Fischer and sons. They were privileged to visit the early river town historic places, including the old main street, which is at the very edge of the Mississippi River and the new river bridge can be seen a block from that particular area The Old Hotel, almost black in color, stands on the corner with its iron posts and long porch top. The inside was left unchan ged. The first church ( Metho dist i built west of the Mississipi is 151 years old. On the return home they trav eled the Ozark Mountain High way, visiting such interesting places as the Merrimac Springs, Bridal Pathway, Lake Killarney and farmsteads. One farmer was seen culti vating with mules. The crops looked good, plenty of rain. In southern Missouri, cotton fields were being tended and looked similar to corn fields in Nebras ka. An overnight visit was enjoy ed nt the former Eagle folks, Orville Pitzer's nt Humiston, la. They are fine and interest ed In hearing of Eagle friends. Crops looked especially good. During the weekend, their son, Billy Pitzer's of DeWitt, la., were at the parents home. He is employed with a Hybrid Seed Corn Co.. at Dewitt. They have two small daughters. Colorado Woman Struck By Pole On REA Truck Mr. and Mrs. George A. As kew, Erie, Colo., were injured in an automobile accident two miles south of the Murray cor ner on No. 73-75 Friday. The Askew auto traveling north, ran into a utility pole on an Eastern Nebraska REA dis trict pole truck. The pole broke the windshield of the car and struck Mrs. As kew in the face. The truck was being driven north by Duane Ronnau of Syracuse. The accident took place when the REA truck slowed to make a right turn. Mr. Askew did not stop soon enough and his car ran into the pole. Robert Wilson. Nebraska City, was first on the scene of the accident. He gave Mrs. Askew, 70, first aid and took her onto Murray to the office of Dr. R. W. Tyson. It was found that she had cuts on the inside of her mouth. Mr. Askew was less ser iously injured. Death Of Henry E. Hcil, Louisville Funeral services were held Friday alVrnoon at 2 p. m. at the Immanuel Lutheran Church at Louisville, Mr. Henry E. Ileil, 72, lifelong resident of that por tion of Cnss County. Mr. Hell was the son of Mr. and Mrs. George P. Ileil, pio neer residents of Cass County, and has resided in the commun ity there through the years. He has been engaged in farming until seven years ago when he retired from active work clue to failing- health. He was married at Louisville to Miss Wilhelmina Jochim who survives the passing of the hus band and father. Other survivors are: three daughters, Mrs. Sel ma Johnson, Louisville, Mrs. Mildred Ault, Cedar Creek; Mrs Florine Ashbacher. Omaha; one son, Wilbur, Cedar Creek; ten grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Louis Urish, Weeping Water and Mrs. Katherine Group, Louis ville. Rev. Lyle Mueller, pastor of the church, conducted the ser vice. Interment was at Imman uel Cemetery with relatives as casket bearers, John Group, Harold Stohlmann. Albert Joch im, Calvin Jochim. The Fusselman Funeral Home was in charge of the funeral.
