Brown and daugh ters, Miss Patricia Brown and Mrs. Jack Brookhousor and dau ghter, Pamela, will leave the 17th lor Boulder, Colo., to attend the wedding of Miss Nancy Ha i;erman and Robert Cummings. Miss Hagerman is a niece of Mrs. Brown and is being married the 10th in the First Lutheran Church at Boulder. Miss Patricia Brown is to be her cousin's brideniaid. Houseguests At L. R. Tipton Home Mr. and Mrs. L. R Upton, Jr., of San Diego, Calif., left Thurs day for their home after a visit here in the home of his parents, Mr.4 and Mrs. L. R. Tipton, Sr. The California visitors also cal led on Mr. and Mrs. L. A. Dash er and daughter, Linda. Mrs. Dasher being a sister of Mr. Tipton Jr. Delaine Tipton, son of Mr. and Mrs, L. It. Tipton, Sr., also was a visitor home from the University of Nebraska where he is studying Electrical Engineering. Delaine has accepted a position during the summer months in Detroit. Local People Set August For Wedding Mr. and Mrs. James Aspedon announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Sherry Lynn Gardner, and Clarence Ham, both of this city. Mr. Ham's parents arc Mr. and Mrs. Chester Ham. The couple set their wedding date August 4 at Fremont. Eagles Auxiliary Officers Installed Joint Installation was held Saturday night of Eagle No. 3G5 and Auxiliary. The following la dies installed: Margie Willis, Junior Past President; Edith Haley, presi dent; Arlene Kahout, vice presi dent; Shirley Newburn, conduct rets; Irene Smith, secretary and Dorothy Janacek, treasurer. Also Evada Weatherby, in side guard; Eva Newburn, out side guard; Honey Cole, Helen Jordan and Mary Potts, trustees. Lillian Renner was installed as honorary mother, and presented a lovely corsage. Dolly Doyle was named musician. A dutch lunch and dance com pleted the evening. Engagement Told Of Miss Patron Cappell Home Scene Of Visitors Visitors at the Robert Cap pell home recently were Robert Cappell, a son, of Oakland, Calif., and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wohlfarth of Long Beach, Calif., and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wohl farth of Edmund, Okla. The Wohlfarths were visitors over the weekend. Robert Cappell is employed with the Shell Development Co., in the great west, and plans leaving for his home Sunday. Arriving today at the Cappell home were Reverend and Mrs. Chris Myrop of Arcadia, Nebr. and Miss Helen Gorder of Port land, Ore. Mrs. Myrop is a cou sin of Mrs. Cappell. Robert D. Pankonin returned home to West Des Moines, la., after spending a week with rela tives and friends here. Suzie Haith, Sharon Harms, Antholee Rizzi, Carol Long, Pa mela Womack, Ronald Mayle and Nadine Weiss appeared in solo numbers. They and the following ap peared in small and larger group numbers: Gayle Eaton, Susie Klauke, Jo Cole, Kae Haith, Laurie Skalak, Susan Lutz, Nancy Nielsen, Bar bara Neeley, Dianne Buchholz, Marcia French, Margaret Sprad-lin. Karen E vans, Patty Murphy, Bill Schlichtemeier, Tommy Sch lichtemeier, John Bernhardt, Dennis Bernhardt. Dixie Wilson, Donna Steppat, Susan Hansen, Patty Smith, Vicki Cole, Patty Campbell, Linda Gregg, Larry Gregg, Peggy Liddick, Karen Porter, Suzanne Solomon. Special solo numbers were danced by Miss Newton and Bud Lewis. Pianist Jim Rhea and the Ab stracts, a four-piece orchestra played. Phone 5113 Mary E. Keeley Birthday Honoree Mrs. William Keeley honored her daughter, Mary Elizabeth, on her 12th birthday June 10 at the family home. Mary Elizabeth and guests were treated to a barbecue sup per on the spacious lawn at the Keeley residence. Guests were friends and classmates of the honoree. Mary Elizabeth received many lovely gifts. The evening was spent enjoy ing the barbecue and playing games. Mrs. Keeley and daughter will be moving this month to Wash ington, D. C. Mrs. K. C. Conser Is Shower Honoree Mrs. Towner Livingston and daughter, Linda, were hostesses Thursday evening at the family home honoring Mrs. K. C. Gon ser of Denver, the former Jo Ann Livingston. The party was a bridal show er with aunts of Mrs. Gonser as guests. Twelve present played bride bingo and prizes were awarded to the winners. Mrs. Gonser received many lovely gifts. Piano Recital Presented Here A recital by piano students of Mrs. J. A. Capwell was given at the Lions Building Thursday evening June 5th. Students presented Mrs. Cap well with a pink and white car nation corsage, and other gifts. Mail Chess Players Meet Here Monday Mr. and Mrs. H. G. Frey were pleasured with a visit Mon day of Reverend A. C. Suyker, a Catholic Priest from Lords burg, N. M. The guest is an opponent chess player by mail of Mrs. Frey, and this visit was their first meet ing. Reverend Suyker, a Hollander, is a naturalized citizen residing here eight years, and proved to be an interesting guest. He was on tour to Washington, D. C, Canada, stopping here, then on to Denver and his home in New Mexico. Mrs. Frey and her visitor play ed two games of chess on his visit here Monday and being a gracious hostess her guest was winner of both games. Mr. and Mrs. A. F. Kearns of Lincoln spent Saturday and Sun day at the home of Mrs. Christy Hickey. Marlene Haden, Herbert Brown Wed Miss Marlene L. Haden, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Haden and Mr. Herbert L. Brown, son of Mr. and Mrs. Her bert Brown of this city were united in marriage June 8. The marriage was performed by Reverend Carlton Spatzek at the First Lutheran Church. Attending the bridal couple were Larry Vallery and Ardyth Haden. The bride wore a pastel pink frock with white accessories and a white carnation corsage. After the ceremcuy, a recep tion was held at the home of the bride's parents for the Im mediate families. The three tier wedding cake was baked by the bride's auntk Mrs. Else Wendt of Murdock. Miss Irene Haden was in charge of the reception. Out of town guests were the bridegroom's sister and family, Mr. and Mrs. Wiiliam Gottsch and children Steve and Susie of Lincoln. The couple are making their home at 702 Livingston Road, Plattsmouth. BIRTHS Son Born to Mr. and Mrs. David Anthony Wuelling of this city, a 7 lb. 8 oz. boy at the St Joseph Hospital, Omaha, June 4. The couple has one other child, a girl, Mary Irene. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Ed Duncan and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Thystrup. Daughter Mr. and Mrs. Glen Kaffen berger are the parents of a daughter born June 7, weighing 6 lbs 10 oz. She has been named Cheryl Ann. Mother, Daughters Enjoy Chicago Visit Mrs. Maynard Tritsch and daughters, Carol, Mary Ellen, and Pamela, motored to Chicago, 111., where they spent a week vacationing. They visited Mrs. Tritsch's daughter, Nancy, who Is employed at the University of Chicago in the Art Depart ment. The Plattsmouth vacationers also were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Palecek at Berwyn, 111. Mrs. Palecek is the former Florene Tritsch of this city. Mrs. Tritsch and daughters re turned home Tuesday afternoon. Marty Ogg Enjoys Third Birthday Marty Ogg celebrated his third birthday Saturday. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Karl Ogg. Guests were Gayle Brendel, Barbara Grove, Cora Lea Lin der, April and G. G. Saunders and brother, Don Ogg. Tommy Schmidt was unable to be pre sent. Games were played and fav ors were given to all, afterwhich birthday cake and refreshments were served, and the opening of the gifts enjoyed by all. Daughter Mr. and Mrs. Keith Drake, Lincoln, are parents of a daugh ter, born June 10th at St. Eliza beath hospital, Lincoln. Mrs Drake is the former Esther Klein of Union. Mr. and Mrs. John Klein of Union and Mrs. Arthur Drake of Elmwood are grandparents. Son Born to Mr. and Mrs. Grover Cundall, Jr., of this city,' a son, at St. Mary's hospital Nebraska City, Thursday, June 12. The young man has been named Bradlee. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Grover Cundall, Sr., and Mr. and Mrs. Tine Har baugh of this city. Great grand parents are Mr. A. A. Cundall of Sutton and Mrs. Sophia Mason of this city. Mrs. Nolan Mcintosh drove to Plattsmouth yesterday from her home in Kansas near the torn ado area to visit here with Mrs. Ralph Murray. Mrs. Mcintosh's property was not damaged. Mrs. Don Anderson To Enjoy Visit In Darmstadt, Germany Mrs. Dora Anderson, who has been making her home in Arcadia, Calif., is now here at the home of her sister, Mrs. Bernard Wurl, pending her de parture for West Germany, where she will visit with rela tives and friends. The visit will be a great treat as it will give her the opportu nity of seeing many of the mem bers of her family who are still living in the old home. Darmstadt is one of the chief cities In western Germany and noted in the history of the nation. Boy Staters Draw Assignments For Week Of Scrvico The 18th session of Boy State, American Legion sponsored an nual event, will open Sunday and run through Saturday noon, June 21st. The boys live in' eight towns named after his toric events in American history. They have assigned their towns and will be all set for the program and election that will come next week.
