Friday afternoon they visited Mrs. Giles' sister, Mrs. Ola Davi.s at the Ebeler Nursing Home, Elinwood. Mrs. Victor riunkett Sr., is a patient at St. Josephs Hospital, Omaha. Mrs. riunkett has a birthday, Nov. 20. Mr. and Mrs. R. N. Ward and Kont spent tne weekend at Craig. They attended a game Friday evening and were over night guests of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Sehroeder and Stephanie and were overnight guests Sat urday of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Davis Richard Norris were guests Wed nesday afternoon of the Junior Womans Club at Louisville. Mr. and Mrs. Guy Mur doch visited Mr. and Mrs. Harry Lynch at Summer Saturday afternoon. They were overnight guests Saturday of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Diedrichsen and family at Ravenna and returned home Sunday afternoon. Dinner guests Wednesday eve ning of the Melvin Strums were Mrs. Marion Tucker and Miss Wilda Mitchell. In the evening Mrs. R. R. Andersen, Mrs. Charlotte Niday, Mrs. George Pollard. Mrs. Neil Pierce, Miss Hansen and Mrs. Vance Bal tour joined them fqr cards. The Methodist Sunday school superintendent, Mrs. Ned Nutz mann, and her assistant, Mrs. Deane Nutzman, met with the teachers at the church Wednes day afternoon. Mrs. Wilmer Harshman was a hostess Tuesday when the W.S. C.S. of the Weeping Water Methodist church met. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Pleuller and Frank Hogue, Omaha; Mr. and Mrs. Roland Hogue went to Has tings Sunday to visit Mrs. Ruth Ketelhut. Mrs. Ketelhut shows a marked improvement. Mrs. Paul Hall and Paulette, Malvern, la., were recent guests of Mr. and Mrs. William Getch ius. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Johnson and family, Union, were dinner guests Sunday of the Henning Johnsons. Mr. and Mr. Albert Stoll Cha dron, were guests last week of Mr. and Mrs. John Chandler and Barbara. Mr. and Mrs. El mer Stoll. They also visited Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Kime, Alvin McReynolds, Mr. and Mr. Will iam Waldo, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Kropp, Mrs. Sarah Kroop, Mrs. Mary Wessel, Miss Bessie Mur doch, Mr. and Mrs. Wellman Nixon. Harry Knabe observed his guests were Mr. and Mrs. Ed Gansemer, Mr. and Mrs. John Knabe Jr., Joe Huber and Mrs. Amelia Heldt. In the evening Harry Knabe, Mr. and Mrs. El mer Fitch. Mr. and Mrs. John Knabe, Joe Huber and Mrs. Hel dt were dinner guests of the Ar nold Yearsley of Dunbar, Mr. and Mrs. George Dickman brought Mrs. Walter Little home from Lincoln General Hospital Friday when she had eye sur gery. Her condition is improved. Dinner guests of Dr. and Mrs. R. R. Andersen and Gary at Steinhart Lodge Friday evening were Miss Wilda Mitchell. Mr. and Mrs. Marion Tucker. Dr. and Mrs.-R. R. Andersen attended the game at Lincoln Saturday and later were guests at the wedding of Miss Donna Karnopp and Donald Tomes at Utica. Mrs. Robert Ackley left last Tuesday for the east coast and sailed Monday for Nuremburg, Germany to join her husband, who is in the service. Dan Anderson returned home Friday from Huron and Clark: SD. where he attended the fun eral services Wednesday of his cousin, Ephram Anderson, at Huron. Burial was at Wllla Lake He visited for two days with Mr. and Mrs. Eric Lindland at Clark. Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Anderson were called to Dunbar Monday due to the death of her grand mother, Mrs. Heiser who was 86. Mr. and Mrs. George Teller and Nancy, Lexington, were weekend guests of the Vance Balfours. Mr. and Mrs. Wilber Ringler and Susan, Manhatten, Kans., came Friday evening to spend the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. John Tyson and family. Satur day Mr. and Mrs. Ringler and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Dierking of Otoe were in Lincoln. Sa',urday evening a family oyster supper included Mrs. Arnold French and children, Plattsmouth; Mr. and Mrs. Carl Dieking and Cin dy, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Tyson and family, Otoe; Mr. and Mrs. Malcolm Pollard and family and Mr. and Mrs. Ringler and Susan. Bill Jameson, University stu dent, was home for the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Bud Chriswisser Plattsmouth; Dick Meisinger, Omaha, were guests Sunday of the Roy Chriswissers. Mr. and Mrs. John Dale and family, Omaha, were weekend guests of the John Eatons. Mar vin Hoback and Micheal, Platts mouth; Rivard Schanot, Union Mrs. Charlotte Schomaker join ed them for Sunday dinner. Jack Franke, Murray, was an overnight guest Sunday of Mar vin Edmonds. Mr. and Mrs. Ivan Hansen and family were dinner guests Sun day of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Ross Mr. and Mrs. Roland Hogue and daughters were guests Thur day evening of the Dayle John sons, Lincoln. Mr. and Mrs. Ce cil Murdoch and family were supper guests Friday of the Ho gues. Dr. and Mrs. L. N. Kunkel. Weeping Water, were dinner guests Sunday of Mrs. Ona Kun kel. Mrs. Fred Hansen attended the game at Lincoln Saturday with Mrs. Henry Hild. Mr. and Mrs. Jim Strum and family spent the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Metcalf, Lincoln and Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Sturm. They were snowed In and stayed over un til Tuesday. Mr. Sturm made a business trip to Omaha and Lin coln. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Sturm were called to Calatonia Satur day morning due to the illness of her father. H. W. Steinmeyer. He was taken to the hospital at Crete. Mr. and Mrs. Sturm at tended the game at Lincoln Sat urday afternoon. Carol Reys was crowned Homecoming Queen and Jim Greg, king at the coronation following the game last Tuesday. Their attendents were Jane Dle tl, Connie Dietl, Gloria Reys, Judy Attebury, Richard Dickman John Stanley, Don Uhe and Ted Brannon. They were led in by Leonard Garrett, last years king and Betty True, who substituted for Darlene Murdoch, last years queen. There was a dance at the school following the cere mony. The Junior class play schedul ed for Nov. 22 has been postpon ed indefinitely due to the ill ness of the director, Mrs. Caro- ! lyn Oelerking, who has the mumps. I There was no school Monday and Tuesday dive to the snow storm. Troy Bradley, Jane Dietl, and Judy Surface took the Regents exams the past week. i Keith Stone, son of Mr. and ' Mrs. Richard Stone was four , Monday. Sunday evening a party for him at the home of his i grandmother, Mrs. Fern Thoreir at Weeping Water included, Keith and his parents and broth ers, Mr. and Mrs. Chester Stone j and Carol, Mrs. R. B. Stone and her guest, Mrs. Bertha Stone, Mrs. Marion Hoback and Mr. and Mrs. Francis Thoren and family. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Stone and family moved recently to the tenant house on the Neil Pierce farm.
