Mr. Wood was a veteran of World War 1, serving in the celebrated Rain bow Division In France. He was born March 7, 1898 in the vicinity of Rock Bluffs and since reaching manhood has lar gely made his home in that com munity until moving to Platts mouth. He was son of Joseph and Sylvia Libby Wood, early day residents. Mr. Wood was married Sept ember 13, 1928 at Plattsmouth to lreta Henry, who survives his passing. Mr. Wood was a member of the St. John's Roman Catholic Church of this city. During his lifetime, he was largely engaged in construction work up until the last few years when ill health had largely com pelled his retirement. ' Surviving are the widow, lreta, Plattsmouth, four daughters, Mrs. Jaunita Larson, Mrs. Ne oma Robinson, Mrs. Patricia Baburek, Mrs. Doris Regner, all of Plattsmouth; one son, Amel Wood, Empire, Ore.; brother, Floyd Wood, Plattsmouth; two sisters, Mrs. Florence Triggs, Plattsmouth, Mrs. Stella Wiles, Weeping Water; ten grandchil dren. Three brothers preceded him in death . Funeral services will be at 9 a. m. Saturday at St. John's Church, Msgr. Joseph Przud zik celebrating the mass. Inter ment will be at the Oak Hill cemetery. Hugh J. Kearns post American Legion will hold graveside services. Rosary will be Friday evening at 8 o'clock at Caldwell-Linder Chapel. Memorials may be made to the St. John's school fund.
