Dutch Club In Louisville Discusses Tour The Dutch Academy Club held its March meeting at the home of Mrs. Verle Vogler near Sprlngrield, on Wednesday aft ernoon, March 20. Ten mem bers and one visitor were pres ent. Meeting was opened by re cltlnc; the Nebraska Home Ex tension Ciub Creed. It was voted to give a donation to the Red Cross. Plans for the April tour were discussed. Mrs. Orrel Edgerton and Mrs. Arnold Hell presented the les son, "Let Others Help You With Oven Ready Biscuits and Rolls" which was quite Interesting. The April meeting will be replaced by the club tour to Omaha on April 16. Mrs. Vogler served a lunch at the close of the meeting. Seven Little Homemakers The Seven Little Homemakers 4-H Club met at the home cf assistant leader, Mrs. Marvin Petereit, March 18. All mem bers were present. Roll call was answered with the kind of cake liked best. The club dis cussed sewing and Judged sam ple skirts and blouses, Angel food cake and sponge cake made by the girls placing them as purple, blue, red or white. After the business meeting a delicious lunch was served. Patricia Melslnger News Reporter w. s. c. s. The Woman's Society of Chris tian Service of the Methodist Church met Thursday, March 28, in the church parlors. Mrs. Henrietta Alfrey, president, op ened the meeting. Mrs. Emilie Schwalm then gave the devo tions with song, prayer and Scripture reading from Luke. Reports of various committees were given. Mrs. Mary Amelang read an Interesting letter from Mrs. N. B. Calloway, wife of a former pastor. Bhe wrote of her visit in Alaska with her daughter, Jean, who Is teaching at An chorage. The annual conference of the W. S. C. S. was announced to be held the 9, 10 and 11 of April in Lincoln. The lesson was given by Mrs. Anna Stiffler on Paul's Letters to the local churches. As a vari ation, all took part In the dis cussion. After joining In the Lord'd Prayer, hostesses Mrs. Muriel Webster and Mrs. Dai sy McNealy served refresh ments. The next meeting will be on April 11. The hostesses will be Mrs. Emilie Schwalm and Mrs. Pattl Murray. Bedella Stander News Reporter Police Court Albln J. Stuchllc of Omaha, forfeited a $100 bond when he failed to appear in court on charges of driving while under the Influence of liquor. T. L. Ingrim of Meadow, was assessed a fine of $100 plus $4 court costs and lost his drivers license for six months, for driv ing while under the Influence of liquor. Mrs. Shirley Stewart of Den ver, Colo., visited last week at the home of her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Noell Gull. Mrs. Howard Dobbs, Bobby and Debby, returned home Sat urday night from St. Louis, Mo., where she attended the funeral of her brother-in-law, Eajl' Wright. Mr. and Mrs. Elwood LeRoy and family of Manley were Sun day guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Dobbs and family. Visitors Tuesday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Rich ard Helm were Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Hell, Mark and Her bert Jr. Mrs. Earl Hickman was a Wednesday afternoon visit or at the Helm home. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Helm, and Mr. and Mrs. Cavin Mol let of Syracuse attended the Ralston Square Dance Festival held in Omaha last Sturday night, March 30. 108 Annual Reunion Cass County Men In Scottish Rite The 108 reunion of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Free Masonary, opened in Lin coln Tuesday for degree work. There were sixty-two candidates for work in the Lincoln lodge of Perfection. The reunion meeting through Friday goes to the 32nd degree of the order. Harry A. Spenser Is venerable master of the Lin coln lodge of Perfection. Those from Cass County be ing received In the spring class are: John K. Grady, Arthur A. Pershing, Johnny A. Seefeld, all of Greenwood and Bert R. Muenchau of Eagle. Iowa Couple Weds W. C. LeMar of Council Blurfs, la., and Evelyn H. NEBRASKA, SEMI-WEEKLY IOURNAL Thursday, April 11, 1957 PAOK v Staff Sergeant Vault Dies At Offutt Field Staff 8ergeant Luther Vault, Jr., passed away at the Offutt Air Base Hospital from a heart attack Wednesday. He was 31 years old, born at Little Rock, Ark., August 15, 1925. The body will be shipped to Little Rock Friday for funeral services and burial.
