The Session owned formally on Monday evening in the City Auditorium. There were approx imately 500 girls and 200 adults registered. The exemplification of the Ini tiation Ceremonv was held on Tuesday night with eight girls from Alliance being initiated. This was followed by an address by Mrs. Haven Smith, Chappell. A memorial service was held for deceased Job's Daughters and Council members. We were very sorry to report one of our own council members. Henry F. Noltin, who passed away on January 2. 1957. A brunch was held for the girls on Tuesday morning with names being drawn for Grand Bethel Officers and Grand Beth el Representatives. Betty Mor ris' name was drawn for the Grand Representative to Michi gan. Election was held for the adult council on Tuesday afternoon with Mrs. Dora Eckert. Omaha, being elected Grand Guardian, Mr. Julian Bvers, David City, Associate Grand Guardian, Mrs. Irene Beyer, Scottsbluff, Vice Grand Guardian. Mr. Myrl Moxham, Lincoln, Vice Associ ate Grand Guardian. Mrs. Doris Benson, Norfolk. Grand Secret ary Mrs. Bessie Morris, Alliance, Grand Treasurer, Mrs. Marguar ette Zaneger, Ord, Grand Guide and Mrs. Ruby Lancaster, Mur ray, Grand Marshall. Installation was held on Wed nesday afternoon for both the girls and adults. The 37th annual Grand Council Session, Interna tional Order of Jobs Daughters will be held in Omaha in June 1958. By Margaret Dingman Phone 241 Mr. and Mrs. August Kief and family of Pekin, 111., arrived here Saturday to enjoy a visit with William Kief, father of Au gust and other relatives. Mrs. Leo Nichols and family of Crystal Springs, 111., arrived Saturday to visit at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Estil Jenkins and family. Mrs. Nichols is a sister of Mr. Jenkins. Mr. and Mrs. Terrence Smith and family of Washington D. C, arrived Saturday afternoon to spend a week with Mrs. Smith's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Bierl, and other relatives. Mrs. Otto Puis entered the Methodist Hospital Tuesday for treatment. She is in room 413. Employees of the Journal of fice thoroughly enjoyed the ex quisite bouquet of red roses sent by Mr. and Mrs. Les Niel. The beautiful bouquet of Paul's Scarlet Roses were cut from their garden, a beautiful show place, which has been enjoyed by many for several years. Fathers Day Is Celebrated At The Spangler Home William SDangler's grandchil dren, great grandchildren, and part of his children gathered at the Elwin and William Spangler home on Father's Day. Among those present were Miss Louella Cobert, granddaughter of Great Falls, Mont., with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elburn Cobert. Lunch was served by Mrs. Aleta Baker and Mrs. Elwin Spangler to the 22 present. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Strough and Mrs. Rachel Strough of Falls City were weekend guests at the Frank Strough and Clarence Akeson homes. Police officer Fred Tesch and family departed today on a vacation trip to Arkan sas and Missouri. Mrs. Virginia L. Frady. Mott Frady of Spokane, Washington, Mr. and Mrs. Bud White of Lin coln, were supper guests Sun day evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bob White. The members of the Platts mouth Garden Club were to make a tour of local gardens to day, but due to the rainfall the tour was postponed. Mrs. John Kalasek. daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Roland Cooper, departed Satur day for Grand Island, to enjoy a visit for a few days with rela tives and friends. Mrs. George M. Miller arriv ed with Glen Brittaln and daugh ters of Grover City. Calif.. Glen is here for his brother's funeral. Mrs. Howard Dow of this city and the Bernard Dow family of Lincoln returned home Sunday night from a 17 day vacation trip to California, returning home via Tuscon, Ariz. Mr. and Mrs. Perry Dingman and children were Sunday guests of the Robert Dingman family at Scranton, la. Mr. and Mrs. Gayle Rhoden were hosts at dinner Wednesday night honoring Mrs Earl Terry berry and Mrs. Mae Martin of California, who are visiting here. Mrs. Margaret Love, son and daughter have moved to Plattsmouth from their home in Houston, Tex. C. E. Markam and wife and family, arrived Saturday for a visit here with Mr. and Mrs. Fred H. Vincent, parents of Mrs. Markham. Memories Of The Class Of 1907 Is Relived Again Mrs. Louis Ward Egenberger of this city has a remembrance of the graduating class of the Plattsmouth High School of fifty years ago. This is an Invitation to the commencement exercises of the school, held Thursday June 6th at the Parmele theatre in this city. At that time the high school was housed in a one story brick building, erected in 1900, east and south of the present Central building. Owing to the lack of space, school entertainments and formal events were held at one of the hails of the city or the theatre. The program of the exercises was as follows: Invocation. Rev A. L. Janice Wiles Dance Instructor Will Present Revue The pupils of Janice Wiles will present a dance revue entitled "Enchanted Candyland" at the Plattsmouth High School Audi torium, Tuesday, June 18th at 8 p.m. Thirty-nine pupils will take part in the revue which promises to be a colorful program show ing the excellent talent of the young people of this community. An admission of thirty-five cents will be charged the public Former Residents Enjoy Visit Here Mr. and Mrs. Rov Boyd, for mer residents of Plattsmouth were here Thursday to visit few hours with relatives and friends. They are now residents of Spokane, Wash., having made their home in that part of the west for the past years. i Mr. and Mrs. Boyd have been celebrating their fiftieth wedding anniversary by a motor trip that has carried them through some twenty-eight states. Mr. and Mrs. Boyd are natives here. Roy the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Boyd, now deceased, and Mrs. Boyd will be remem bered here as the former Ger tie Kunsmann. daughter of Mr and Mrs. Fred Kunsmann. While in Plattsmouth they were guests of Mr. and Mrs. John Carmack and Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Yelick. Mrs. Boyd is a cousin of Mrs. Carmack and an aunt of Mrs. Yelick. BIRTHS Son Born to Mr. and Mrs. Paul Keil of this city, a son, Timothy Carl, weight seven pounds and nine ounces. Saturday, June 15 at St. Joseph Hospital, Omaha Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. August P. Kell of Allen Nebr., and Judge and Mrs. J. H. Graves of this city. Incidently this is the fifteenth grandson for Judge and Mrs. Graves. Daughter Mr. and Mrs. Darrell Mather of Weeping Water are parents.of a daughter, born June 15th, at St. Mary's Hospital at Ne braska City. Mrs. Mather is the former Norma Emshoff . Rendcvouz Broken Several unknown persons, in cluding a woman, last night were Ifrightened from an apparent rendevouz in a used car by the appearance of Andy Anderson. But a purse containing the name of of a Council Bluffs resi dent, which may have belonged to the woman was left behind and today Sheriff Tom Solomon is checking its ownership. The eldest couple was Mr. and Mrs. John Buchholz of Palmyra, married 53 years. The youngest couple present was Mr. and Mrs. Gary Knight of Omaha. Marcla McCoy of Lincoln was the youn gest child present and the fam ily coming the longest distance was Mr. and Mrs. Chester Brauckmuller of Denver, Colo. It was voted to have the re union next year at Antelope Park and each to bring some other relative with them. Attend Wedding Anniversary Sunday Sunday, Judge and Mrs. J. H. Burton and assisted them in the observance of their fortieth wedding anniversary. Mr. Burton is a brother of Mrs. Graves and well known in this part of Cass County.
