Louisville Club Fetes Member On Birthday Don Wildrick Phone 2511 The Friendly Fourteen Club met at the home of Eva Blair on Tuesday evening, April 2. It was a combination birthday and pinochle party celebrating Vesta Urwin's birthday. All 14 members were present. The meeting was called to order by the president. Fern Johnson. After the business meeting ad journed, members opened gifts from their secret friends and the secret friend's name was re vealed. New secret friends were drawn again and these will not be revealed for six months. Bingo was played to celebrate Vesta's birthday. Vesta then opened her birth day cards. The rest of the even ing was spent playing pinochle. Schmader won high; Vesta Ur win won second high; Ruth Wool hiser won low; and Gen Schmad er, traveling prize. A lunch was served by host ess Eva Blair. The next meeting will be May 10, at the home of Fern John son, with another combination birthday and pinochle party, honoring Fern Johnson's and Tressa Gess's birthdays. Nora Larson News Reporter On Sunday, April 7, a dinner was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Philip Hell of Louis ville, in honor of their sons, Gor don Dean, who is home visiting from Spokane, Wash., and How ard, who is leaving for the ser vice Monday, April 8. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Dick Tritsch and Tommy, and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Engel kemeier all of Murray; Mrs. Otto Lutz and Marylln, Mrs. Edward Meisinger. Fred Engel kemeier, Roy Chriswisser, Laura Engelkemeier, and Miss Sandra Burtch all of Plattsmouth; Mr. and Mrs. Richard Berner, Len nea and Kathy of Louisville. Ed Meisinger was unable to at tend due to illness. Mrs. Roy Chriswisser spent the afternoon with Mrs. A. H. Engelkemeier in Plattsmouth. Miss Brown Is the granddaugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Tyo and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Brown, Sr., of Louisville. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Wildrick spent Saturday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Murray in Omaha. On Sunday they were the dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Joe West and Mrs. Mary Tlgner of Omaha, and supper guests at the Glenn Murray home. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Craw ford were in Plattsmouth Sat urday, April 6, on business. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Wildrick and Agnes were Sunday dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Stein in Lincoln. Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Stein and Mrs. Emma Em bury all of Lincoln. The Oddfellows and Rebekahs had a covered dish luncheon Monday evening, April 1. There were 16 present. After luncheon, they played pinochle for the rest of the evening. They are planning on holding luncheons the first Monday evening of every month. Kenneth Edgerton of Minne apolis, Minn., and Miss Mar gie Witz of Wisconsin were Sun day dinner guests at the home of Mr. Edgerton's mother, Mrs. S. J. Edgerton. Afternoon and I evening callers were Mr. and Mrs. Walter Fornoff of Silver , City, la., who came after their daughter Jean, who has been spending some time with her grandmother; Mr. and Mrs.Leo Edgerton and Jeffrey of Omaha, and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Apacada of Omaha. Everybody had a pleasant and enjoyable evening visiting. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Sell, Jane and Joan were visitors Thursday April 4, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. James Anderson and fam ily at Logan, la. Miss Joan Sell is ill this week with the chicken pox. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Miner and son, Fred, Jr., were Sunday evening callers at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Orville Miner and family of Springfield. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Nlckles of Plattsmouth were Sunday visit ors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Woolhlser. Mr. and Mrs. John Ward took Mrs. Ward's mother, Mrs. Jake Renner of Weeping Water to the University Hospital in Omaha, Monday, April 8. Mrs. Renner is to undergo minor surgery, Tuesday, April 9. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Wildrick were Friday evening callers at the home of Mr. and Mrs.Logan Ansen and Melvin of Springfield. A total of 72 members attended the aft ernoon session and 114 attended the evening session. Mrs. Tony Ingalise and son, John, spent from Wednesday until Sunday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Myers. Mr. Ingalise came after Mrs. Ing- lise and son Sunday. The Inga lise' live in Omaha. Lewis Amelang returned to his home Sunday after staying at the home of his daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Ed ward Roe, where he has been recuperating since leaving the Methodist Hospital following an operation. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Sluyter and family were Sunday dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Meyers near Platts mouth. Mrs. Harold Thorns of Weeping Water was a Monday caller at the Sluyter home in Manley. F. of Louis ville, went roller skating at Ash land, Friday evening April 5. There was a big crowd in at tendance. Mrs. Bill Gwinn gave a buf fet supper, Saturday evening, April 16, honoring the birthdays of her husband, Bill and her mother, Mrs.. Clarence Craw ford.
