Parents or the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Harry Cooper of Glen wood and Mr, and Mrs. Walter Flint of this city. Reverend Chester Waterman officiated at the einjht in the evening ceremony. Baskts of white and lavendar gladioli decorated the church al tar. The bride wore a floor length Bown of re-embroidered Chantil ly lace and tulle over satin. The pointed bodice of the lace fea tured a V neckline, outlined with scallops of the lace, and long tapered sleeves. The bouffant skirt of the tulle was fashioned with a pointed peplum of the lace, and fell over an underskirt of ruffled tulle. Her fingertip veil of imported illusion was caught by a half-hat of jewelled lace and tulle edged with scal lops of seed pearls. She carried a white orchid. Miss Bettv Morris of Murray was maid of honor. She wore a lavendar ballerina dress and car ried a bouauet of white and lav endar gladioli. It py 10 b tur. Hult- berg of Blair and ushering were Harry Cooper, brother of the bride, and Darrell Flint, brother of the bridegroom. Linda Bond. Avoca, Nebr , niece of the bridegroom, was flower girl. Mrs. Phobe McCoy of Glen wood played the wedding music. Miss Nancy Painter of this city took charge of the gifts and Jo Ann Thompson of Blair tended the guest book. Ladies of the church had ch arge of the reception for the forty guests after the ceremony. Following a short wedding trip to the Lake of the Ozarks the couple will make their home at the Harold Apartments In this city. Mr. Flint is employed at the Christensen Standard Service Station In Glenwood and Mrs. Flint is employed at Omaha. Western Vacation For Local People Mr. and Mrs. Cleo Baker and son, Don Baker, accompanied by Mary Alice Ohlschlager, have returned home from a vacation trip. The group stopped at Valentine and went on to the Badlands enroute to the Black Hills where they spent three days. They at tended the Passion Play and toured the Interesting spots In the territory. The vacationers continued on to Eastern Wyoming returning home through Scottsbluff and at Ogallala the trip was highlight ed by the Pine Ridge Indians. At Minden. they visited Pio neer Village and at Hastings the House of Yesterday, return ing home Friday. Karen Young Hosts Junior Auxiliary Friday evening the American Legion Junior Auxiliary met at the home of Mrs. Kenneth Young where Karen Young was hos tess. President Mary Ann Claus presided at the business meet ing. It was voted to make car pet rags at the following meet ing. Nine members and one guest were present. Mrs. Kenneth Dun lap and Mrs. Robert McClana han sponsor the group. To close the evening, Mrs. Young and daughter served ice cream, cookies and a cold drink. STI1AL Linsey Family To New Air Base Dinner euest in the home of Staff Sgt. and Mrs. Wallace Lee Saturday was T - Sgt. Joseph Linsey. Sgt. Linsey and family are leaving Offutt Air Force Base for Gunners Air Base at Mont gomery, Ala., where Linsey will receive his officer's commiss ion. Mrs. Linsey and children are visiting in Springfield, Mo., at present. Baumgart Reunion At Nebr. City Members of the Baumgart family enjoyed a noon picnic at Stelnhart Park in Nebraska City Sunday. Attending were Mr. and Mrs. August Bretthorst and sons and Mr. and Mrs. Herman Teaton, all of Syracuse; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Baumgart and Mr. and Mrs. Rex Carmlchael and Jan Ice of Sterling. News From The Hatt Families In Washington News from Edmonds, Wash., from the Fred Davenport fam ily, former Plattsmouth resi dents, relates how they enjoy their home town paper, the Plattsmouth Journal. They say it has been a little like oid home week at their res idence; a sister of Mrs. Daven port, Mrs. Gilbert Fornoff and family of Weeping Water, are visiting at Edmonds. Two brothers. Dick and Jack Hatt and families live in Seatle and a sister, Mrs. G. A. Gauthier and family live just a block from the Davenport family. Wednesday evening the Dick Hatts entertained the relatives at dinner, this being the first time the family had been able to be together in a number of years. Parents of the couple are Mrs. Stella Quinnett of this city and Mr. and Mrs. Ora L. Corbin of Wentz ville, Mo. After a honeymoon in the Lake of the Ozarks, the couple will make their home in Omaha. Ramona Coolbaugh Presides At Mrs. Jaycees Meet The Mrs. Jaycees met at the home of Mrs. Nadine Freeburg Monday evening. The meeting was called to order by president, Ramona Coolbaugh and invoca tion was given by Helen Smock. Mrs. Jean Schneider gave a re port on the concession stand of the recent carnival. Further plans were discussed and made of the coming children's memor ial bazaar. The members voted to have a float in the King Korn Karnival and Deline Faris and Shirley Born were appointed as co-chairmen to work on this project. Plans were also made for a bake sale to be held during the King Korn Karnival. Nadine Freeburg was appoint ed co-chairman of the courtesy ; commmee. ! ine door prize was won by Carol Bogle. Benediction was given by Helen Smock and I the meeting adjourned. ! The program this month con- I sisted of the girls showing their completed bazaar items. Mrs. Melvin Wilson Honored At Shower Mrs. Ray Sprieck, Mrs. Alice Perry and Mrs. Richard Glaze were hostesses Thursday even ing honoring Mrs. Melvin Wilson at a stork shower. The party took place at the Perry home. Gifts from the 20 guests were placed on a stork decorated table. Games were played and prizes were awarded to Mrs. William Burch and Mrs. Roy Clark. Rathert of Louisville, Ky., and Mr. Frederick Richard Seybold, son of the Reverend and Mrs. G. E. Seybold of Plattsmouth, took place at 8 o'clock Saturday evening in St. James United Church of Christ, Louisville, Ky. Mi.ss Judy Groves of Louisville was the maid of honor and the bridesmaids were Miss Nancy Meyer of Detroit, Mich., the bride's cousin, was the flower girl. Mr. Hal Arney of Calumet City, 111., was the best man and the ushers were Messrs. Bob Birkner of LaCrosse, Wis.; Don Bade of Owensville, Mo., a cou sin of the bride, and Bob Groves of Louisville. The Rev. Kenneth Rathert, who officiated at the double-ring ceremony, was assisted by the Rev. G. E. Seybold. A reception was held in the parish hall of the church. After a wedding trip to the Great Smoky Mountains, Mr. and Mrs. Seybold will live in Omaha. Eagles Auxiliary Meeting Report Meeting opened with Presi dent Edith Haley presiding. The sick cojnmittec reported flowers had been sent to Ireta Woods, Dorothy Bowman and Grace Sublett. Last year's auditor Betty Ladd gave final report of the fiscal year. Plans were made for the an nual bar-b-que August 24th. It was agreed to help the men with food preparations. Competitive games were al3 planned. Rachel Meints was awarded a year's dues.
