The Mayor and City Council deem it advisable and necessary to construct a sani tary lateral sewer in a part of the City of Plattsmouth, Nebras ka, which is hereinafter pro vided for, and to pass this Re solution of Necessity for that purpose. That said sanitary sewer, consisting of one lateral sewer as hereinafter provided, shall be constructed in said City, and the location, terminal points and size of sewer constituting said sanitary sewer shall be as follows, to-wlt: SANITARY SEWER DISTRICT NO. 15 LATERAL SEWER An 8-inch lateral sewer be ginning at an existing 8-inch sewer in Chicago Avenue lo cated at a point approxima tely 268 feet north of and 305 feet east of the southeast corner of Lot 1, Block 1, Egenbergers Addition; Thence northwesterly and perpendicular to the center line of Chicago Avenue a distance of approximately 80 feet to a point located in Outlot 30, Section 24-12-13; said point being approxi mately 315 feet north of and 242 feet east of the south east corner, Lot 1, Block 1, Egenbergers Addition, also known as Pleasant Hill Ad dition; Thence southwesterly and parallel with the northwest erly line extended of Chic ago Avenue and Highway 75, to the centerline of Thayer Street; Thence west in and along the centerline of Thayer Street a distance of approx imately 915 feet to a point approximately 5 feet west of the east property line ex tended Lot 11, Block 2, Egenbergers Addition. Section 5. To pay the cost of said improvements the Mayor and City Council, after said im provements have been complet ed and accepted, shall cause to be issued negotiable bonds of the City to be known as "Sewer Bonds". The cost of such por tions of said improvements as are local improvements shall be assessed to the extent of special benefits upon properties found to be specially benefited thereby as provided by law. All special assessments shall, when collected, be set aside and con stitute a sinking fund for the payment of the interest and prin cipal of said bonds and there shall be levied and collect ;d an nually upon all the taxable pro perty in the City a tax which, together with the sinking fund derived from the special assess ments, shall be sufficient to meet the payments of interest and principal of the bonds as the same become due; said tax shall be known as the "Sewer Tax" and shall be payable annually in money. Such portions of said improvements which are not local improvements are declar ed to be general public improve ments and for the benefit of all the property in the City. All of said improvements are found and declared to be necessary and proper to furnish a sanitary se wer for the City as above pro vided. Section 6. The engineer's es timate of the total cost of the said improvements is $8,253.60. CITY OF PLATTSMOUTH. Ehlers attended a; basket dinner Sun. at the home of Mrs. Nan Carsten in Avoca. The dinner was to celebrate the wedding anniversaries of several who were married 47 years ago. Mr. and Mrs. Allen Ehlers of Avoca and Linda Rehmeier stay ed at Mrs. Ehlers' home while she was away. The Christian Builders Class of the Christian Church held their regular monthy dinner Sunday in the church parlors with 15 members and four guests attending. An afternoon of fel lowship was enjoyed. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Dokter and family were happy to get a long distance call from their son, LaVern, Sunday evening. He is stationed at Amarillo Air force Base in Texas. He is at tending tech school for several months after which he hopes to receive a leave o come home.
