Witzel of Madi .liii, Nebraska. Mr. Witel is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Porsey Witia-l of Mad i. on. Miss Hcnney is a .sister of Mrs. Jack Troop of this city. The Reverend Keith Delap, pa. tor of the church, officiated at the five in the afternoon wedding ceremony in the pre sence of close friends and rela tives. Mrs. (ieorge Jacobs was or ganist and Mr. Lawrance Hud dle, uncle of the bridegroom, was soloist. The bride entered the church Mid made her way to the altar on the arm of her brother-in-law, Jack Troop- She was gown ed in a ballerina chant illy lace over net, over taffeta. The elon gated waist was fashioned with a sabrina neckline, accented with jewelled scallops of lace OES Grand Chapter Session In Lincoln Mrs. Luella Rognier of Fair bury and Herbert A. Ronin of Lincoln were installed as Worthy Grand Matron and Worthy Uiand Patron, Order of the Eastern Star, State of Nebr. The very beautiful and im pressive ceremony climaxed a three day session held in the Per hing Municipal Auditorium in Lincoln. Of local interest was the fact that Mrs. Margaret Worlhman of Louisville was In stalled as Associate Grand Con ductress. Mis. Lunetta Hutchinson, Worthy Matron of Home Chap ter No. 189 was appointed to .serve as a Grand Attendant and attended the entire session. Attending from Plattsmouth en Vedne:day were Mrs. Carrie Clei.lt, Mrs. Emma Egenberger, Mrs. Jessie Robertson, Miss Nina '.'.hankland uf the Masonic Home who were 50 year members and were honored at a luncheon and introduced and welcomed by the Worthy Grand Matron and Pat ion. The full skirt was accented by a high waist line and cummerbund of shaded blue taffeta. She wore a match ing headdress and carried a col onial bouquet of blue and while carnations. Jack Michael Troop, nephew of the bride, attired in a white linen suit, was ringbearer. Mr. Merlin H. Decker of Al bion was best man. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Troop were hosts at a nuptial dinner lor the immediate families following the ceremony. The couple left on a wedding trip to South Dakota, and after May 24 will be at home at 324 North 28th St. Omaha. The bride is a graduate of the riattsmouth Schools, class of 1954 and a graduate of Nebraska Methodist Hospital School of Nursing, 1957. Mr. Witzel graduated from the Madison High School in 1953 and attended Norfolk Junior College. Union Auxiliary Hostess For Meeting The American Legion Auxil iary of Union will serve as hos tess to the spring meeting of the Cass County American Legion Auxiliary Convention May 23 at 8 p. m. in the Legion Hall at Union. All members of the American Legion Auxiliary of Cass County are invited to attend. Miss Fricke Hostess To Guests Saturday Miss Dora Fricke of this city was hostess Saturday to a group of relatives and friends at a luncheon. Guests included Mrs. E. A. Fricke, Mrs. Bob Fricke Of Ashland, Mrs. Lillian Harnsber ger, of Lincoln, and Mrs. E. A. Fricke's cousins, Miss Dora Meyer and Mrs. Martha Petrie of Watertown, Wis. Mrs. Jaycees Hold Dessert Luncheon Consumers Hal! took a tropi cal air May 17 for the 12:30 p.m. membership dessert luncheon of the Plattsmouth Mrs. Jaycees. The theme for the luncheon was "In the Middle of an Is land" and tables were covered in light blue representing the ocean, ana each place was op- pointed with nut cups fashioned j into thatch huts and palm trees j on an "island." The dessert served was in keeping with the tropical theme, a rieligtful blend of pineapple, oranges, bananas, berries and lime sherbet, served in pine apple shells. Leis was presented to each guest, a small gift of Harold A. Smock, newly elected State Vice President of the Nebraska Jun ior Chamber of Commerce. Mrs. Grant Coolbaugh, chair man of the dessert luncheon, acted as toastmistress. She in troduced Mrs. Harold A. Smock, president of the local Mrs. Jay cees, who spoke briefly to the guests present. Jerry Meeske was his brother's best man. Daughter Mr. and Mrs. George Sachs are parents of an 8 pound, 10 ounce girl born at the St. Jos eph Hospital May 15. The cou ple has three other children, all boys. Mrs. Bill Williamson who has been a patient at the St. Cath erine's Hospital, Omaha for treatment is expected to return home today. Final details for the club tour to the Gardens at Shenandoah were also discussed. A busy schedule has been planned by the tour chairmen. Mrs. Ernest Bond extended an invitation to the club to hold the annual family picnic at her home. The date was set for Sun day, July 27 at 12:30. At the close of the afternoon, Mrs. Neil Snell was honored bv the members with a pink and blue shower. The next formal meeting will be August 12 at the home of Mrs. Karl Kreager assisted by Mrs. John Hild. Avoca Woman's Club Hosts District Meet AVOCA (Special) The Avoca Woman's Club held a clinic here Monday consisting of the district including Cass, Otoe and Lan caster counties. The meeting was called to order by Mrs. O. Attebery dis trict president. Mrs Don Wall, chairman of religion gave the devotionals. Mrs. Landis Rufia, 1st vice president, gave mem bership extension.
