Burial was In Immanuel cemet ery. Mrs. Llovd Arthur of Colorado came Friday for the funeral of her aunt. Mrs. Schewe, also to visit her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Neitzel. leaving for her home on Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. John Krueger spent Sunday in Fremont at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jess Land holm and family. Saturday evening supper gu ests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Elseman "were, Mr. and Mrs. John Krueger, Mr. and Mrs. Lacey McDonald and Mr. and Mrs. George Mooney of Ashland. Heim celebrate her birth day Sunday evening. Homemade Ice cream, cake and coffee were served. Marion Thiessen of Omaha Is spending a few days visiting friends in Murdock during sp ring vacation. Eighteen members and two visitors met at the home of Mrs. August Rieke.. for the " March meeting of the Good Luck club with the president Mrs. John Murdoch presiding. ' It was decided that we send the four crib quilts we had made to Booth Memorial Hospital in Omaha. . Plans for a Lincoln tour April 16 were discussed. Mrs. Robert Stock gave an art icle on the governor's mansion open house. Mrs. Otto Riekman read a poem, Mrs. Harry Stock discussed arrangement of liv ing room furniture. Mrs. Verle Stock and Mrs. Carl Backemeyer were assistant hostesses. Mr. and Mrs. Gus Stock, Mr. and Mrs. William Stock return ed home on Tuesday from Le- proceedlngs against James Eden. Reports were given by different committees. Lessons on sandwiches were presented by member, Mrs. Ed McCrory was added and another guest, Mrs. Earl Knop was present. A lunch was served by the hostess. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Luetchesn have as their guests this week their daughter, Mabel, and hus band of Napiervllle, 111., and their youngest son, Melvln, who Is attending school at LeMars, Iowa. Holy Week services were held at the Methodist Church Monday evening from 6 to 8 p. m. This was a first in a series of servic es held around the clock during Holy Week in the Omaha district. Mrs. Elmer Ross played an hour of organ meditation, the junior choir sang and the spiritual life chairman, Mrs. Emma Nutz man, presdented a meditation. The minister, Rev. C. F. Welde man, talked on prayer. Mrs. Amelia Balfour enter tained her bridge group Tues day afternoon. Mrs. Jack Hines received low and Mrs. Elmer Wessel, high. Jed Kropp arrived home Sat urday from Alabama where he has been stationed for some time. He will spend the month of April with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Kropp and his gr andmother, Mrs. Sarah Kropp, and will then go to Japan ior three years. Ronald Dysart flew in from Oakland, Calif., to be with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jess Dysart of Union. Mrs. Dysart who was seriously ill is now improved. It was decided to make a drive of the Nehawka com munity and Mrs. Marion Tucker and Mrs. Will Ost and Mrs. Ar thur will be the chairmen and organize the drive. It is necessary to make this drive to continue the bloodmob ile in Cass County. Mrs. Ann Krska, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Krska and family, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Krska and family, all of Omaha, were dinner gu ests Sunday of the Leo Schramm,.
