The board of equalization again will convene at 10 a. rn. Tues day for the purpose of receiving complaints from taxpayers which have been filed with the county clerk. Sessions are held In the com mission's courthouse, offices. Reunion of Members of Mrasek Family The members of the Joe Mra sek family are enjoying & re union here at the farm home of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Mrasek. near Murray, bringing together the children to be with the moth er and enjoying the opportunity to meet each other. All of the children, with the exception of one son, W. E. Mrasek, was able to be here for the visit. The mother, who is making her home with her daughter and son-ln-l;4w, Mr. and Mrs.Wll 11am Lindner, at San Pedro, Calif., accompanied them here lor th,e event. Mr. and Mrs. George Rothrock of Kansas City, Mo., Mr. and Mrs. Robert Mra sek, of Des Moines, Mr. and Mrs. V. F. The quartet is composed of Carol Davis, Mary Ann Ryan, Sharon Harbaugh and Rae Mae Henry. Under the direction of Mrs. Imogene Bridges who also acts as accompanist, the quartet took second place in the senior division in district competition at Millard. Miss Fauquet won first place in the Intermediate division. Contestants will be accom panied to Gerlng by Mr. and Mrs. Paul Fauquet and Dr. and Mrs. W. V. Ryan. Both Fau quet and Dr. Ryan also will act as delegates to the convention. Other delegates from Platts mouth are Ray Storey, Cecil Karr and Ed Ernst. While delegates to the con vention will begin arriving in Gerlng Saturday and the con test is slated Sunday, business sessions will not be held until Monday. Mr. and Mrs. John Liddlck and son, Tommie, have moved from this city to Bellevue to make their home. Mr. Liddick returned from a tour of duty with the army in December. James Graves, Jr., of Calif ornia, arrived this morning by plane to be here for the funeral services of his friend, 'Gene Dasher, a former school mate. Falls City Man To Face Count Of Non-Support LOUISVILLE Omer E. Jar rett, Falls City, this morning was returned there to face char ges of failure to pay support money to his ex-wife and chil dren. Jarrett was arrested in Louis ville Sunday night by Officer Clyde Jackson who turned him over to Cass County Sheriff Tom Solomon. Solomon earlier had issued a pickup order for Jarrett. Death of Mrs. Dora Reisterof Murdock Mrs. Dora Reister, 63, Mur dock, one of the well known and Dopular residents of Cass County passed away Friday at her home. Survivors are: husband, Frank, two daughters, Mrs. Irene Puis, Manley, Mrs. Dorothy Roever, Murdock, four grandchildren. Services were Sunday at 3:30 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Louisville, Rev. Mrs. Alvin Linder has return ed home from the Methodist Hospital in Omaha where she underwent an appendectomy last week. Attorney Harold Elliott of Weep ing Water was in the city Sat urday to look after some matters at the court house. Mr. and Mrs. Maynard Hobbs, of Lyman, O., are in the city to enjoy an outing with their rela tives, Mrs. C. F. Ault. and with Mr. and Mrs. M. H. Hobbs, as well as old friends. Professor Raymond J. Pool and wife of Lincoln surprised his cousin, Mrs. F. R. Cunning ham of Nehawka on her birth day, May 25, and the cousins had a most enjoyable visit. Mrs. Frank Itebal entered the Clarkson Hospital Sun day for observation and sur gery. She is in room 809. Jay Babbitt, four year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Naason Babbitt of Pacific Junction, la., has been seriously ill in Chlldrens Memorial Hospital with virus pneumonia. His grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. D. M. Babbitt, report that the little one Is out of danger and may be released today from the hospital. Methodist Church School In Session For Two Weeks Church school at the Metho dist church Is now In progress with classes from 9 a. m. to 11:15 a. m. Monday through Fri day with the exception of Mem orial Day, from May 27 through June 7. Mrs. James Keith, chairman of Christian Education said the theme for the church schoor'ls "The Bible." Teachers are: kindergarten, Mrs. Donald Grove and Mrs. Tex Catron; first grade, Mrs. Ar nold French; second grade, Mrs. Harold Hamilton and Mrs. Rich ard Collins; third grade, Mrs. E. S. DeSpain; fourth grade, Mrs. Walter Welsh; fifth grade, Mrs. Darwin Hoover; sixth grade Miss Joe Bowen: seventh grade, Miss Mildred Hall and eighth grade, Mrs. Bill Murdock. Journal Want Ads Pay Mary Campbell Old Resident Is Called To Rest Mrs. Mary Campbell, resident of Plattsmouth for the past thir ty years, died Saturday evening, May 25th at the Riverview Nurs ing Home following an illness of a year and a half. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Herman Groves, Mrs. Alice Hilliker, both of Plattsmouth; son, Clyde Lau, Los Angeles; four sisters, Mrs. Dewey Reed, Plattsmouth; Mrs. Ida Mont gomery, South Sioux City, Neb., Mrs. Jay White, Lincoln; Mrs. John Randolph, Eagle; and five grandchildren, and one great grandchild. She was born May 12, 1892 at Unadilla, Neb., to August and Willamena Scheer Speth. She was married to Andrew T. Camn bell, who passed away April 18, 1946 at Plattsmouth. Mrs. Campbell has been a resident of Plattsmouth for the past thirty years and has a large circle of friends in the com munity where she has made her home since 1927. She was a member of the Lutheran Church since childhood. Funeral services will be" held Wednesday at 2 p. m. at the chapel of ,the Caldwell-Linder Funeral Home, Rev. G. E. Sey bold, officiating. Interment will be at Oakhill Cemetery with Earl Alexander, Julius Kalasek, Edward Kohrell, P. C. Patterson, Bronson Timm and Delbert Young, pall bearers.
