He war. valedictorian of the class and has accepted a scholraship from the Nebraska Teachers Colleges. More are expected to start during the Trcck. This school is sponsored by the Christian, Congregational, and Methodist Churches of Weeping Water. The kindergarten and pre kindergarten children will be under the direction of Mrs. Ethel Ratnour. They meet at the Methodist Church from 9 ajn. to 11:30 ajn. Mrs. Ratnours helpers are Mrs. Bernard Johnson, Mrs. Earl Cook, Myraa Van Horn, Ramona Gardner, and Phyllis Krogh. The primary group composed of children in the first, second and third grades of this school year are under the direction of Mrs. Ed Van Horn. They meet in the basement of the Congre gational Church from 9 a. m. to 11:30 a. in. Her assistants are Mrs Charles Freeman, Mrs. David Baxter, Lois Patton, Judy Do mingo, Juanita Nichols. Mrs. L. N. Hauseman is in charge of the junior department consisting of the fourth, fifth and sixth grades. They hold classes at the Christian Church from 9 a. m. to 11:30 a. m. Assistants to her are Mrs. Grace Freeman, Mrs. E. J. Steckley, Linda Norris Loreli Smith and Susan Wood. Rev. E. K. Bauman supervises the Junior High group, with Mrs. Bauman, Mrs. Eugene Domingo, and Mrs. Stanley Schroeder as sisting him. Miss Jean Domingo is acting general secretary and treasurer for the school which will last for 2 weeks. The planning for this school and Faye Hammcns. Mrs. Leon Bond and Mrs. Lynn Rothe sang "Saved by Grace." Mrs. Bond closed with a prayer. Sunday School will begin at 9 am. and church at 10 ana. on June 1. Officers in charge this year ! were President Jerry Stone, Vice President Bud Wallick and Mrs. Harlon Gibson, secretary-treasurer. The invocation was given by Ray Norris. Miss Mildred Hart and the Senior Class of 1956 were honored guests. Miss Hart was presented with a corsage. Wilbur L, Morris served as toastmaster for the evening. Mrs. Florence Paap introduced the Senior Class. Everyone was welcomed to this annual affair by Jerry Stone. Shirley Switzer accompanied by Mrs. S. H. Harmon sang a solo. Toasts were given by Mrs. Jack Mclnytre, .Mrs. Willis Lorensen, and Charles Gibson, each giving their best wishes to the Seniors of 56. Several out of towners showed up the one coming the greatest distance being from Maryland. The election of officers was held with "Bugs" Kecklar being elected as president, Mrs. Reg inald Colbert, vice-president; and John Graesser, secretary and treasurer. The class of 56 was voted in to the alumni. The delicious meal, with 153 Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Group and family spent Friday at Har lan, Iowa, visiting relatives and did some decorating at the cemetery. Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Vogler and Marvin called Sunday eve ning at the Dayton Hennings home. Organize 4-H Club Girls meet to organize a 4-H Club. Six girls met at the El mer Sprieck home May 24 to organize their 4-H Club. They elected officers and chose their project and decided to name their club "Laughing Lassies." Mrs. Ed Guthrie and Peggie Sue and Jim of Omaha spent the weekend at the John Hitter home near Weeping Water and with Mrs. Ritter called at the Tom Tennant home Saturday evening. Willis Rhodes of Kearney ar rived Sunday afternoon at the Elmer Johnson home. Mrs. MeMn Reed, Rita and Diane, visited at the Elmer Sprieck home Friday. Birthday Party Mrs. Dayton entertained Fri day afternoon. Present were Mrs. Stanley Sparks, Deinen and Dee Ann, Mrs. Herman Hen nings, Dennis and Sheryl, Elaine Terryberry, Susan Livingston, Mrs. Arnold Vogler and Mar vin, and Mrs. William Graham. Games were played, ice cream and cake were served honoring Shirley's birthday. Mr. and Mrs. Dayton Hennings visited at the Walter Stander home and the new baby Thurs day evening. Mr. and Mrs. Richard Heens have started their house. They had the basement dug Thurs day. They decided to leave the farm because of Mr. Heen's health. Bible School will open in Louisville June 4. Mrs. Lena Schroeder and Mrs. M. K. Schroeder, Carol and Ron ald of Syracuse visited Mr. and Mrs. Tom Tennant and together drove to the Glendale Ceme tery Friday evening.
