DGrtie JOnnSOn, Weening Wafer Dies YT CI5P"S arUf, UUCS, Aged 85 Years : Mrs. Bettie Johnson, resident of Weeping Water, died early Friday morning at St. Mary's hospital in Nebraska City. She has been ill for a long period. Mrs. Johnson was born Sept. 24, 1871, in Missouri, 85 years ago, although a resident of Weeping Water for almost a lifetime. She was a member of the Methodist church at' Weep ing Water. Funeral services were held Missionary church in Weeping Water with Rev. C. W. Severn conducting the services. Interment was at Oakwood cemetery at Weeping Water. Survivors are: four sons, El mer, Harold W. and Harvey of Nebraska City, D. L. Johnson, Syracuse; four daughtrs, Mrs. Margaret Garroans, Union; Mrs. Lena Rector, Mrs. June Pointer and Mrs. Mildred Ken nedy, all of Weeping Water. A number of grandchildren and great grandchildren also sur vive. Her husband, George, one son and one daughter preceded her in death. Called to York by Death of Uncle Mrs. William Woolcott has returned home from - York where she was called by the death of her uncle, Everett Gould. The deceased was a pioneer of York having lived in that community since 1874. After retiring from the farm, he was the proprieter of a fine china, silver and cut glass store at York.
