Mrs. Anna F'i fer, Sunday afternoon. Mrs. Grace Copple of Alvo called at the Anna Fifer home Saturday afternoon. Both Eagle Rrain elevators have been serving the farmers with their truck, trailers and pickups. It has been a busy street since July 5. Rain didn't delay the harvest this season, but it is badly needed and would be welcomed now by all. Wheat test and yield were very good, consquently box cars were in demand most of the time. Several young folks from In termediate Methodist Youth Fel lowship went to Youth Camp Jef ferson at Fairburv, Sunday aft ernoon and will return Friday evening. Those from Eagle were Marcia Ronhovde, Arnold West lake and John Moss. The group were taken by Mr. and Mrs. John Ronhovde Jr.. in their sta tion wagon. Margaret and Becky Sommers of Pleasant Dale visited their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Si las Cantley, during last week. They are the daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Chester Sommers. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Walker and daughter, Jeanette, return ed home Saturday evening after enjoying a trip and vacation to visit relatives at Lynch, in the northern part of the state. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Muenchau received word from their son, M-Sgt and Mrs. Eugene Muen chau, now residing in California. The Sergeant will soon be leav ing on a military tour of Hawaii, Manila. Japan, Guam and Wake. He will be gone a couple of weeks. Siekman spent Fri day at Elm wood, visiting her sister, Mrs. Lena Fischer, and' Mary. Etho Mack Is now recovering quite satisfactorily after ,suf-; fcring a severe heart attack! Tuesday at Lincoln. He is at the St. Elizabeth Hospital. i Arthur Schmieding is enroute' to St. Louis, Mo., where he will be located, visited his brother, Mr. and Mrs. Orville Schmied-. ing and family a few days lasti week. Mr. and Mrs. Billy Ketelhut returned recently from a 10-day trip through Colorado, where they visited friends and rela tives. They attended a wedding dinner at Idaho Springs with Mr. and Mrs. Carl Ewerth , Denver, Colo. The guests, Mr. and Mrs. Ketelhut were attendants at Mr. and Mrs. Ewerth's wedding 46 years ago. Eagle friends have received word of Delmar Genuchi's death at Bennet. He was 73. Funeral services were held on Wednes day a the Bennet Community Church with Rev. E. L. Gustaf son officiating. Survivors are his wife, Alvera, daughter, Mrs. Lela Glover of Bennet, sons, Ivan of Washing ton, D. C: Marvin of Baton Rouge, La.; sisters, Mrs. Rosa Hendricks, and Mrs. Minnie Kin nison, both of Bennet. Seven grandchidren. 1 Ed Ne-eman became suddeny ill Wednesday and was taken im mediately to the hospital where it was found that he suffered a broken blood vessel near his heart and will be under doctors care for sometime and unable to work for several weeks. He re turned home Monday. Roy McBridc Of Union Dies Of Heat Stroke Roy McBridc, 60, of Union, died at 6 p. m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Hospital in Nebraska City, following a heat stroke suffered at the Wilson concrete plant south of Omaha two hours earlier. Mr. McBride was born in Con ception, Mo., lived in the Union community since 1932. He never married. He served in World War 1 in France and had been an active member of the Union American Legion post. Survivors are a number of brothers and sisters.
