, was born May 3, 1877 at Elizabeth, 111., and passed away September 8, 1958 at the home of his son Troy Barrett, nine miles north of Burlington. At the age of two years he moved with his par ents to Weeping Water, Nebr., where he lived until 1902. He then moved to Kansas, locat ing near Burlington. On Novem ber 26, 1906 he was united in marriage to Leota Elizabeth Smith. To this union there was born five children, two of them dying in infancy. His parents and two sisters also preceded him in death. On July 30, 1956 he suffered a stroke which paralyzed his left side, making him bedfast. Besides the wife at the home, is survived by two sons, Ivan and Troy of Waverly, Kans.; one daughter, Mrs. Ethel strawn of Yates Center, Kans.; two bro thers, Ray Barrett, of Burling ton and Lynn Barrett of Alder syde, Alberta, Canada; one sis ter, Ethel Van Deer Veer of Long Beach, Calif.; eight grandchild ren and four great grandchild ren. Attending the funeral services were many relatives and friends, among these Bert L. Philpot, Weeping Water and J. W. Philpot, Plattsmouth. Death Of George B. Wray, Former Resident Here George B. Wray, 92, former resident of Plattsmouth, died Tuesday morning at Tekamah, Nebr., where he has been mak ing his home with his son, Roy M. Wray. The funeral services are being held at Tekamah to day (Thursday) and the body brought to this city for inter ment at 3:30 at Oak Hill ceme tery beside the wife. Mr. Wray was born in the state of Indiana and came to Nebraska in 1890, locating first at Louisville, where he spent sometime, later moving to Platts- mouth to enter the employe of the Burlington in the local shops. While a resident of Plattsmouth he was married to Miss Minnie May Seiver, dau ghter of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Seiver, who preceded him in death in 1903. Mr. Wray and family moved to Omaha in 1914 and later to Tekamah where he has since made his home. Surviving are four children. Mrs. Gertrude Ross, Mrs. Gladys Briggs and Mrs. Maxson, all of Omaha and the son, Roy Wray oi lakamah. Bill Sullivan spent the week end at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Newton Sullivan. Bill is an Ag College Student at the University of Nebraska. MA 2777 Mrs. Curtis Dixon Former Union Lady Died At Omaha The death of Mrs. Curtis Dix on, CO, native of Union and for mer resident of Nebraska City, died Sunday at an Omaha hos pital where she has been for some time. She has been suffer ing from cancer. Mrs. Dixon was a resident of Fort Calhoun, Neb., where she has made her home for a great many years and funeral services were held there Tuesday with burial in the cemetery at that place. Clementine Roddy, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James . Rod dy, was born March 19, 1898 at Union. She was married to Cur tis Dixon July 16, 1919. Surviving are her husband a son, Gerald, of West Point; two daughters, Mrs. Jack Smith, Bridgeport, Neb., and Dorothy, Omaha; her mother, residing at Union; and five brothers, Leo, F'rank and Hubert, Union; Rob ert, Omaha and Herbert, Den ver; one sister, Mrs. Carl Wess cll, Unnlon. On Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Plymale of Millard, also visited at the latter's sister's the (Mis ses Reittersi and the guests re turned home with the Plymales. Mr. Eppers is a cousin of the late Mrs. George Reitter, Sr. On Tuesday evening, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Viox, of Lincoln, call ed at the home of his cousins, Misses Freda and Caroline Reit ter and his visiting cousin, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Eppers of Aurora, Ore. The Hanson and Son's Well drilling machine truck overturn ed into a ditch, along side of Highway 34, on the West out skirts of Eagle Wednesday eve ning. Mr. and Mrs. Earle Starr and two children of Lincoln, visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Page, on last Sunday.
