Mr. and Mrs. August Stohlman Sr., celebrated their 52nd wed ding anniversary quietly at their home April 27th. Most of their family called in the evening to be with them. Lunch was served. The next meeting will be June 2, which will be a hike at Bernie Dills, near South Bend. Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Bennett were Friday dinner guests of his uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Art Box. They were enroute to their home in Denver, Colo, aft- t-er visiting relatives in Winna- toon. Clinton Nichols left Monday evening for his home in Mil burn, Alberta, Canada, and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Schuelke left Tuesday morning for their home in Enid, Okla. Each carried a sack lunch which they ate at the park. Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Moore and sons spent Sunday evening at the Art Box home. Birthday Party Bobby Long was ten years old Friday. His mother, Mrs. Sam Long, entertained the boys from the third and fourth grade room at Murdock at a weiner roast at the Long home that afternoon. There were 20 little boys, in cluding three cousins, Emil Carl, Dale and Roger Sturzeneg- ger of Gretna present. The boys j also played baseball. New cupboards were installed in the kitchen. At present Mr. and Mrs. Miller are refinishing the floors and varnishing wood work.
