Soflin Shurtinc First Lutheran Church Officers Are Installed Sunday, Janurary 5th the new ly elected officers of the First Lutheran Church were installed in their respective offices for the ensuing year. The officers for the year are: President, A. W. Huebner; vice-president, Fred Schroeder; secretary, Virgil Stander; trea surer, Robert Lockwood; Elder, Kenneth Tiekotter; Trustee, Lawrence Hones. During the impressive cere money words of gratitude were also expressed for the officers who so faithfully served during the past year. Texas Former Resident Chas. M. Parker Now In Oregon Charles M. Parker, for many years a resident of Plattsmouth, is now located at Grants Pass, Ore., and is having the Journal sent to his address. Mr. Parker was for a number of years fore man In the Burlington shops and will be recalled by many of the older employes. He still retains a grpat inter est in Plattsmouth and its peo ple as his old home. Shurtine Lassies Meet The Trl County Lassies met at the home of Georgia Ann Wagner Dec. 21, 1957, for their Christmas meeting. The roll call was to name different in gredients used in baking. Our loader, Mrs. Schildt, and Mrs. French demonstrated how to measure flour, shortening and sugar for good baking using le vel measurements. Our next meeting will be on Feb. 8, 1958, at the home of Terry Albrecht with a demons tration on how to make muffins. After the meeting we had a gift exchange, then played games. Mrs. Wagner served a delicious lunch.
