D. McKay of Palmyra and sons and wives, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Oerhard, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Gerhard, and Mr. and Mrs. Glcndon Ger-l hard with tilled baskets, enjoy ed a supper together. Later in the evening, Mr. and Mrs. Her man Klrchhoff and Mrs. A. H. Blckman called, to extend their best wishes. Mr. Gerhard Is en Joying good health and his many friends are extending their con gratulations. Mr. and Mrs. Willis Stubben- deck and family visited Mrs. Stubbendeck's parents, Mr. and, Sunday. He Is recovering satisfactorily and able to be up and around. Dr. and Mrs. Fred Goemann and daughter of Concordia, Mo., visited recently at Dr. Goe mann's cousin and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Zinsmaster. Two separate car accidents one west and other east edge of town happened during the windy day, hist Krid-iy. Neither of the car occupants, unknown, were seriously injured, though both accidents were turn-overs and the cars slightly damaged. Mr. and Mrs. O. L. Fischer, Jim and Debbie, of Madison, and Mrs. Fischer's parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Miller of Osceola, were Easier dinner guests at the hom-a of Mr. Fischer's par ents, Mr. and Mrs. John Fischer Mrs. John Rudolph, Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Reynoldsen and son, Ronald attended the 20th wedding anniversary of Mr. Reynoldsen's sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Robert McVlckers at North Bend, on Sunday, April 14th. Mrs. Fred Muenchau took quite 111 on Friday and the doc tor was called. We are glad to report she Is considerably im proved at this writing. Edward Fander, who under went knee surgery recently, had the cast removed and the fam ily spent the weekend at Diller, with relatives. William Bunter was taken ill at his home, on Thursday and was given medical attention, suf fering with a bronchial Infection. Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Deles Dernier and family from Colom bia, Mo., and son, Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Derner of Fontanelle, la., visited the former's sister. Mrs. Margaret Snokes and son, Dale, and Mrs. Deles Dernier's sister and family, Mr. and Mrs. H. N. Erskine, Jr., and daughters, re turning home Saturday after noon. The son, LeRoy Is agricul ture and science Instructor at Fontanelle. Fred Spohnle is still at the hospital at this writing and al so Fred Root and Fred Wen zel. The latter of Prairie Home, is well-known to Eagle folks, a brother of R. C. Wenzel and Mrs. Altina Butt. Mr. Spahnle Is a waiting the leg-cast removal. Mr. Root underwent surgery 3 rief weeks ago, and Mr. Wenzel suf fered a severe heart attack. All are recovering satisfactorily. On Thursday evening, the Ea gle Chapter of Eastern Star were invited to the Talmyra Chapter. Mrs. II. D. Fischer, Mrs. O. E. Underwood and Mrs. Ralph Ransford attended from Eagle and their husbands were the in vited guests to Greenwood chap ter for the evening. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Oldfield and family of Bennet, spent Eas ter Sunday at Mrs. Oldfield's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Zins master. Mrs. E. E. Moore of Weeping Water spent the weekend at the home of her daughter and hus band, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Rans ford. On Sunday afternoon, a son Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Moore and family, Archie nrozier, of Weep ing Water, called at the Rans ford home. Mr. Crozier had a recording machine and privileg ed the family a play record ing, sent to Mrs. Moore from an other son, Mr. and Mrs. Ermond Moore and 3 children, of Dar lington, Md.; who had a record ing made with messages from each of the family which was enjoyed very much by the home folks. Mr. Crozier also made a recording of the indi vidual voices to be sent back to Maryland, hoping to express their appreciation of the mes sages to them, as well. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Berg, Albion, visited Sunday at the home of Mrs. Berg's brother, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Reynoldsen and son. Superintendent and Mrs. Or ville Schmieding and family, spent last weekend at the home of Mrs. Schmleding's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Naber at York. Mr. and Mrs. Verlon Rum baugh and son, journeyed to Frankfort, Kans., Thursday eve ning and visited Mr. Kumbaughs parents, Rev. and Mrs. Rum baugh. returning home via Wy more, and visited Mrs. Rum baugh's mother, Mrs. Hugh Jones, arriving home Sunday. Miss Glenda Wall, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Wall re ceived an honor award and compensation as well (an iron ing board and a steamiron) for her sewing achievement, hav ing made a dress and purchased accessories which she entered in a style show, at Lincoln recently. She competed with 100 other contestants. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Rudolph are the parents of a baby girl born Sunday, April 21, at the Syracuse Community Hospital. The babe has a brother and sister awaiting her, at home. Mr. and Mrs. Dale Harold and family visited Mrs. Harolds parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Rocker at Seward Sunday.The grandsons, Mike and Danny re mained for a few days visit, with the grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. H. D. Fischer spent Easter Sunday at Mrs. Fischer's sisters, Mrs. Martha Mundtke, home at Milford. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Frohlich and family and 'Jake Frohlich, were dinner guests at Mrs. Fro hlich's parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. L. elites, Sunday. During the afternoon, the guests continued on to Lincoln, to visit Jake Froh lich's daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Read, for mer Eagle residents. Mr. and Mrs. Harley Smith accompanied their granddaugh ter and husband, Tech. Sgt. and Mrs. Arthur' Wade, and family of Lincoln to Ottawa. Kans., to visit Mrs. Wade's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Duffield. Mr. and Mrs. Lee Peters of Kansas City joined the parents, sister, and nieces, family for a family Easter dinner at noon. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Wall enter tained on Easter Sunday, their son, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Wall and family of Eagle, their grand daughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Orville Conner and daugh ter Gwen, of Lincoln, and Mrs. Harold Wall's mother, Mrs. Ma tilda Elseman also of Lincoln. Several Eagle youngsters who have a talent for art can well be proud, as their entries were accepted among the 400 out of 5,000 entries. To win recognition at the Art Exhibit in the Audi torium in Lincoln, are Billy Muenchau, son of Mr. and Mrs. Keith Muenchau, Terry Albrecht daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed ward Albrecht, and Cardie Schmidt daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Schmidt. Mr. and Mrs. Norman Mcin tosh, and Mr. and Mrs. Dale Oberle and Cindy of Lincoln, were dinner guests of the ladies parents, Mr. and Mrs. Claude Gerhard, Sunday. Richard Reveillac, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Reveillac, is in the Methodist Hospital with a severe case of virus infection on his face.He entered the hos pital last Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Smith, Sr., called Sunday to wish their children a Happy Easter. They are now living in Springfield, Ore., and are enjoying the weath er there. Paul Kay French visited her little friend Sheryl Henrikcen on Monday. The latter and fam ily are enjoying a visit from California at her grandparents, neighbors of the French family. Mr. and Mrs. Herman Klrch hoff visited Friday evening at Mr. Kirchhoff's mother, Mrs. Etta Klrchhoff and son, Mr. and Mrs. George Klrchhoff, all of Weeping Water. Commander and Mrs. Ray mond Sluyter have had to post pone their trip to Nebraska, to visit relatives, as Mrs. Sluyter is seriously ill In a hospital in Washington, D. C. with virus pneumonia. Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Pankonin and family of Plattsmouth were supper guests Sunday, April 21 at the home of Mrs. Alice Pan konin. In the afternoon, two of Mrs. Pankonin's sons and fam ilies called her and wished her a Happy Easter. They were Her bert and family of Philadelphia, enn., and Robert and family of Des Moines, la.
