Beverage, one ol the prominent and popular stu dents of the Plattsmouth High School, has been honored by Colgate University of Hamilton, N. Y., in being selected as a winner of the Alumni Memorial scholarship of the school. There were 1,800 applicants for the scholarship, these being screened by the nlumni commit tee and the committee of the college. From these, forty were selected for the coveted honor, the highest recognition that can be given a freshman entering Colgate. The scholarship has a value of $1,100 and will be continued each under graduate year so long as it is justified by aca demic standing, gentlemanly conduct and responsible partici pation in the life of the college.
