The next meet ing will be Aug. 4 at 7:30 p. m. at the home of Carol Schlue ter. Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Upton and family were picnic supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Rothe and family Tuesday. Mrs. Harold Wade and daugh ters and Mrs. Eivln Betts and Sharon were Monday afternoon guests of Mrs. Oeorge Miller and family. Mrs. Walter Luhrlng was a Monday morning guest of Mrs. Miller. Mr. and Mrs. Harlon Stock and Sharon were in Lincoln Thursday evening and entertain ed Mr. and Mrs. Robert Miller at a steak dinner in honor of the birthday of Mrs. Miller. Mr. and Mrs. Forrest Stock and Judy of Kearney visited Friday afternoon and evening with Mr. and Mrs. Haiion Stock and Sharon. Mrs. Mark Hohman and chil dren were Wednesday guests of Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Koubek of Plattsmouth. Shirley Chab of Wilber was visiting from Thursday until Monday with Roberta Knaup. The girls were roommates at the University of Nebraska the past year. Mr. and Mrs. Dean Fulton of Davenport, Iowa, were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Plunkett and Wendell. Mrs. Ful ton returned home with Mr. Ful ton after spending the week with her parents. Rev. and Mrs. Victor Schwarz and family are vacationing in New Mexico with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eucene Adkins. Larry Schroeder fulfilled the pul pit at the Christian Church Sun day in his absence. David Liv ingston led in the singing and the scripture reading. Charles Paine of Chickasha, Okla., will bring the morning message Aug. 3. Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Ten Hulzen and family of Auburn were weekend guests of Mr. and Mrs.. Howard Rasmussen and daughters. Mrs. Edith Cosgrove of Citron elle, Ala., visited for a few days with her sister and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Art Hammond. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Akeson and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Ward were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Norris. Sunday after noon they all attended open house in Shenandoah and view ed the gardens. Mr. and Mrs. Leo Christensen and Mr. and Mrs. James Kivett were Sunday afternoon and eve ning guests at a barbeque sup per at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Joyce and Jerry Jr., of Lincoln. Mrs. Miller Christensen and Mrs. Leo Christensen were bus iness visitors in Plattsmouth on Monday afternoon. Mrs. Vern Harter entertained her pinochle club Thursday. Mrs. Bill Sheehan was a guest and won the high score prize. Low score prize was won by Betty Hermann with Mrs. E. E. Moore winning the traveling prize. The ladies will meet Aug. 7 with Mrs. Ethel Hermann. Mary Lou Meyer, Mrs. Vern Harter and Mrs. Richard Sam land held a miscellaneous show er on Sunday evening, honoring Ruth Ann Hermann. Guests at tended from Weeping Water, Syracuse and Lincoln. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Domingo and Tommy and Mr. and Mrs. combined their dinner on Sun day at the Wood home. 5-Year Term Leo Bert Christensen of Iowa Falls, Iowa, received a 5-ycar prison term today after entering a plea of guilty to a no-account check charge, Christensen pass ed a $43.61 check in Plattsmouth on July 12. His record included 21 previous arrest which noted three prison terms. 30 Days Gerald Dick Record of Platts- mouth entered a plea of guilty to no account check charge m j District Court today and was ! given a 30-day jail sentence.
