New Briefs From Eagle Mr. and Mrs. Henry Fleish man and Mr. and Mrs. Herman Fleishman of Ashland, Nebr. tripped to Oregon and visited the latter's son and family, the Verle Fleishman's at Sandy, near Portland, Oregon. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Fleishman also vis ited Mrs. Fleishman's cousins at Portland, Corvallis and Rose berg Oregon. All the relatives lived in a beautiful valley and profitable fruitful country. A 1 1 the above are former Elmwood, Nebr. residents before moving to the coast. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Gerhard entertained at their home Sun day evening, with a dinner hon oring the three birthdays of Mr. Gerhard, a grandson, Randy McCoy (2 yrs.) and Randy's father. Dale McCoy. Mr. Mc Coy's mother, Mrs. Anna McCoy of Lincoln wTas also present. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Fleish man attended the funeral serv ices of Mrs. Albert Fleishman at Tekamah, Nebr., Tuesday aft ernoon. Mrs. Fleishman - died suddenly at her home due to a clot, she having suffered for sev eral years with a diabetic ill ness and had a leg injury prior to her death. The deceased and husband are former Elmwood residents. Mr. and Mrs. Murl' Miller and family of Elmwood and Mr. and Mrs. Hildreth Anderson of Wa erly, Nebr. visited Mrs. Miller and Mrs. Anderson's father, Mr. A. J. Nelson and with the lat ter attended the 50th wedding anniversary opeii house for the D. F. Schwegman's, neighbors and long-time friends of the fam ilies. Mrs. James Eastridge was re turned to the St. Elizabeth hos pital in Lincoln last Monday aft er a relapse. Little Wendy Bell, four year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Bell had the misfortune to have the tip of her finger taken off, when she got it shut in a door. It is healing up very nicely. Mr. and Mrs. Gomer Worthan and family have returned to Cass County to find a place to live and a job for Mr. Worthan. Mr. and Mrs. Worthan and Di anne are visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. M. H. Worthan while Betty Jo is visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Lancaster, Nancy and Janice. Mrs. Neva Read has taken a. part time job at the Plattsmouth Hotel Coffee shop as waitress. : The Sunnyside Club met last' Thursday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Gene Gruber with Mrs. Robert Nickles as vj-hostess.
