At 0 a. m. last Sunday, the depart ment released 23 doe and 13 buck antelope on the Clyde Blake ranch 25 miles south of Basset in Rock County. M. O. From there the antelope were transported by truck to the Nebraska release point. Depot and Colorado Game and Fish Department pe rsonnel were praised for their part in the trapping-transpianting efforts. "Purpose of the releases in the sandhills," Steen said, "is to establish antelope once again in those range that are capable of carrying them. We hope to build up an antelope populat ion that is in keeping with the capacities of our range. A unif orm distribution of antelope ov er ail our habitable range is tho objective." Antelope are legal game in Nebraska., but their range is con fined to the western part of the state.
