Keil, 50, former resi dent here and a son of Louis Keil of this cltv. died Tuesday at Kansas City, Kansas of an illness that has covered the past three years. Mr. Keil, member of one of the pioneer families of the Ce dar Creek community was born there September 9, 1907, spend ing his childhood days in that community until his parents,, moved to Plattsmouth. His pat ernal grandparents were Mr. and Mrs. John Peter Keil. Carl received his education in the local schools, graduating from the high school in this city in 1926. Following his gra-; , dilation here he attended the Kemper Military Academy in Missouri and later a year at the University of Nebraska. He was one of the popular young men of the community and greatly interested in sports" while in his school years, He was of a very genial personal ity that won him many friends in his various activities In his later life. Carl also took a great interest in the events of the community and was at one time a candidate for county clerk. After completing his school, work Mr. Keil was married in this city to Miss Evelyn May, of Beaver City, a member of the faculty of the local school. The fanyly later moved to Kan- "' sas City where they have since resided. ' ' Mr. Keil has for a great many' years held the position of man ager of the Walker Manufac-1'' turing Co., of Kansas City, Mo.-, in which position he was most successful. Three years ago he was taken ill and has been in failing health for the greater part of , the time. He was hospitalized for some time, then able to re:', turn to his home, after Christ mas his condition became more; severe and he was return- ' ed to the St. Margaret's Hos pital in Kansas City, Kans," whore he passed away. Surviving are the widow, Ev . lyn of Kansas City, Mo., one daughter, Sandra and one soif,' Dick, of Kansas City, his father Louis Keil of Plattsmouth and ' many relatives In this locality...
