Open installation will be held on May 21 in the Agricultural Auditorium. The regular meeting of the Women's Association of the Con gregational Church was held Wednesday. Mrs. Lawrence Wiseman spent several days the past week with her sister. Mrs. Nell Dowler of Omaha who entered a hospital Tuesday afternoon and will un dergo surgery. The 4-H Forestry Club held their Achievement Day at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Elliott. Mrs. Frank Cook was a special guest and the mothers of the boys were guests also: Mrs. William Kunz. Mrs. Wilbur Clark, Mrs. Vern Barter Mrs. J. M. Ranney leader and Mar garet Ranney. John Barter. Billy Kunz, Dick ie Elliott, Lani Beach, Donnie Elliott and Kenneth Clark each gave a talk on trees. The Busv Belles 4-H club have organized their club for this sum mer and met at the home of their leader, Mrs. Carcnce Seh madeke. The new officers are: President, Susan Thomson: vice president, Linda Rasmussen: secretary, Marilyn Schadeke and news reporter Linda Schmadeke. Other members are Susie Nich ols and Patty Dennis. The Kitchen Klatter and Sew inettes 4-H Clubs have organi zed for their summer meetings and have elected the following officers: President. Mrs. Eugene Domin go and Mrs. Vincent Rehmeier are the leaders. The group will meet May 26 at the home of Linda Rehmeier. Mrs. John Heebner returned home on Tuesday after spend ing several months with her dau ghters and families, Mr. & Mrs. Gerald Wright and Mr. and Mrs. James Jabot of Denver. Mrs. Troy Jewell, Mrs. Tom Akeson, Mrs. Murray Mutter, Mrs. S. R. Seaver, and Mrs. Harold Blaikie attended a Wo man's Club work clinic at Avoca on Monday. Mr. an Mrs. Carl Day have returned to Weening Water after spending the winter in Braden ton, Florida. The Weeping Water Parent Teacher's Association met Mon day at the school auditorium for the final meeting until Septem ber. Truman Lytle presented the dramatic club in a program. Mrs. Harold FA- liott conducted the meeting. The; club voted to purchase one drum major and three drum major ette uniforms, and cymbals for the band. He weighed 5 lbs.. 9 oz.. and has been named John ny William. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Betts and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Bailors of Weeping Water. The Bth grade class held their class day anil tea in the Weep ing Water High Auditorium with the mothers and the 7th grade as guests. As each mother arriv ed a white carnation was pinned on them. Beverlv- Lee gave the welcome and was the announcer for the program. Linda Reh meier was chairman of the host ess and carnation committee. Linda and Sharon Moore play ed a piano duet. The class history was read by Kenneth Domingo, Jack Rho des, Wayne Detmer and Lee Roy Starr. Nicknames and fav orite sayings were read by Alice Lauritzen. Margie Nichols and Gary Sooner. 1 he class will was read by Ronnie Goehenour and Tommy Domingo. The class pro phecy was read by Linda Lane and Janice Kassube. Judy Root, Janice Kassube. Janice Holt and Sharon Gansemer sang "I Be lieve", accompanied at the piano by Connie Switzer. A musical skit was presented by several of the pupils. Follow ing the program the seventh grade wont back to their room and tea was served to the moth ers. The table was lovely with a centerpiece of flowers with can dles on either side. Janice Holt served. Thi' Weeping Water Council met for its first meeting since the new officers wore elected with all the members present. It wa.s voted to cnange uie .stop .signs at the Christian Church corner to see if it would help solve the speeding problem on this street. Some repair work will be clone on the pavement on Eldora Avenue. The Weeping Water Chamber of Commerce met for their May meeting on Thursday with Ran dall Faris conducting the meet ng. The dinner wa.s .served by the ladies of the church. Allen Rhine presented the program. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Wiles. Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Hart and Mrs. T. A Wiles were Sunday dinner guests of Mrs. Reuben Groes.er. Mr. and Mrs. Sterling Wiles were Sunday dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Julius Niel.-en of Lincoln. Mrs. Ed Freeman received word that her granddaughter, Christie Lynn Mather, daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Mather of Tekemah had the misfor tune to get a bone broken above her ankle. She will be in a cast for .some time. She is 18 months old. The Mathers were former residents of I'latt.smouth. Mrs. Ray Ehlers, Sharon and Nancy were Saturday afternoon callers of Mrs. L. F. Ehlers. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hammons apd four children of Farragut. Iowa, attended church services at the Christian Church on Sunday and visited relatives in this vicinity. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Meeske and family and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Domingo and family combined their dinners on Sun day at the D'iniingo home and visited with the newly-weds, Mr. and Mrs. Gayle Meeske. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Domingo and family were Sunday eve ning guests of Mr. and Mrs. Boyne Parson and family of Cedar Creek. j Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Ranney i attended the College of Agri- ! culture Rodeo in Lincoln on Sat urday.
