The Future Homemakers of America held their annual Mother-Daughter tea at the home making room April 2. Mary Lou Briley was mistress of ceremo nies, Sue Johnson and the Girls Glee club sang. The teachers of the Malcom Pollard and Wilmer Harshman families were entertaned at din ner recently at the Pollard home. The Harshinans were co-hosts. The Nehawka chapter of the Future Farmers of America at tended the state convention and vocational agriculture .iudning contests at Lincoln last week. The official delegates were Ted Brannon and Garv Jones, Ron ald Dickman was alternate. The Nehawka Chapter received a superior chapter award in judg ing. The livestock judging team, Larry Banks, Don Uhe, Dennis Whittington received a white ribbon. In Poultry judging. Les ter Turner, Bill Johnson and Virgil Gerdes placed filth in metal welding. Edward Jans en played with the state FFA band during the convention. Mrs. Cecil Garrett returned home from St. Mary's hospital last week. She was in traction for several days due to a back injury received in a fall down some steps at her home. Evelyn Wolph retrurned home Friday from St. Mary's hospital at Nebraska City where she had surgery on her arm.
