Eugene Ingram of Lincoln has been named to head the heart Fund Drive in Lincoln this year. Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Ford of Chicago, 111., are parents of a boy born Dec. 8 at a Chicago Hospital. He has not been nam ed as yet. He weighed seven pounds, one ounce. The Fords have four other children, two boys and two girls. Mrs. Ford was the former Beuih Alfrey. Mrs. Louis Buskirk has re ceived word that she has a new great granddaughter. A daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Hibbler of Omaha Dec. 8. They have one other child, a son, Jerry. Mrs. Hibb ler was the former Laura Belle Buskirk. The Woman's Society .of Chris tian Service held its regular meeting Dec. 5 at the Metho dist Church, with 31 present. As this was the 94th birthday of Mrs. Mary Group friends broughtcakes. Reports were given by Mrs. Gertrude Koop and Mrs. Mary Amelang. The Society had pre pared a lunch at the time of Mrs. Jacobson's funeral. In ap preciation they gave the Soci ety a cash gift. Thsi will be put in the Methodist Church Memorial Fund. Mrs. Elsa Ja cobson, a beloved member, who recently passed away, will be greatly missed. Mrs. Ruth Hoffman had the lesson. The subject was "You Are My Witnesses," dealing South Bend Mrs. Jess Fidler Phone Ashland 4-8646. The teachers Miss Carol Brunner and Mrs. Murray and the pupils of South Bend School will present their Christmas pro gram at the Town Hall Friday evening at 8. Everyone Ls wel come. The Church School Christmas program was given Sunday eve ning at the Town Hall. A good crowd was in attendance. Mr. and Mrs. Emanuel 'Bol den and family spent Friday with Pete and Dwayne Ball at Wahoo. with missionary work at home and in India. Cuba, Belgian Congo and Korea. The Hostes ses, Mrs. Bedella Stander and Mrs. Mary Amelang served re freshments at the close of the meeting. Next meeting will be Dec. 19. Thsi will be a Christ mas party. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Ahl were supper guests Sunday evening at the E. N. Ahl home. Wednesday guests of Mrs. Larry Carnicle were S. F. Mor ris of Ashland, Mrs. Rolland Hostetter of Murray and Mrs. Tom Robbins of Louisville. Carl Hofmeister has entered a hospital at Sedalia, Mo., for treatment and will submitt to major surgery on his leg this week.
