Miss Keafleng graduated from Glenvvood High School in 11)51, was a former Omaha model, and is now employed as a fashion model in Chicago. Mr. Jarman is the son of Doctor and .Mrs. Konald Jarman of London, England. Mr. Jarman graduated from Naval College in England and spent four years in the .British Navy, then four years with Lloyds of London and ar rived in the United States in October 1954. He is now an Underwriter for the Continental Casualty Co. in Chicago. The wedding date has been set for September 14th, at the First Methodist Church of Omaha. Marriage Licenses Issued, One Couple Married, June 14th Marriage licenses were issued in Cass County Court by Judge Case to Thomas Conis and Eve lyn E. Henry, both of Platts mouth and Loye L. Bouton. Pollock and daughter, Mrs. Alice Perry were hosts Thursday evening at the family home at dinner. Guests were the Reverend and Mrs. Keith Delap and children, Steven, Paula and David; the Reverend Joe Burr, pastor of the Murray and Cedar Creek Pres byterian Churches. Also attending the dinner party were Mrs. Dean Morrison and daughter, Laura Jean. Dcbra Lee Barnard Celebrates Birthday Dcbra Lee Brnard. daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Barnard, celebrated her first birthday, June 8th. Eighteen guests helped the little one celebrate. At the close of the day, ice cream was ser ved by the hostesses, Mrs. Jack Barnard, Mrs. Art Helwig and Miss Beverly Sprieck. Ploog-Dankleff Rites At Cedar Falls, Iowa Miss Mary Ann Ploog, daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs, Irvin C. Ploog and Richard E. Dankleff, of Cedar Falls. Ia., were united in marriage in a quiet cere mony which took place at 1:30 Sunday afternoon at the home of the bride's parents. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Dankleff of Avoca. The Reverend David R. Bluhm, head of the religious education department at Iowa State Teach ers College, officiated at the double ring ceremony. Vows were exchanged against a floral background which featured yel low roses, carnations and glad ioli. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a waltz length gown of white chiffon over yellow organdy, styled with a basque waist and sabrina neck line. She wore a short circular veil of white chiffon caught to a flower trimmed tiara and car ried a colonial bouquet of roses. Miss Janet DuBois. attended the bride as maid of honor. The bridegroom was attended by Wil liam Kerwin of Ripon, Wise. The wedding reception at which relatives and close friends were entertained, was held at the . home following the cere mony. Mr. and Mrs. 'Dankleff will leave later this week to spend the summer in the New Eng land states. After September 1 they will be at home at 2221 Olive Street. Cedar Falls, Ia. The bride who was graduat ed from the Cedar Falls High School in 1054 is a senior stu dent at Iowa State Teachers Col lege. Mr. Dankleff, who is an instructor in the English Depart ment at Iowa State Teachers College received his BA degree from Columbia University in New York Citv and his MA de gree from the University of Nebraska. Kay Umland Married Recently To Albert Thurston In Walton EAGLE (Special) Miss Kay Umland of Facie and Albert Thurston of Lincoln were mar ried May 25 at the home of Reverend Foster Cress in Wal ton. The 9:30 a. m. ceremony was read by Reverend Cress in the presence of Miss Joyce Westfall and Recder Bowlby. The couple left immediately t after the ceremony on an ex- tended trip to Colorado and Wyo 1 ming. The bride is a 1957 graduate , of the Eagle High School and the bridegroom is a 1957 graduate of Peru State Teachers College and will take up his teaching position at the Nehawka High School this fall. On Sunday, June 9, a wedding reception was held at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elwin Umland near Facie. i The bride was dressed in a ' brown sheath dress and wore a corsage of roses. Bridal Couple Takes Denver Trip Mr. and Mrs. Herman Royer of Talmadge, left on their wed ding trip to Denver, Colo., Mon day evening after their wedding at St.' Paul's Lutheran Church in Talmadge. The Rev. D. Scholl pastor of the church officiated at the candlelight ceremony. The church was decorated with gladioli and Candelabra. Don and Allen Bischoff were candle-lighters. The bride is the former Mar lene Kock, daughterof Mr. and Mrs. Hans Kock. of Talmage, and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Royer of Talmage. The bride's wedding gown was floor-length of imported chan t illy lace and nylon tulle over slipper satin. It was fashioned with a molded bodice featuring a peter pan collar and long sleeves tapering to a deep point over the hand. The matching lace extended over the hipline and fell into points over the full bouffant skirt. Her fingertip veil of imported French illusion was held with a coronet of lace. Matron of honor was Mrs. Ar nold Bischoff and the brides maid was Miss Ila Jane Goch enour. The matron of honor's and the bridesmaid's dresses were fashioned alike. Best man was Richard Royer and the ushers were Arnold Bis choff and William Gochenour. Other attendants were Bill Roy er, groomsman, Carol Bischoff, flower girl and Glen Gochenour, ring bearer. A reception was held follow ing the ceremony. Miss Elsie Sothmann presided at the guest book and Lynn and Alberta Volk mer and Lorene Teten at the gift table. The bride is a 1956 graduate of Talmage high school. The bridegroom is a 1955 graduate of Brock High School and is the assistant manager of the Hinky Dinky store in Nebraska City. He attended Plattsmouth Schools1 moving to Talmage with his parents, in 1953. The couple will be at home in Nebraska City, after June 17. Lincoln Girl To Wed Harold Demaree Mr. 'Ind Mrs. George Jacobs of Lincoln, are announcing the marriage of their daughter. Bev erly Jean, to Harold Lloyd De maree, son of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Demaree of Plattsmouth. Miss Jacobs is a graduate of the University of Nebraska where she is a member of Gam ma Phi Beta Sororitv. Her fi ance will enter the University of Nebraska College of Dentistry in the fall. He is affiliated with Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity The couple plans an August wedding. Mrs. Raymond Adkins called early Sunday morning to wish Earl Redd, her father, a happy Father's Day. Serving were Mrs. William Um land and Mrs. Dwiglit Earl and Mrs. Carl Oberle pouring. Mrs. Dale Herrold was in charge. The j bride's classmates. Joyce West i fall and Kathryn Stubbendick lu'esided at the gift table, as sisted by Judy Oberle, cousin of the bride. Mrs. E. J. Morton had charge of the guest book. Bruce Carolyn Robinson, Bruce Jacobs Married In Methodist Church The First Methodist Church of Plattsmouth was the beautiful setting, June 16th, of the wedding of Miss Carolyn Marie Robinson and Bruce V. Jacobs. Parents of the couple are Mrs. Robert Brittain, Plattsmouth, Lloyd Rob inson, Bellflower, Calif., and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Jacobs, of Plattsmouth. The Reverend E. S. DeSpain, pastor of the church, officiated at the eight o'clock in the eve ning wedding service in the pres ence of 200 guests. Baskets of white gladioli and lighted tapers decorated the al tar and red roses lined the choir railing. Mrs. George Jacobs, organist, accompanied John Jacobs, solo ist, as he sang "Because," "Thine Alone" and "The Lords Prayer." 1 Lighting the tapers were Miss Barbara Brittain. sister of the bride and Miss Sherry Simons, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray mond Simons. They wore dress es of rose embossed nylon over rose taffeta. Joan and Janell Jacobs, twin daughters of Mr. and Mrs. George Jacobs, were flower girls. Dressed in pink nylon frocks they scattered rose pet als in the church aisle. The bride, .given in marriage by her grandfather, Roy Tay lor, chose a floor length gown of embroidered chantilly lace over shimmering satin. The Sabrina neckline of scalloped lace was a dorned with scattered sequins. The long sleeves tapered over the hand and the pointed bodice was fashioned in princess lines. From a lace and seed pearl ti ara, fell the bride's waist length illusion veil edged in delicate Coffee Honors Mrs. Katherine Stapp Mrs. Katherine Stapp was hon ored Thursday at a farewell "coffee", given by Mrs. Rob ert Knisley at Nebraska City. The event was held at the Stein hart Park Lodge. Twenty guests were present to honor their friend. Mrs. Stapp and children, Kathy and Mike an; leaving Nebraska City the last of June to make their home in Plattsmouth. where Mrs. Stapp's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Karl Grosshans re side. Social Workers Meet At Kahler Home . The Social Workers Flower Club met at the home of Mrs.i Orval Kahler with Mrs. William Williams assisting. The meeting was opened with "The Lord's Prayer." It was decided to have the club picnic at the home of Mrs. Art Mohr. July 7. Each family to bring a picnic lunch and her own dishes. Miss Betty Wallace of Wahoo was matron of honor and brides maids were Miss Linda Brittain, sister of the bride, and Miss Ka ren Jacobs, sister of the bride groom. They wore pale pink chiffon over crimson talfeta frocks. The square neckline ex tended to a V in the dress back. The very bouffant skirts flared from the long torso. They wore matching hats and carried cas cade bouquets of red carnations. Art Armburst of Omaha was best man and ushers were Wal ter Jaeckle, Lincoln and Steve Davis, of Omaha. Basket of red peonies decor ated the church parlors for the wedding reception. Mrs. D. L. Grove, assisted by the Dorcas Circle, had charge of the reception. Mrs. Lowell McQuin and Miss Darlene Ja cobs served the cake; Mrs. Mar lys Ballard of Lincoln served punch and Mrs. George Jacobs poured coffee. Miss Jeanine Newton tended the guest book and Miss Nancy Baldwin. Hebron, and Miss Judy Dearing, Bellevue, had charge of the gifts. For the wedding trip to Colo rado, the bride chose a blue polished cotton sheath dress with white accessories. The couple attended Platts mouth schools. Mrs. Jacobs en tered Nebraska Wesleyan Uni versity following graduation where she is a member of the Willard Sororitv. Mr. Jacobs is a University of Nebraska grad uate this year where he is a member of Thcta Xi Fraternity. They wlil make their home in Plattsmouth and after July 31, will move to Fort Lee.
